Review: A couple of years ago Fedde Le Grand was just another Dutch DJ whose name hadn't really crossed national borders….

Now Fedde is the dance music success story of the moment - a dance music hit factory that's second-to-none. He has
produced two singles of mammoth proportions. 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' opened the account in fine style, topping
the charts in October 2006 and riding high as the dancefloor anthem of the year. Then 'The Creeps' followed things up in
March 2007 - Fedde mixing Camille Jones' haunting vocals with his raw, bass-heavy production sending the track to
the right end of the charts yet again.

Now Fedde has prepared his third salvo and it's fair to say this young Dutchman is on a roll. 'Let Me Think About It' is a
masterclass in dancefloor mechanics and pop sensibilities. Fedde has remixed Ida Corr's original into one of the most
addictive and ingenious dance records for time. The track's monster hook is dominating dancefloors already, with Pete
Tong simply calling it, 'one of the records of the year.' Kiss FM have playlisted 12 weeks upfront, and with superhit status
across the Galaxy Network, it's already shaping up to be another Data Records smash.

  1. The Robots
  2. Spacelab
  3. Metropolis
  4. The Model
  5. Neon Lights
  6. The Man Machine
Review: 'The Man-Machine' is closer to the sound and style that would define early new wave electro-pop. Less minimalistic in its arrangements and more complex and danceable in its underlying rhythms. Like its predecessor, 'Trans-Europe Express', there is the feel of a divided concept album, with some songs devoted to science fiction-esque links between humans and technology, often with electronically processed vocals ("The Robots," "Spacelab," and the title track); others take the glamour of urbanization as their subject ("Neon Lights" and "Metropolis"). Plus, there's "The Model," a character sketch that falls under the latter category but takes a more cynical view of the title character's glamorous lifestyle. More pop-oriented than any of their previous work, the sound of 'The Man-Machine' in particular among Kraftwerk's oeuvre had a tremendous impact on the cold, robotic synth pop of artists like Gary Numan, as well as Britain's later new-romantic movement.

Review: Trax, the original home of house music, gave birth to the biggest movement in club music since the dawn of disco. The famous Chicago house label, started in the early 1980s by Larry Sherman and Vince Lawrence, is responsible for the release of "Acid Tracks" by Phuture, "Move Your Body" by Marshall Jefferson, and many other records that shaped the Chicago and acid house sounds through till the early 1990s. We are proud to present this first series of 20 classic reissues coming out before summer. It features records by groundbreaking artists such as Jamie Principle, Adonis, Joey Beltram - all in their much sought after original versions - next to astonishing remixes by icons like Basement Jaxx, Claude Young, The Advent & more.

  1. Poor People Must Work (Carl Craig remix)
  2. See Mi Version (Basic Channel reshape)
Review: Carl Craig's annus mirabilis for remixing continues in similar vein as his work on Theo Parrish and Delia Gonzales, the take here of Bobo Shanti's "Poor People Must Work" should be hugely popular at all this summer's parties. Rhythm & Sound construct, by their own admission, a hard-steppin-funk Basic reshape of Willi Williams' by-now epochal "See Mi Yah" a true dub anthem for the dancefloor.

  3. Acting Crazy (edit) (3:59)
Review: At the third release on their deep house division Basic Channel keeps introducing new singers. Paul St Hilaire brings in a refreshing reggae flavour to the rather classic deep house set-up. The main vocal mix one A-side is allied with an instrumental on the B-side that reminiscent of Maurizio or Basic Channel releases.

Review: Different is now releasing this masterpiece of Vitalic in a remastered version. In the recent years if there was an EP that changed the world of techno it's this one with no doubt. Released in 2001 this EP was not available for a while. After re-introducing the Poney Part I with a video of dogs jumping all-over in slow-motion, Different is now releasing this master-piece of Vitalic in a remastered version.
