RBMA announces 2010 dates

Roller discos with Moodymann, workshopping with Drums of Death and performances by a slew of international musical luminaries: all this and more features in the Red Bull Music Academy’s plans for London in 2010.

This year’s events calendar has been split into two terms, February 7-19 and February 28-March 12.

Among the many highlights is a techno-jazz performance at the Royal Festival Hall on Feb 12 featuring Carl Craig, Moritz Von Oswald, Francesco Tristano, Henrik Schwarz and Terre Thaemlitz (DJ Sprinkles).

There will be more Detroit royalty hitting the UK, with Moodymann hosting one of his famed roller disco events; he’ll even be taking over some of the motor city’s best roller skaters (aged 8-80!) especially for the show at South London’s Renaissance Rooms.

This year’s selection of workshops, lectures and panel discussion will include the likes of the scary Scotsman Drums of Death and Stones Throw’s psyche devotee b-boy James Pants.
