The Impulse filter with custom mould has a constant noise SNR value of 15dB (estimated), suitable for continuous safe use to 100dB.

ANSI IPIL certified impulse protection is 33.1 dB maximum.

DIYPlugz will reduce sound by a CE certified 24dB, bringing the noise down to safe levels. The DIY filters provide an open-air passage to the ear, minimizing occlusion* effect whilst keeping the ear ventilated for optimum comfort and reducing irritation.

*Occlusion is caused by sound carried to your ears through bone or cartilage conduction, normally this is unheard and escapes through the open ear but if your ear is blocked by an earplug the sound becomes trapped and a booming low frequency effect will occur causing an uncomfortable sensation.

Notes: The ProGuard Noizezz Universal earplugs are low profile with an innovative design conforming to EN 352-2. Offering 4 levels of attenuation; when fitted correctly they are almost impossible to see. The Noizezz's unique filter preserves speech intelligibility, music and essential warning alerts can still be heard. Providing a safe acoustic environment and essentially ultimate protection that will prevent hearing loss, tinnitus and other problems associated with exposure to high noise levels. Each set comes with micro-finned, curved soft silicon eartips designed to match the contours of the ear canal. The eartips are available in S, M, L and XL making them simple to insert and comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

The ProGuard Noizezz Universal purple filter SNR 17 dB gives a lower level of hearing protection. Noizzez can be used when flying to help relieve cabin pressure and aid sleep. They are perfect when music or general sound levels are higher than expected. Sound will be reduced but not blocked allowing comfortable listening.

Notes: Shooterplugz will give the user maximum hearing protection from high impact noise peaks associated with guns. Developed originally for military and police use, they come as standard fitted with a highly specified passive impulse filter (ANSI IPIL certified up to 166 dB). Which will allow instructions, conversations and alerts to be heard but clamping sound peaks instantly to reduce the possibility of hearing damage yet retaining the user's spatial awareness: essential in hunting and combat situations.

The filter also allows air to circulate within the ear canal for all day comfort, having undergone full environmental testing in extreme conditions. A detachable elasticated lanyard cord is also included. The filter can be simply removed and replaced to enable the eartips to be cleaned in warm soapy water for hygiene purposes. The ShooterPlugz filters can be fitted to custom moulds for extra added comfort if required.
