Eukahouse Vaults 01
Eukahouse Vaults 01 (12" limited to 300 copies)
Cat: ENDELLST 01. Rel: 13 May 24
Housey Doingz - "Kitchen Spasm" (Nathan Coles unreleased Eukahouse mix)
Soggy Plop - "Hairy Scary" (Get Fucked remix)
Flunky - "Love Song"
Review: Any discerning deep house heads will be familiar with Yossi Amoyal's work as the head of the cultured Sushitech label, and now he steps out with a new imprint, Endell Street, alongside co-founder Nils Hess. This one is named after a busy thoroughfare in the heart of London that was home to the Eukatech record store and will be focussed on reissues of work from the Eukahouse archives. First up we some prime tech house from genre pioneer Nathan Coles who serves up a kicking and unreleased mix of the Housey Doingz classic 'Kitchen Spasm'. Then comes a garage-tinged bumper in the form of Soggy Plop's 'Hairy Scary' (Get Fucked remix) and last of all, Flunky's 'Love Song' brings low-slung sleaze.

Who You Are
Cat: TMP 001. Rel: 27 Mar 24
Who You Are (6:57)
Who You Are (Prins Thomas remix) (6:31)
Wait For Love (6:06)
The Tetrah (8:40)
Review: Temple Musiq kicks off with a new EP from label head Temple. The opener 'Who You Are' has already achieved anthem status thanks to getting plenty of plays during Temple's own sets while he has opened for the likes of Rick Wilhite, Osunlande and Trus'me. It's got a nice drum machine drive, subtle acid lines and hooky choruses. The Prins Thomas remix is as you would expect a little more suspensory and cosmic, while Temple's 'Wait For Love' brings you back down to the dancefloor with a taught, twisted, tech house rawness that is offset by a sultry sax line. 'The Tetrah' then winds down with more elastic and dubbed-out, slow-motion house sounds.

All Hands Vol 1
Cat: RS 019. Rel: 27 Mar 24
Frits Wentink - "Jellyfish" (6:55)
DJ Aakmael - "Track 117" (7:08)
Joe Babylon - "Hopp" (5:40)
Rick Wilhite & Jon Easley - "Jada's Pain" (6:23)
Review: Joe Babylon's cultured US label Roundabout Sounds has never rushed music out but when it does serve up new material it is always timeless and top quality. This latest EP is the first installment in the new All Hands series and it features some real house heavyweights. Frits Wentink kicks off with the mystic and lo-fi depths of 'Jellyfish, then DJ Aakmael layers up his soft edge chords and cuddly kicks drums with some muted horn motifs that bring the romance. The label head brings some upright drums and spoken word lyrics for a beautifully warm sound and last of all Detroit royalty Rick Wilhite links with Jon Easley for a final blissed-out and breezy deep house day dream.

Review: The Milano Undiscovered series has been expertly overseen by Fred Ventura and now clocks up a third installment. It again delves into Milan's dynamic techno and house scene between the years of 1988 and 1992. Unveiling a trove of unreleased demos, it highlights the city's burgeoning underground culture during this period. Influenced by the pioneering sounds of Chicago, Detroit, London, and Sheffield, Milanese producers embarked on a creative journey, crafting their own distinct interpretations of electronic dance music. These demos offer a glimpse into the innovative spirit and diverse sonic landscape that defined Milan's contribution to the global dance music scene during this transformative era.

What Is A DJ?
Cat: CMR 007. Rel: 01 Jul 24
What Is A DJ?
Arroios
Tonic Glue
That's All
Review: Bogdan Ra is based in the musical hotbed of Lisbon and his excellent What Is A DJ? EP takes its inspiration from the late 80s acid house and Italo, displaying a real mix of vintage charm and contemporary relevance that will strike all the right notes on the dancefloor. From the snappy title cut to the electro rhythms of 'Arroios' via the funky disco rhythms of 'Tonic Glue' and feel good factor of closer 'That's All', this is quality production that will more than stand the test of time

SPIL CUTS 001 (feat Zed Bias, Jeremy Sylvester mixes)
Cat: SPILCUTS 001. Rel: 01 Jul 24
Jack Swift - "Perfection"
Jack Swift - "Perfection" (Zed Bias 25 Years Deep remix)
Jack Swift - "That’s It Mate" (Jeremy Sylvester Vintage Rub)
Scott Diaz - "SPIL The Beanz"
Review: SPIL Records makes its debut in the world of vinyl with a new 12" featuring fresh sounds from label head Jack Swift and one from Scott Diaz while remixes are taken care of by a pair of UK legends in Zed Bias and Jeremy Sylvester. Swift's 'Perception' opens up with some well swung and dusty garage-house beats and a nice warped bassline. It's then over to Bias for his 25 Years Deep Remix which brings some prickly 2-step vibes. On the B-side, Swift's 'That's It Mate' gets a Vintage Rerun from Jeremy Sylvester that is pure vibes and last of all, Diaz's 'SPIL The Beanz' is a fourth and final floor-filling garage house classic.
