Converts analog trigger clock signals to MIDI clock signals & vice versa
Notes: The Audiowerkstatt trigger2midi2trigger v2 has all functions of the classic version 1, but comes in a powder-coated steel-enclosure and stores its settings.

If used as trigger-clock-to-MIDI-clock-converter or MIDI-clock-to-trigger-clock-converter, there is always a MIDI-clock-signal (incl. start/stop) sent at the "midi out"-jack. At the tip of the "clock"-phone-jack, an analog trigger-clock-signal (v-trigger: 0v/5v, s-trigger "open"/"closed") is sent. The tip of the "start/stop"-phone-jack is 5v while the masterclock is running and 0v while the masterclock is paused for v-trigger and "closed" while the masterclock is running and "open" while the masterclock is paused, if s-trigger is used.

A clock-source can be connected to the "midi in"-jack or to the ring of the "clock"- and "start/stop"-phone-jack.

Normal insert-cables can be used to connect the analog inputs/outputs. If only the analog outputs are used, normal phone-jack-cables (mono or stereo) can be used.

The following parameters can be adjusted:

1. Clock-source (MIDI-clock or analog trigger-clock).
2. Trigger-type of the analog input (s-trigger or v-trigger).
3. Trigger-type of the analog output (s-trigger or v-trigger).
4. Clock-divider of the incoming analog trigger-clock (1/4, 1/8. 1/16 or 1/32).
5. Clock-divider of the outgoing analog trigger-clock (1/4, 1/8. 1/16 or 1/32).
6. Pulse-length of the outgoing analog trigger-clock (adjustable in 6 steps, the pulse-length is calculated dependent on clock-divider and clock-frequency).

In addition to the clock-signal, start-/stop-signals from the masterclock are detected and processed, but it is also possible to send start-/stop-signals manual.

The settings for the analog output (trigger.type out, clock.divider out and pulse.length) can be changed without losing synchronisation, while the masterclock is running.

The Audiowerkstatt trigger2midi2trigger v2 can also be used as a tool for analog-trigger-signals, if it isn't used as a converter.

The following uses are possible:

a) "S-trigger" to "V-trigger" converter
b) "V-trigger" to "S-trigger" converter
c) Analog clock-divider
d) Analog clock-multiplier
e) Gate to trigger converter
f) Trigger to gate converter with adjustable gate-length

MIDI to MIDI clock/DIN sync/CR-78 clock & and Analog clock converter
Notes: The Swynx is a sync box that converts incoming MIDI messages to MIDI clock, DIN sync, CR-78 clock, and Analog clocks. In addition, the Swynx provides the ability to swing the timing of all these clock outputs and select different time signatures in real-time with the front panel controls, and can also act as a CR-78 pattern programmer.

After you try it in your setup, you will realize just what you've been missing.

For instance, many DIN sync devices do not provide a built-in swing function. And many MIDI sequencers and drum machines suffer from poor implementation of swing, preventing changes to be made live, or only providing swing for 4/4 patterns.

Quite a few MIDI sequencers don't offer any swing function, including our own 777 and Mobius products. Now you can apply swing to any MIDI sequencer, and select new time signatures as well

Need to sync your analog sequencer or arpeggiator with MIDI gear? No problem! Not only can you do so, but now you can swing the timing of those devices as well. You can even use the analog clock output to Gate the envelopes in a synthesizer. The clock duty cycle is 50% of a note duration.

If you are a Roland CR-78 owner, you may have realized finding a WS-1 or TS-1 to program the CR-78 is next to impossible. The Swynx can replicate the programming capabilities of these units, plus provide sync to MIDI, and realtime swing adjustment. The ability to add swing to the CR-78's preset patterns alone will breathe new life into this old friend.

The Swing value is accurate to 0.5% providing much more control resolution than is typically found in sequencers and drum machines.

The Swynx provides 12 different time signatures to choose from. Some time signatures are duplicate, but provide different shuffle patterns for that time signature. Time signatures include 9/8, 7/8, 6/8, 5/8, 2/4, 4/4, 8/4, 3/4, and 6/4.

A universal power supply is provided with each unit, allowing the Swynx to be used anywhere in the world.

The Event Processor Plus is programmed by sending it MIDI System Exclusive messages (see FAQs - Programming). This is easily done with the Event Processor Plus Programming Tools software. Once programmed, the Event Processor Plus's settings are retained even after power is removed. The Event Processor Plus can be reprogrammed with new settings as often as needed.

The Event Processor Plus is MIDI-powered, and requires no batteries or power supply to operate with most MIDI products (see FAQs - Power and FAQs - LED for more information). A MIDI indicator LED lights up when the product is powered and flashes when MIDI data passes through it.
