Selador Decade Vol 1
3D & Robert Owens - "Known Love" (7:51)
Olivier Giacomotto & Quivver - "Snailblazer" (6:40)
Dave Seaman & Hernan Cattaneo - "Napkin Knowledge" (7:28)
Argia & Jepe - "Salitre" (7:38)
Review: In celebration of their tenth birthday, Selador marks the occasion in style with a four-track collaborative EP, featuring tracks from 3D, Robert Owens, Olivier Giacomotto, Quivver, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, Argia, and Jepe. The opening track, 'Known Love', is a deep, pulasting house tune that feels like an instant classic, perhaps thanks to the soulful, pop-tinged vocals - think LCD soundsystem meets Four Tet. 'Snailblazer', the second track on the EP, takes a much darker turn, with a chugging, EBM-esque feel. Full-bodied and complete with obscured vocals, this is the kind of track to pull out your bag when it's time to really get stuck in. On the B-side, 'Napkin Knowledge' draws on the glistening synths of eurodance, yet still securing the melodies to a grounded bassline and rhythm section. 'Salitre' is the perfect closing track, rising up in a gleaming, ecstatic melody, before delicately returning to ground level. A varied yet firmly cohesive collaborative release - the perfect way for Selador to kick off their 2023 catalogue.

8Kays & Juan Hansen - "Falling Down" (Chris Avantgarde remix) (6:52)
8Kays - "Lyra" (5:23)
Review: Watergate, the cult Berlin club known for its riverside location and legendary LED ceiling above the dancefloor, is also a reputable tech house label that deals in fresh names only. Here it is 8Kays that makes a debut with Falling Down, a selection of superb collaborations including 'Matematica' with Glowal which is tense and electric tech with indie vocals and with Juan Hansen he cooks up the medically hopeful 'Falling Down' which then gets two remixes. Colyn & Beswerda make it into a moody and deep groove, Chris Avantgarde brings some peak time prog energy and solo cut 'Lyra' has a warm, paddy broken beat to cruise on through the stars.

Sabb & Black Circle - "Vega" (6:29)
JAMIIE & Niko Schwind - "Suwedi" (7:24)
Emanuel Satie & Nanghiti - "Forever More" (4:59)
Review: Watergate welcomes back a crew of regular artists for an EP taken from the 27th instalment of its long running mix series. The Adana Twins kick off with a dark and bubbling minimal house number to set a late night mood then Sabb & Black Circle combine to great effect on the more uplifting, piano laced 'Vega', no doubt inspired by the house icon of the same name. Flip it over for 'Suwedi', a tech house track that traps you in a trance with computer melodies and last of all Emanuel Satie & Nanghiti get all spiritual and joyous with the warm house surges of 'Forever More.'

It's My Time (6:57)
Blow By Blow (7:19)
The Pursuit (5:34)
Review: It's been six years since Martin "Atjazz" Iveson started mentoring South African producer Jullian Gomes, and five since they last released any collaborative material. Perhaps they shouldn't have left it so long, because the material showcased here is exceptionally good. The standout for us is undoubtedly breezy soulful deep house jam "It's My Time", though EP opener "Daggers Drawn", a suitably symphonic and musically complex cut that pairs atmospheric orchestration and electronics with a snappy, tech-house beat, is almost as inspired. Elsewhere, "Blow By Blow" is a spacey and woozy number rich in broken house beats, and "The Pursuit" is a swinging, triple time workout that draws heavily on Gomes' South African heritage.

Agua (Diogo Strausz & JKriv remix) (7:10)
Agua (JKriv & Diogo Strausz dub) (6:07)
Review: This glorious package of remixes of the BaianaSystem band draws together contemporary Brazilian sounds with plenty of modern dance floor flourishes. A?gua is the standout track from their 2018 LP and is a poem to the bands native Bahia people with the legendary Antonio Carlos & Jocafi. It is perfect material to rework for different settings and deep house don Jimpster does that with his fat bottomed, tropical remix then stripped back dub. Brazilian producer Diogo Strausz joins forces with RNT boss JKriv on the flip for a more drawn out and cosmic exploration that pumps up and down on weight bass and that lovely loose jumble of percussion.

