Boss RC-505MKII Loop Station
Boss RC-505MKII Loop Station (desktop loop station)
Cat: 858659 Rel: 29 Mar 22

The industry-standard tabletop looper, updated and enhanced.
Notes: Second-generation version of Boss's excellent looper gives you five stereo tracks, four simultaneous effects, hands-on control and full MIDI support. Ideal for live use but also a creative studio tool.

Supplier's Notes:
Looping Magic at Your Fingertips

Packed with inspiring tools for on-the-spot music creation, the RC-505mkII brings next-generation power and flexibility to the world's most popular tabletop looper. Elevate your performances with five stereo tracks and four simultaneous Input FX and Track FX, and soar even further with customizable buttons, expanded I/O, increased mixing control, and other enhancements requested by long-time RC-505 users. Built for free-flowing expression on stage and in the studio, the RC-505mkII is a dream machine for beatboxers, vocalists, multi-instrumentalists, and other fearless looping artists.

More to Love

The RC-505mkII retains everything that made the original so loved and adds a wealth of new features to make the looping experience even more creative and free flowing. The faders provide longer throw for finer adjustments, and they also have a more solid feel under the fingers. And each track now has dedicated FX and Track buttons, making it easier to colour and control your loops in the heat of the moment. Undo/redo has also been enhanced with a Mark Back function that lets you instantly jump back to a previous loop state while performing.

Customize Your Workflow

While the original RC-505 was very customizable, the RC-505mkII takes things to the next level with a vast range of user-configurable controls. You can assign various CTL parameters to the FX and Track buttons and trigger them with a press, hold, or double-click. Pressing the Undo/Redo button reveals a secondary layer, doubling your options. Two external control jacks are also available for connecting footswitches or expression pedals, and each has its own dedicated set of parameters. Crave even more? Then tap into the Assign screens to set up 16 different targets for hardware control and MIDI operation.

More Sonic Colours for Inspired Looping

Sonic variations help make loop performances more compelling, and the RC-505mkII provides a greatly expanded FX palette to colour your sounds during recording and playback. There are 49 Input FX and 53 Track FX types to choose from-including powerful new vocal harmony effects-and you can use up to four in each section at once. Going further, groups of four Input FX and Track FX can be stored in four banks for quick recall, along with toggle or momentary button settings for each type. A step sequence function is also available in some FX to automate parameter changes for dynamic real-time movement.

Boss OD-200 Hybrid Drive Effects Pedal
Boss OD-200 Hybrid Drive Effects Pedal (distortion effects pedal)
Cat: 996875 Rel: 18 Mar 24

Hybrid drive effects pedal
Notes: Simply sophisticated

With the 200 series, BOSS introduces a new generation of pedals that pack advanced sound and versatility into a streamlined size that saves space on your board. Grab-and-go controls and multi-function switches make operation easy and intuitive, while onboard memories allow you to store multiple setups for instant recall. All 200 series pedals feature premium audio quality with 32-bit internal processing and offer support for external control via footswitches, an expression pedal, or MIDI.

The OD-200 Hybrid Drive brings next-level sound, feel, and flexibility to overdrive and distortion, combining decades of BOSS tone expertise with innovative technologies. Powered by hybrid analogue/digital circuitry, this dream pedal delivers any drive tone you can imagine via 12 primary modes, 15 boost types, series/parallel gain paths, and more. There's even an advanced gate on board, ideal for both eliminating noise and adding tightness to high-gain drive tones.

Version 1.1 Update: User Memory Expansion

The free Version 1.1 software update brings increased flexibility to the BOSS 200 series, greatly expanding the onboard memory capacity for storing and recalling sounds. There are now 128 user setups available. Setups can also be recalled directly via MIDI program change.

For optimal performance, stay up to date with the current OD-200 system software

Premium Drive Tones with BOSS's Advanced Hybrid Design

The OD-200's next-generation hybrid design seamlessly brings analogue and digital clipping circuits together for the best of all worlds, putting a universe of expressive drive colours under your fingers. Twelve modes offer a variety of premium overdrive, fuzz, and distortion sounds, including a high-gain Brown mode derived from the acclaimed Katana amplifier series. And with the three high-performance "X" drive modes powered by BOSS's cutting-edge MDP tech, you'll experience enhanced definition, clarity, and dynamic response that's perfect for modern playing styles.

