Review: Destiny Angel a magical track way ahead of its time. Now out again with a new master sounding more deeper than before, full of Drums , bass and high frequency evolving Chords. Fast and heavy. b1 Bleeps and Bits is a bass driven groove with shuffling house beats morphing along to electric sounds and effects b2 Just Tonight - Raw deep stripped down Beats and baseline with a a gentle vocal for those big sound systems . Review: Like Delsin label mates Conforce and Claro Intelecto, veteran producer John Beltran seems incapable of producing duff albums. "Hallo Androiden", his first full length outing for two years, is another wonderfully atmospheric, melodic and emotive set that recalls the producer's impeccable 1990s output. The nine tracks are as lushly produced as you'd expect, with Beltran effortlessly drifting between eyes-closed ambient techno, lilting electronica, slowly shifting sunset soundscapes and the kind of grandiose, life affirming ambient compositions that have long been a feature of the veteran producer's work. As with much of his output, there are enough intricate details and emotion-stirring motifs to suggest that the album will sound just as good on the 50th listen as it does the first.
Review: Ben Sims' Hardgroove label opens its 2019 account with a four track EP comprised of cuts from the Londoner's recent 'Tribology' mix-comp. M-Plant artist and UK techno don Mark Broom features alongside Clone's Cadans with Italian emerging talent Marco Bruno and Hardgroove alumni Avision serve up hefty, peak time workouts.
Review: On the A1 Chekov follows up their moves on Peach Discs and Timedance with a proper peak timer, they've been described by Ben UFO as 'king of the build up' and that's evident on this one. At the A2 London's Doppelate makes their Cong Burn debut with an elegant tech-house roller. Fresh from Russia's underground is Camin, on this, his debut 12" release he drops a useful tool which squeezes between electro and techno. Cong Burn founder Howes closes the B side with some warm hypnosis that could have landed in the golden era of Workshop.
Review: Mike 'Agent X' Clark is a true hero of the Detroit scene, but he rarely gets the props he deserves, making any outing of his a cause for celebration. El Provost's No Speakers label knows what's up, and they've drafted in Clark for his killer jam "The Heat." The name is no foil, this track will set any party ablaze with its distinctive speech sample and saucy rhythm section. Alongside the original, there is a strong cast of remixers on hand to serve up deadly variations, from the label boss' skipping, psyched-out groover to Ben Sims' appropriately thumping techno workout. Peter Rocket especially impresses with a crafty breaks version that should slot in nicely with the resurgent electro scene.
Review: Cardiff based DJ and producer Guy Evans has been producing music since 1992, although it was only in 2014 that he had his first vinyl release on the Glasgow based label ALL CAPS.
Since then, he has released both new and archived material on labels such as ORGANIC ANALOGUE, CEJERO, CRISIS URBANA, EXOTIC ROBOTICS and many others. This EP marks the first release on his own label 'OTHER WORLD MUSIC' and features 5 tracks created recently by the producer which cover a broad range of styles, from Detroit house, downtempo ambient to futuristic sci-fi breakbeats. Some of the tracks on the EP have already gained airplay on stations such as NTS Radio and we look forward to hearing more releases from the label in the future.

Review: For their 9th offering, ae Recordings have a various artists release. What all these artists have in common is that they have undoubtedly been leading figures within the local scene for the last 25 years.
A-side features a long lost remix which Thor made for GusGus back in 2002. There has been loud demand for this one to appear on vinyl, so the waiting is now no more. Its a balearic, tasteful and will certainly be a regular in the DJ bags this season. The B-side starts with a minimalistic and dubby anthem from Thor. A solid composition as expected from the label honcho himself. A timeless dub techno remix from Sanasol of the Icelandic electronica wizard Biogen completes this 12" - a track that first saw release back in 1997.
ae Recordings, the infamous sublabel of Thule Records, has been a hub for techno talents in Iceland since 1999. The label was, and still is, known for bringing in fresh winds into the scene and this release doesn't stray away from the concept at all; although this time we're offering a delicious slice from the older times.