Review: On his contribution to Watergate's mix series, Biesmans has decided to showcase his own tracks, and mostly a dizzying array of previously unheard collaborations with some seriously talented producers. It makes sense then that the German imprint has decided to show off the best of these across two vinyl samplers, of which this is the second. It's a great collection all told, with opener 'Quantum Computing' - a bumping piano-house hook-up with one of his musical heroes, Mathew Jonson - and the effortlessly funky nu-disco workout 'Me Gusta Acid', co-produced by Kid Simius, standing out. Elsewhere, solo cut 'Hipster Paradise' and Johannes Albert collaboration 'Luft' are also well worth a listen.

Review: Prognose has sniffed out another collection of retro-future minimal tech house gems here with four artists offering up one track each for this third new outing. Boss Priester's 'Let The Kids Play' is a nice loopy opener with smooth drums and cool synths that have hints of cosmic magic. Jesse Jacob gets more unsigned with the surging 90s bassline and groggy chords of 'Time To Undust This Machine' then Garouda's' 'All The People' has a bit of a garage shuffle as it hurries on through the stars. Distilled Noise' 'Agape' does some freaky things with filtered vocals and skittish percussion.

Review: Native Soul Recordings has been around a long old time in dance music terms and now it looks back over some of its finest works with this first in a new series of Best Of comps. Music writer Harold Heath is first up with 'Slipstream,' an effortless smooth late-night house cut with introspective chords and silky pads bringing real depth. The Candy Dealers get more lithe and elastic with the spraying bass and jumbled percussive house of 'Train Of Thought' and last of all, Asad Rizvi remixes Jevne's 'Moderize' with a funky little bassline and chord vamps that keep you on edge. A tasteful package of timeless house grooves.

Limited to just 300 copies this is a much-welcomed love letter to DJs and the original EP, giving it a lease of new life and being a much-anticipated sequel to the sold-out original Makossa Man Remix EP that is set to release later this August. Carlos Nilmmns and Simoncino are a welcome return to the roster, serving up another plate of fantastic tribal deep house. The rhythms are infectious and hopefully serve as samples for some incredible DJ sets to come.

Chaos In The CBD & Jon Sable - "Te Puke Thunder" (7:11)
Jon Sable - "Ascension Island" (5:56)
Review: First available digitally earlier in the year and now finally out on wax, this tidy 12" showcases a quartet of killer cuts from the studios of In Dust We Trust co-founders, Chaos in the CBD (New Zealand-born siblings Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales) and Jon Sable. The trio offer up two collaborative cuts, both of which give different spins on the fusion of dub techno and hypnotic deep house. There's opener 'Mahia Madness', a thickset, late-night number that's as dubby and hazy as any Deepchord record, and the gently picturesque, Sprinkles-esque 'To Puke Thunder'. The EP also boasts a solo track apiece, with Chaos in the CBD opting for non-stop, energy-packed deep techno hypnotism ('Coral Castle'), and Sable reaching for dreamy deep house chords and rubbery broken beats ('Ascension Island').

Review: Spanish label MATE host a four track, two artist 12" that stretches across the Atlantic to take in top house music talents from both sides. The Belgian duo Chasse follow their releases on Robsoul and Exploited take on the A-side, with 'Viola' proving a chunky but emotive offering held together by rhythmic sax stabs and suspended strings and 'Deep Link' a jazzier affair, the sax let properly loose as a plaintive piano loops atmospherically. The prolific Detroit producer Javonntte, a regular on the label, offers up the fantastic Moog improv wigout of 'Sunday Brunch Cocktail', registering some impressively original high frequency operations. 'When Music Feels' boasts a spoken word vocal from Javonntte's own sister and a more classic deep house sound with an uplifting, spiritual vibe. Maximum value for money via four very playable tunes.

Review: Synkronized is just three releases deep now but is already an assured and reliable outlet for fresh house sounds. This latest offering takes the form of a various artists EP and opens with the brilliantly spaced out electronic house of'Lorenzo Chiabotti & Just_Me's 'Darko FM'. It's a silky one with balmy pads that encourage you to dive right in. This series is something of an annual end-of-year tradition by now (OK, it's arriving a touch late) and this one hits as hard as any with five tracks taken from the full and standout compilation. It is two great remixes of classic RNT material that gets things underway with Ezel offering a dub of Cor.ece and Bruce Leroys sublime deep hose mix of Guinu, then JKriv's 'Better Than Her' is a fat bottomed bit of deep cut electro funk and elsewhere Kim Anh gets raw and cosmic, and Cody Currie's 'Ghost' is broken beat perfection.

