Notes: The ART SCC is the ideal compact solution allowing you to take complete control of your studio space. Three selectable stereo sources can be quickly and easily routed to any or all of three sets of stereo balanced outputs from the front panel. Sources can be individually selected or blended from the front panel. Separate trim pots ensure proper levels between sources can be preset. A large single volume knob controls the overall output level of the system.

A separate cue source input with its own outputs and level control allows a separate headphone mix to run in parallel to the main mix. The headphone output can easily switch between the cue source and the main input source with the touch of a single button on the front panel.

Additional controls on the SCC include a master mute switch, and a mono switch allowing you to sum the stereo inputs to mono to check phase in any mix.

In a typical studio setup, one set of inputs on the SCC would connect to the main output of your DAW workstation or computer audio card. Secondary outputs or headphone output would be connected to the SCC's Cue Mix input allowing for a second, completely separate headphone mix. Other sources (keyboard, iPod, analog sub mixer etc) can connect to the additional stereo inputs.

Outputs would be connected to nearfield and midfield monitors or monitors and subwoofer. Multiple inputs and outputs can be used at the same time.

Notes: This compact switcher box allows connection of up to three stereo sound sources, to one amplifier.

The sources can then be selected via the push buttons on the front of the box. Ideal for multiple sound sources such as DVD, tuner, video player etc.

Voltage Controlled Amplifiers:
While MONITOR2USB's Volume control is mechanically similar to an analog control, its use of Voltage Controlled Amplifiers (VCA) provides several major benefits. First, since a DC current flows through the volume control (instead of the audio signal) there is no degradation in sound quality, and none of the pops and crackles typically produced by an audio-taper volume control. That current is what actually controls the levels of the separate left and right amplifiers. Second, both the left and right channels remain proportionately accurate to their input levels. Third, better left/right channel separation is maintained, because there are no audio signals present at the volume control. And finally, you get amazingly precise and repeatable level settings you can count on.

Sometimes Bigger is Better:
Small knobs make for low precision. Conversely, the bigger the knob is, the higher the precision. Think of a control knob as a circle. On a small circle/knob the distance from one degree to the next is very small, making it difficult to dial-in perfection. On our really big knob, the distance between degrees of the circle is much larger, allowing you to make high-precision adjustments with ease. The MONITOR2USB lets you set levels fast and accurately, which is of utmost importance when it comes to your mastering projects.

"Fully passive" means that there are no active components involved, that could in any way alter the audio signal - keeping the maximum sound quality level for your studio monitors. MoCo provides two separate stereo inputs (one with balanced 1/4" TRS connectors, one with both unbalanced RCA and unbalanced 1/8" TRS connectors) and two separate stereo outputs (one with balanced XLR connectors, one with balanced / unbalanced 1/4" TRS plus unbalanced 1/8" TRS connectors). MoCo does not change your signals from unbalanced to balanced: what goes in, goes out!

Via one switch you can select the input signal and with separate buttons, each output can be enabled. Also there is a switch that changes the monitor signal to mono and you can mute the playback audio signal quickly at the touch of a button. A quick swap of the left and right audio signal channels is also possible. And of course, the stylish big knob in the center of MoCo controls the actual playback volume.

Notes: With a Fostex PC-1e(B), you can remotely control the volume of both left and right speakers which makes it a great addition for music and video playback on a PC. It is compact for desktop use.

The passive type Fostex PC-1e(B) volume controller features a robust metal chassis and machined aluminum knob. It does not need a battery to power. It also comes with a stereo mini cable (80cm) and 2 RCA pin cable (100cm).

Notes: With a Fostex PC-1e(W), you can remotely control the volume of both left and right speakers which makes it a great addition for music and video playback on a PC. It is compact for desktop use.

The passive type PC-1e(W) volume controller features a robust metal chassis and machined aluminum knob. It does not need battery to power. It also comes with a stereo mini cable (80cm) and 2 RCA pin cable (100cm).

Notes: The Genelec 9000A Stereo Volume Controller provides convenient volume control for all Genelec studio monitors and active speakers.
The volume control input and output have 3.5 mm stereo male and female connectors providing immediate connectivity with most computers and laptops, MP3 players and game stations. The 9000A is available in two colours: Black and White.

A converter cable converting 2 x RCA to 3.5 mm stereo (female) is needed for audio equipment with RCA outputs. A converter cable converting 3.5 mm stereo (male) to 2 x XLR (male) is needed to use 9000A Stereo Volume Control with Genelec monitor loudspeakers having XLR input. These cables can be obtained from an authorized Genelec dealer.

The connecting cable on 9000A is Y-shaped. After 1 meter (3 ft 3") from the control knob the single cable splits into two 1 meter (3 ft 3") cables, one for audio input, one for audio output.

Compact 2 Channel Passive Volume Controller:

Notes: You mostly monitor on near-fields, but occasionally switch to big main speakers or a second set of near-fields. You need to be able to switch between multiple sources and want to hear what your mix sounds like with and without subwoofer. You want to monitor straight from digital sources as well as analog.
