30 BEST FUNKY 45S OF THE YEAR 2018!

Salute from St.Petersburg, Russia!

This year we released 8 45s by our heros and friends!

2018 started with 2 7"s by Andy Cooper of Ugly Duckling! We were super-happy to pick 4 inspiring songs from his "Action!" album to issue on 7"! Thank you Andy!

Next 2 were couple of 45s by The Stance Brothers - we became a big fans since their debut album in 2008. It was so good to get the permission to release 4 tunes and make them accessible for 45 heads!

2 more were in may:
London-based Greg Foat Group, whose album was released in 2010. "Bright Is The Sun" was on repeat! So we decide to license this tune for 7" release! It was a long way, but finally Greg allowed us to release it! Many thanks Greg! And thanks for the title of the album - book is exciting!

Same time we released a 7" by mysterious soviet composer! There were few unusual persons at our first 7" presentation in 2015. They came to see The Soul Surfers - later we found out they are diggers of soviet fashion & music instruments. They found the archive of siberian musician Zinoviy Birtman & offer us few of his tunes for vinyl-release. It was first russian porn-soundtrack we ever heard and it was groovy!

And this autumn we released 2 more 45s!
One by The Soul Surfers and ther good old friend & teacher Shawn Lee. It was hard to pick what to release because guys recorded so much good material! But we did it!

And the last one for this year is a 7" by our heros Scone Cash Players. All the members of the band work with The Dap-Kings and you know it means a lot! We are so happy to be a part of it! Many thanks to Adam Scone for his trust nad patience!