On the first side, there's the soulful disco of the title track (extended mix) in collaboration with label co-head JKriv, followed by the acidified spiritual deep house of 'What's The Word' featuring Danny Kane. Review: The Pronto (house) label races onward and upwards with a sixth release that is here to get the floor bumping. It's a collaborative affair from James Curd & Jonasclean who race out of the blocks with the fat and heavy stomper 'Mullen It Over' which has snaking leads and rushy-feels. Would it surprise you to learn that the Fred P Reinterpretation is deep, heady and spiritual? Marcel Vogal remixes too, though with a more upbeat feel and lush summery chords. Curd also provides a solo prison of the same track that piles up the chords and a 'Tried For Love' (feat Robert Owens) is classic vocal Chicago house.

Review: Landing on a hand-stamped, blue marble and limited edition 12" are four more deep and dubbed out house tunes from the latest instalment of Mireia's We'll Sea series. Das Komplex kicks off with a serious aqueous rhythm drenched in waves of synth with a pained vocal sample that really makes it stick in your mind. Tecwaa knocks it back even further to a slow motion underwater dub current that gently moves you to a state of bliss. 'Nebula' from Achim Maerz is more upright and upbeat, with bright chords shining through the vast groove caverns as neat chords dance up top. 'Sky Waves' closes out in warm, rough edged lo-fi deep house fashion.

Review: Daniel David (FKA Trailer Limon) makes a great impression on Bastard Jazz with his first solo record. This 7" finds him link with the Jazz Mafia for a feature after he has done plenty of work with the legendary San Francisco duo the Pendletons. Because of that he is credited with helping to kickstart the Bay Area's modern funk resurgence but here he shows he has plenty of his own skills too. 'Tambor De Cura' (with Guinu) is bustling jazz that is vibrant and vivacious with big horns, steamy jungle atmospheres, humid pads, bird calls and many other great details that form a hefty groove. 'Devotion' is then a funky jazz fusion with cosmic pads and lush vocals.

Review: Moiss Music released a hot pair of EPs in February and repeat the same trick in May with another quality double drop. It is a various artists offering as always with DJ Delivery's 'Never Gonna Give You Up' a sure-fire floor-filling anthem to start things off. It's got loopy drums and string samples as well as sumptuous vocal harmony then Borka & The Gang keep the feel-good vibes alive with 'Kidding Feelings and Even Funkier's' Dance With Your Feet' is another smile-inducing bit of disco warmth with withering sic-fi synths and hip swinging claps. Review: Three sumptuous offerings of quality grooves from the Aesthetic series, as Paris club scene fave Djebali and Argentinian DJ and producer Jorge Savorett join forces once again. This choice trio definitely veers on the side of the under rather than over stated, preferring to rely on warm rhythmic flourishes and enticing, inviting instrumentation rather than thumping firepower or gimmickry. The beats are tight and hypnotic, with perhaps just the slightest hint of a nod to the shuffling drum machine funk of early Derrick May productions like 'Nude Photo' here and the more head nodding repetition of Chicago jack house there. Aesthetically pleasing for sure.

Review: It's coming home, it's coming home - house music is coming home! A second instalment of the Groove Access: series Chicago Is Home offers us five fresh tracks from the windy city landing in a glorious cavalcade of razor edged snares and hypnotic jack house. Ed Nine & Kid Enigma's 'Bandleaders' opens side one in spectacular fashion with spoken mantras lying deep in the mix, distinctive phasing arpeggios, poking keyboard riffs and ringing cymbals. JSquare's 'Get Wicked' kicks with even more power, tribal rhythms bouncing of bleepy melodies, before 'Move' by Geto Mark rounds off the side with the strutting, beautifully brutal 'Move', a proper 3AM peak time pleaser. Steve Noah's 'The Hater' opens side two, a wily acid line worming its way across a raw, stripped down backing before exploding into serious gnarliness when you least expect it. AFTR's 'Undercover' rounds things off with another knuckle duster of a tune, leaving no doubt that Chicago is still the place to be when it comes to house.

Joradesilver is behind one, and also feature sin collaborative mode on this other 12". It opens with 'King David', a hi-tek house sound with soul drenched pads and tightly programmed drums and bass. Review: Youandewan's Small Hours label is indeed small but beautifully formed so far. This fifth transmission is another doozy that collects four different artists who all operate on the spaced out end of the electronic house and minimal spectrum. The Former Landlords kick off with breezy and balmy 90s tech house style sounds on 'Council Pop' then Session 4000 go 'Off' with plenty of sci-fi pads and clipped, kinetic drum programming as well as some playful vocal samples. Mop Py' 'Beskar' is a more psychedelic late night wonder with gurgling bass and lovely neon synth trails. Jad & The complete this essential slab of wax.

