$tinkworx returns on new label from Newworldaquarium
New label news #3511: Ace American producer $tinkworx helms the first release on Indishe Buurt, the newly established label from Dutch producer Newworldaquarium.
Most recently seen closing proceedings on the Rush Hour Amsterdam All Stars compilation, Newworldaqurium aka Jochem Peteri is one of the most enduring fixtures of Dutch house/techno, with a discography that sprawls across the likes of Planet E, Peacefrog and Delsin. The launch of the Indishe Buurt label complements the NWAQ imprint that Peteri established in 2004 which has acted as an outlet for his own material, as well as releasing music from M>O>S Recordings boss Aroy Dee.
The producer chosen to launch Indishe Buurt will elicit yelps of excitement, with the elusive shark fancying American techno producer JT Stewart aka $tinkworx at the helm for a limited vinyl-only release entitled Krill Proto. Always accompanied by distinctive artwork, Stewart’s music has graced an illustrious range of labels in Bunker, Delsin, Rush Hour, W.T Records and Legowelt’s Strangelife Records. Last seen occupying a split release with the mighty Scan 7 on a FrequeNC 12″ back in 2010, the return of $tinkworx is long overdue.
No firm release date on this yet, but do expect the debut Indishe Buurt 12″ to arrive in heavyweight 180g vinyl and do expect to be blown away by the A Side “Krill Proto”, which adopts a nightmarish approach to continuing the themes first explored by Drexciya.
