Video: Keep Plastic People alive
A group of Plastic People lovers from Spine TV have produced this great film showing the importance of the club to the UK music scene, in light of lingering fears the venue may be forced to close.
The legendary Shoreditch club has been served with a police notice that may force it to close its doors. Plastic People have appealed the decision and the outcome hangs in the balance.
Vitally important to the capital’s bass music scene, not to mention a favoured haunt of everyone from Theo Parrish and Moodymann to Four Tet and Burial, the loss of Plastic People would be a tragedy for London’s electronic music scene.
The film was produced by Samira Bin Sharifu and Ruby Savage, filmed by Nick Bamigboye and edited by Jasper Delamothe, and features music from FunkinEven, Fatima, Cessa, Mozez & The Raah Project.