Review: As one of the most cherished of all house tracks ever made, you have to be careful who you ask to remix Frankie Knuckles and Jamie Principle's 'Your Love'. Darius Syrossian recognises this as he offers a contemporary version of the track on this 12", threading a chunky, lightly swung tech house back bone to the track and slipping some breakbeats in underneath those dizzying emotional peaks in the track. Meanwhile Alan Dixon creates a version that holds closer to the original and simply beefs up the drums and threads some fatter synths into the mix. Meanwhile Knuckles himself teamed up with Eric Kupper to form Director's Cut in 2011, and their version appears here as a subtle update to the power of the original.

This time, however, he leases his wax space out to two fresh-faced mates: Specter and Jose Rico, who occupy the B-side and nearly snatch his crown with the wonky dub-house stepper 'You Don't Believe'. Review: This collaboration between Jimi Tenor and Tomasz Guiddo shines brightly and features a heartwarming hook that really lodges deep in the brain as 'Where The Wild Roam' pairs ancient-sounding lo-fi drums with a Western-style whistle and plenty of earthy, twanging guitars. Next up the legendary Louie Austen lends his vocals to 'Smile' for a steamy and tropical house sound lit up with Latin melodies over a shuffling, samba-adjacent rhythm. Erobique, known for chart hits in Europe and his work with DJ Koze, contributes his magic, while Freestyle Man, aka Sasse from Moodmusic, delivers his trademark deep house style. Ale Castro adds a DJ-friendly house version, enhancing the EP's overall allure.

'Don't Know It' by Highrise opens up with a distantly 90s vibe, then Sky Joose shows his class on 'On The Shores' with its hard-edged bassline and full-throttle drums. Johnny U-Tah works some re-pitched and time-stretched vocals to perfection on 'Voices In My Head', with further gems from The Thunderkats whose 'Melatron' is a piano-laced bumper and last of all Jay Ward's 'Everything That I Need' brims with vocal lushness. This latest platter is another on that truly matters with Huerta opening up with 'DAYL' which showcases his distinctive blend of spaced-out breaks and silky tech house. Jacksonville's 'Data Log' is ahems down and deep late-night cosmic excursion and Nlxlb's 'Gravitate' keeps you afloat on mellifluous astral lines and twinkling melodic stars. 100Hz shuts down with 'Ggg', a unique mix of floating pads and barely-there rhythm that grow in stature as your journey to the certain edges of the galaxy unfolds.

Phone Games (Audio Werner remix) (6:03)
Review: Onysia is a label run by J Gabriel and he has said that his new Vice EP really sums up the sort of sound they are trying to explore. It's a great one, too - silky minimal house that has plenty of charm and warmth so is as suited to a nice outdoor daytime session as it is a back room get down. The title track as silky drums and warm, glowing melodies next to drums that echo 'Inspector's Norse's' playful bounce. 'Messup' is another one with bendy cosmic lines and a cheeky character while 'Phone Games' keeps up the classy with phased bass, lazy but hypnotic drum tumbles and great samples. Audio Werner flips it into something more dubby to round out a lovely EP.

Party Going On (6:49)
Freaky Like That (with Jasper James) (7:28)
Let's Go (Tom Trago remix) (14:37)
Review: After necessarily taking time out for personal reasons, Jackmaster is slowly but surely getting back to where he was a few years ago. The party-staring Scot was a real DJ circuit favourite who also knew how to kick out the jams and that's what he does here for the fourth release on the Slack 85 label which debuted last year under the auspices of a certain Seth Troxler. 'Party Going On' is pure fun - a flaming hue cut with an impossibly catchy and pitched-up vocal. 'Freaky Like That' (with Jasper James) is surging Detroit house music with analogue drums and 'Let's Go' (Tom Trago Remix) is a dirty, loopy disco house cut and we love it.

Review: Numbers doyen and Glaswegian beatmaker Jackmaster is back after a time away sorting out some personal issues. Here he lands on Trance Fusion with the sort of high impact beats with which he made his name. There is shuffling and rambunctious old school house on 'Face Your Fate', 'Vizor' is super quick, super tight and catchy house that has massive hits and restless synths while 'SBS' layers up old school Detroit techno percussion to electric effect. Two further bangers in the electro-tinged 'A Tribute To LD' and downbeat 'Electro 106' close out a fine return.

