This adapter is simply a 2-in-1 connection of our EX2M and FS2M adapters. If you need both of these functions, you no longer need to buy two separate adapters.
The adapter is intended for use with existing expression pedals, footswitches and sustain pedals.
A conveniently placed pedal with MIDI functionality may be the missing element in your live performances, because it's the guitar or keyboard that's the most important thing in your hands!

For DJs - DJ icon

This adapter will bring your computer and your real-world signal path together. This little box takes the expression and footswitch pedal outputs and converts them to MIDI. Next, the MIDI is transferred to your DAW via a Micro-USB output.

Use this adapter with an ordinary sustain pedal. We know that playing without a sustain pedal is just not the same thing, and there are situations when you can't connect the pedal to your keyboard or other instruments. With this adapter, thanks to MIDI, you will be able to incorporate the effect into your playing.

Simply connect a standard expression pedal, sustain pedal or footswitch (1-button and 2-buttons) to the adapter and to the USB port and it will be recognised as a MIDI device.

Wireless Bluetooth BLE MIDI for all operating systems

WIDIFLEX USB adds Bluetooth MIDI with an ultra-low latency of 3ms and advanced jitter optimization to all major operating systems. In combination with WIDIFLEX you can then create a wireless hi-performance MIDI setup for studio or stage, featuring twice the speed and four times the range (20 meters / 65 feet) of earlier Bluetooth versions. On MacOS you can of course use the integrated Bluetooth functionality, but by adding WIDIFLEX USB you will reduce the operating system's minimum latency from 7.5 ms down to 3 ms.

WIDIFLEX USB has advanced wireless connectivity for Auto-Pairing with WIDIFLEX. Pairing other devices is equally easy when you use the WIDI app for iOS and Android (free download in the app stores). If you use WIDIFLEX to connect your MIDI devices, simply plug them into their MIDI sockets and they will auto-connect to WIDIFLEX USB by default. This also works with BLE MIDI devices, eg. a Keytar. To set up, edit and manage those connections, you can use the free WIDI app for iOS and Android.

About WIDI
The current WIDI products are Bluetooth 5 compatible and comply with the specification for MIDI over Bluetooth by the MMA. The specification for MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE-MIDI) is based on Apple's implementation (released in iOS 8 and OS X 10.10), so that products from early adopters remain compatible with the industry standard.

WIDI includes a collection of smart algorithms like Adaptive Frequency Hopping to always optimize the performance by selecting the best performing frequency at a given distance between devices. With only 3 ms, the latency between connected WIDI products is extremely low: MIDI only transmits data at a standard speed 31.25 kbit per second via cable - and WIDI products using Bluetooth 5 go up to 400 kb/sec.

WIDI products are 100% MIDI compatible and transmit all MIDI messages over Bluetooth, including MIDI clock, long SysEX and MPE. They provide full bidirectional transmission and reception with dual role automation as both, central and peripheral.

Notes: The RK-002 'Smart MIDI cable' has already found it's way in various setups. It looks like a +/-1.5m ordinary male-male MIDI-cable but has a microprocessor on board which 'bends' or even generates MIDI data on the fly. You can order it pre-installed for the Volca Sample, Kaossilator, Arpeggiator, Digitakt (/MOD), firmwares so you can get started right away. If you decide to use it differently later on: You can switch firmwares as well (or even compile your own MIDI Processor!).

Firmware flavours available for the Volca FM, Volca Sample or even an Arpeggiator; Applicable for a wide range of synths which lack this functionality.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is not wise to use multiple midi-powered devices on one output. You should use a thru box and not an audio splitter or such.

So devices like the MIDI Solutions Quadra thru which harvest power from the MIDI bus themselves are not advisable to use with the RK-002. On occasion it seems this box can even leave the RK-002 in an unuseable boot mode.
