Here's are my top 26 releases from 2015
I know 26 is an odd number, but 26 is apparently the limit for a Juno chart. Given an unlimited list i reckon this list could easily been three times as long and still be made entirely of records that you almost definitely should own, so i narrowed it down to 26 records that you definitely definitely definitely MUST own, for dreaming, for screaming, and most definitely for dancing.
From Cottam's spiritual rallying cry 'Facing It Head On' (which had everyone in pieces at the end of the last Puwaba of summer) through the 100 percent FUN 'Party Rock', the wobbly ridiculousness of Mongo Fett's 'Pogo', the to die-in classic sweetness and groove of Merle's mimilikes2dance, Luminodisco's secret classic 'Oh Mary', and all the way down to Eji Oyewole's spirited 'Charity Begins At Home', even including my own first new record for aaaaaaaages, these records are all pretty much classics.
What an utterly fantastic year for music. Seriously looking forward to 2016 - it's going to be even better, you excited yet? You should be.