Review: Josh Milan and Louie Vega are real heavyweights and as Soul Fusion they step up here to remix the legendary 'Little Orphan Boy' which is the second single taken from album 'This Is Brian Jackson', the veteran artist's first true solo LP in over 20 years. They do so across four different versions and give it a vintage treatment. The extended 'Two Soul Fusion' mix brings back golden era of Masters at Work with a Latin-infused percussion groove while the 'Downtempo' remix lets Brian Jackson's vocals ride over a stripped back but just as soulful arrangement.

Review: New label klaxon! Squid Ink is making its bow here with a fine statement of tech house intent from Joey Jackson. This label is a project from Animal Crossing where Jackson has released a few times before. He opens this one with the warm and inviting 'Bass Invasion' before 'I Want I Need' sinks into a deeper grove with carful piano chords and a nice old school and classic house vibe. The silky synth designs and subtle but effective drums continue on 'Jamaica Street' which is another catchy dancer before 'Green Dolla Bills' (with Tom Gilinsky) shuts down with a more loopy and percussive feel and an irresistible vocal.

The Collusion EP features four originals, suitable for all dancefloor vibes, from acid to tech. On the first side, you've got the groovy back room dub of the title track, followed by the 303-centred boompty business of 'Six Damage'. Over on the flip, you are further treated to more ethereal and bass-driven delights such as 'Prohibition To Access' and the afterhours minded bounce of 'Disturbia' that's perfect for those heads-down moments.

Remember Me (version 2) (6:28)
Review: Burnski's Constant Black keeps on serving up the heat with a new one from Michael James, who is something of a label regular by now. He kicks off here with 'Remember' featuring a rather iconic vocal sample that cannot fail to get crowds going. It's well worked over an infectious house beat with warming bass. 'Tequila' is another kinetic cut, this time with skewed synth lines and prickly percussion that is raw and tech-edged. Closing out this classy but party-starting EP is 'Remember Me' (version 2) which is a real pumper with twisted acid lines and a killer groove that is catchy as Covid. Another vital drop from this label, as always.

Review: For a few years a while ago, Robert James was one of the hottest names in house. He ushered in the post-minimal era with colourful, accessible sounds that brought some much needed life and charm back to the scene. After disappearing for a time he returned with his debut album in May and now some of it gets some top remixes. Slapfunk's Anil Aras pumps a nice cosmic house vibe, Kepler does his tight, high tempo work and Thoma Bulwer & Anna Wall combine their skills once more on a clipped, punchy tech house version of 'Planet 90.' Laidlaw lays out some electronic drum funk with a fine version of 'Infinity' to close.

The best of them come on his own label 326 which is where he arrives now with this new 12" Dancefloor Damage Vol 1. It's a tight affair with just one cut on each side of the wax, starting with 'Maqnifique' which is a steamy, intense disco house stomper with wiry lines and unrelenting grooves. On the flip is a very different vibe - a sunny, flute-led led and jazzy soulful house number with heart-melting chords.

Review: There's much to admire on this first collaborative EP from Rotterdam dwellers Jamie 3:26 and Danou P, not least epic A-side workout 'Roy Layers', a warming, drowsy and musically expansive deep house tribute to Roy Ayers. A genuine epic that stretches out for 13 magical minutes, the track boasts a variety of spacey, jazz-funk style synth solos and expressive vibraphone workouts rising above an organic, laidback deep house groove. Over on the reverse, 'Bushman B' sees them pepper a tougher, locked-in and fiendishly sub-heavy house beat with excitement and energy-packed Hammond riffs, while 'Rug Burn' is a sweat-soaked, disco-sampling beast packed to the rafters with gospel organs and thumping kick-drums.

Review: The latest single from Jamie Smith's 2015 album In Colour, featuring The xx bandmate Romy Madley Croft, gets the remix treatment from a pretty stellar cast. Starting off, Hivern Discs boss John Talabot gets on board with his "Loud Synths Reconstruction" which definitely lives up to its name on this driving proggy take on the track. Ed Russell aka West Country bass techno auteur Tessela steps up and delivers a typically thumping and funked up rendition which is a real highlight on here. Here the veteran Australian producer brings his brand of analogue-rich house and techno to Cyphon Recordings for the very first time. Naturally, Jansen's high standards don't dip across the six-track mini album, making it a genuine must-check. Our picks of a sensationally strong bunch include the trippy deep house hypnotism of 'Salt Circuit', the outer-space electro shuffle of 'Brinewave', the moody and high-tech Drexciyan rush of 'Faulty Gelfing' and the gently intergalactic deep house-meets-tech house warmth of 'Surabaya'.

