LCD Soundsystem and Air for Sónar

The first two names for Sónar 2010 have been announced, with LCD Soundsystem and Air set to play live at Spain’s leading electronic music festival.

James Murphy is back for a second year running, after performing a disco-only DJ set with LCD cohort Pat Mahoney in 2009.

French act Air will also perform live, after making a triumphant return to form with their Love 2 album in 2009.

The 2010 festival (June 17-19) will be take place simultaneously in Barcelona and A Coruña, the first time in its history that it has been held in two locations.

The A Coruña event, dubbed Sónar Galicia, will have a Sónar by Day with a music line-up, and a multimedia and audiovisual area with a special emphasis on Galician artists. The Sónar by Night stages will feature the latest leading lights in electronica.