Review: The sixth installment on Malin Genie's self-titled label welcomes Will & Ink resident Yaleesa Hall into the fold. Regular collaborators Malin and Yaleesa have turned out plenty of joint 12"s in the past on Will & Ink and this very label, and they sound more comfortable and sonically aligned than ever on this mighty record. There's no messing with "Alpha Decay," a loose and lysergic dubby techno workout. "Tachyon" orbits a similar soundworld, but shears the fat away for a minimal palette that sounds powerful echoing around the ample space in the mix. "Muck" slips into freaky after hours house territory, and "Stocha" drops a massive Basic Channel dub techno chord around a whisper of a beat to devastating effect.
Review: Or:la launches new label Cead with an EP from the Utrecht based producer and DJ Lewski. Drawing on his ability to mesh a mixture of house, techno and clattering electro, 'Mariachi Guadalajara' is a fast paced dexterous work which melds vigorous percussion and spacey synth lines.

Certainly a maturation in sound, this manifesto offers up 4 distinct meditations on the continuum of electronic sound from the early 90s through to the present day and beyond...
Review: Lock up your 303s, Roy Of The Ravers is back with a brand spanking new album and it's quite possibly his strongest and wrongest to date! Following a limited run cassette version of the album, Who Are Ya lands on gatefold vinyl and spans 10 tracks and nearly 60 minutes of top quality turns, which sees our star player's BPM rising up into tougher, more hardcore-esque territory (Supremacy Acid, Roy Shat Over Ref) Who Are Ya also takes in some seriously smoked-out, slow-mo squelchers (Phaelon Acid 4, The Box) essentially making it a game of 2 halves (no mid tempo tracks allowed - ok??!) Through-out all of the album's giddy twists and turns however, it's Roy's trademark 303 constantly on the boil that crowns him man of the match, as he dribbles it skilfully from in and out of the mix, making him top of the league for acid once again. Hoorar!!
Review: Silent Season is proud to present Segue's third full-length LP with the label. On his new album, Jordan Sauer explores a new facet of West Canadian natural history. Four thousand years ago, Western Canada's First Nations people migrated into the fjords and rainforests carved out by the retreating glaciation of the last Ice Age. The Island is a tribute to Canada's prehistory and the spiritual journey of a people entering a forever- altered landscape to call their home.
While Segue's last album very much explored a cross section journey of British Columbia from the mountains to the sea, The Island explores the hidden coastlines and inlets that pepper a still- mysterious landscape.
Throughout the album, each song spreads out beautifully as a reflection of the place or thing it's named after and paints a stunning portrait of BC's natural wealth. At first glance it seems like a tourist's guide, but when you listen deeper, The Island blossoms into something deeply personal and moving- a sonic imprint of places in relation to culture. One listen will put you right in the rainforests and mountains that the Coast Salish has called their home.
Review: Receptor Theory is the seventh release on Verdant Recordings and the first of several scheduled for 2019. Once again we find carefully selected compositions assimilated into another elegant EP of guaranteed deepness. The EP sets tracks from Berlin's Sirko Muller (Tokomak / Wandering) with Ornate Music's Jonno & Tommo on each side plus serious remixes from Verdant favourites RV800 and Havantepe (last seen together on the 2017 Aura EP). It is measure of the label's growing rep that these producers sought to be featured by the label away from their established imprints. The original Affinity and Efficacy tracks are assured yet subtle, dub inflected grooves but each are treated quite radically when reinterpreted. The RV800 reshape of Affinity moulds it into peak time tech house territory with a playful 303 bassline. Havantepe changes up Efficacy with devastating effect; the remix is a sinister breakbeat slow burn with a creeping & growling 303 bassline and a very strong conclusion to this intriguing EP. An EP for students of the deep and scientists of the mind.