He serves up a trio of gloriously sunny and slow motion house cuts with some top shelf remixes from Lay-Far, Scruscru and Juravlove. 'Architecture Of Happiness' opens in heart melting fashion with shuffling drums and atmospheric vocals next to leggy drums and warming bass. 'Sense Of Wonder' is another jazzy and soulful house cut with skip in the drums. 'Where Have You Gone' ups the pace but is no less loved-up before the remixes add extra funk, club beats and blissed-out deepness.

Review: Sex Tapes From Mars come back a year after their last EP with a third one on the small but well-formed label and this one is handed over to Jata. Opener Stutter '(I)' is pure funky techno and mind altering cosmic synth work for the peak time. It's a bright and vivid sound world that's as good for the head as the heel. 'Midstate' then gets more dirty with warp synth riffs and smeared chords over industrial tech beats. It's restless and kinetic and another dancefloor bomb. Last of all comes the wonky closer Stutter '(I)' which is full of trippy effects and freaky little synth motifs over squelching basslines.

Review: Here two of Situationism's compilation strands combine on one 12": 2up 2down, which focuses on high-grade deep house, and the In The Bag series of floor-friendly catalogue favourites. There's naturally plenty to get the blood pumping throughout, from the thrillingly off-kilter Afro-house rhythms of Mike Agent X Clark's 'My Journey Thru Africanism', and Javontte's sensational 2021 single 'Soul People', to the liquid jazz-funk/deep house fusion of BRS' fantastic 'A Night To Remember' - all rubbery bass guitar, huggable chords, glistening guitars, fluttering flutes and swinging beats - and the driving, gospel-influenced peak-time brilliance of Laroye's 'Best Girlfriends (Soulful Mix)'. To cite an old cliche, this genuinely is "all killer, no filler".

Review: Absolutely no prizes for guessing what the House House House label is all about. Next up in it is Jay Leklass with four rock solid and old school leaning cuts. 'The Drummer' has that archetypal dark 90s bassline and gritty drums beneath tribal percussion. 'Feel The Bass' cuts loose on more wild synths and vamping chords while the drums bring hints of garage swing. 'Sustain' then layers up leggy kick drums and raw percussive patterns with stiff chords making for a mechanical groove. Last of all 'The Vibe' has a diva vocal swirling about the mix next to Detroit styes sustained chords. A more than useful EP.

Review: Minimal stalwart Jay Tripwire has been as prolific as ever this year, serving up the Narcotic Oscillator EP for The Other Side and collaborating with Cristi Cons on Witching Hour. Now it's time for the Canadian veteran to serve up some boss level beats to emergent label VRNT, holding true to the rhythmic demands of the stripped-down tech house scene while finding plenty of space for expression and innovation in the sound design. 'The Real Life Of John Merrick' is a masterfully sculpted workout, while 'Pleiadian Wavelength' unfurls exquisite melodic and textural synth forms around an understated groove. Herck completes the package with a crunchy, bugged-out version of the lead track which harks back to the crooked computer funk synonymous with Canadian minimal in the mid 00s.

Review: Steve O'Sullivan invites a trio of artists to lay down some serious head nodding beats for 'Rhythm Method Vol.4'. Calling on one of Canada's trusted talents and solid purveyors of deep grooves Jay Tripwire leads the charge with 'Mung Bean Medley'. There's simply no messing: pushing through a taught rhythmic workout, incessant toms and metallic tones etch deep into the mood - awash with dubbed out atmospherics and crafty touches that more than a give a nod to the dark house dubs of yesteryear. On the flip, 'Hidden Sequence' inject their creative flex, demonstrating the all important art of minimalist bounce with 'Synchro'. The kind of fully swung beats and tripped out twinges that brighten the groove more often than not when 7am comes calling. The svelte bustle and soothing tones of 'Makka' from Fletcher by contrast, soothe the mind and leaves plenty of room to kick back as weary limbs take their toll: a fine tonic indeed.

He kicks off Serenity's fifth release here alongside Jehr on 'Magic Man', a deep cut underlapping drum funk and lots of whirring machine sounds. Parisian space techno talent Cyberduck then takes care of both tunes on the flip - firstly 'Arzach', a deep and dynamic cut that hurriedly scans a vast cosmic world with silvery drums and lush melodies.
