Glass Candy return with Warm In The Winter

Some splendid news surfaced from Italians Do It Better HQ over the weekend, as the label debuted some soon to be released new material from Glass Candy in the shape of “Warm In The Winter” and “Beautiful Object”.

The two tracks mark the first new material from the Glass Candy duo of Ida No and Johnny Jewel in far too long, with their last album B/E/A/T/B/O/X released back in 2007 followed by a succession of reissued rarities, B sides and track revisions, most notably the 2008 release Deep Gems.

Regardless, the band are still considered the jewel in the IDIB crown here at Juno Plus, and their new material certainly justifies that belief, with “Warm In The Winter” in particular fully retaining that classic Glass Candy fuzzy sound of soaring synth arpeggios and heart melting vocals from the enigmatic Miss No.

Italians Do It Better will release Warm In The Winter/Beautiful Object by Glass Candy on coloured vinyl in the very near future.