Powerful Gain Shaping with Series and Parallel Boosts

While each of the OD-200's 12 main drive modes sound fantastic on their own, you're able to craft tones even further with 15 switchable boost circuits. Placing the boost in series lets you create traditional stacked drive voices, complete with post-gain level to balance with the bypassed sound or kick up the volume for solos. The boost circuit can also be used in parallel with the main mode, enabling side-by-side blending for an unlimited range of unique drive textures.

Kill the Noise and Tighten Your Tone

With its integrated gate circuit, the OD-200 always keeps your signal clear and quiet when you're not playing. The default setting is a great starting point, providing gentle, transparent gating that works well for general playing styles. The decay and threshold controls can also be adjusted for super-fast gate performance when needed, perfect for bringing tightness to heavy modern styles that combine full-throttle gain with precision staccato riffing.

Dial in Sounds Fast

The OD-200 offers a ton of advanced capabilities, but remains as simple to use as any regular distortion stomp. With dedicated controls, you can quickly dial in the gain and overall level for any selected mode, then sculpt the tone with wide-ranging low, mid, and high EQ. There's also a multi-function parameter knob, which changes operation based on the group selected with the panel's parameter switch and LED status indicators.

Save and Recall Your Favourite Setups

The OD-200 features 127 user memories plus a real-time panel setting, giving you 128 total setups to choose from. Any range of consecutive memories and the panel setting can be assigned for scrolling access from a footswitch. It's also possible to limit the scrolling range or assign memories directly for even faster recall.

BOSS SL-2 Slicer Effects Pedal
BOSS SL-2 Slicer Effects Pedal (modulation effects pedal)
Cat: 996671 Rel: 16 Feb 24

Slicer effects pedal
Notes: Fresh-Sliced Inspiration

Envelop your music in vibrant rhythmic energy with the SL-2 Slicer, an inspiring creative tool filled with colourful sonic grooves. This BOSS original chops your sound into unique percussive patterns-including many processed with internal filters and effects-and provides multiple output options that bring grooves to life across the stereo field.

Evolved from the legacy SL-20 Slicer, the SL-2 offers expanded capabilities while shrinking the size to the pedalboard-friendly BOSS compact format. Instantly elevate performances with 88 onboard patterns and tap into more via the BOSS Tone Studio app. Grab the knobs to tweak audio slices on the fly and sync to songs with tap tempo and MIDI. Fun and easy to use, the SL-2 brings fresh musical power to all types of creators, from guitarists and keyboardists to loop performers, DJs, beatmakers, and beyond.

Compact Audio Adrenaline

The SL-2 brings massive sonic groove muscle to the compact pedal format. Modern DSP takes the BOSS Slicer engine further than ever before, delivering rich, animated sounds via single and dual paths chained with multiple internal effects. Eight pattern types-each with 11 variations-will keep you armed with creative firepower for a long time. When you're ready for more, connect to BOSS Tone Studio over USB to audition and load alternate patterns into the pedal and organize memory setups for different songs.

Pre-Loaded Pattern Types:

Single (1 and 2)-Rhythmic patterns that use a single Slicer effect.
Dual (3 and 4)-Rhythmic patterns that use two Slicer effects.
Tremolo (5)-Patterns with a traditional tremolo effect.
Harmonic (6)-Rhythmic patterns with pitch-shifting effects.
SFX (7 and 8)-Rhythmic patterns with different effects applied.

Shape Your Groove

With the SL-2's efficient interface, you can dial in sophisticated textures in seconds. Use the Attack control to shape the edge of the waveform for everything from hard-chopped slices to soft, fluttering movements. Then tweak the waveform's length with the Duty control, going from sharp, percussive transients to longer, fuller audio blocks. Adjust the tempo with the dedicated knob or hold the pedal switch to engage tap tempo mode for hands-free control. And with the Balance knob and +/-12 dB of output level adjustment, you always have complete control of the mix.

Set the Stage

The SL-2 dishes up loads of impressive sounds with a standard mono setup. But things get even better when using the two outputs and seven different output modes. Send direct and effect sounds to different destinations for recording and performance. Or surround yourself and listeners in animated movement using a variety of stereo and 3D processing options. You can also feed the SL-2 with your favourite stereo pedals to bring further magic to your grooves.

Stereo Output Modes:

Fixed (Default)-Sends the same direct/effect mix to both outputs.
EFX/Direct-Sends the effect sound to Output A and the direct sound to Output B.
Random-A stereo effect that randomly outputs the Slicer sound to the left, right, or center.
Ping-Pong-A stereo effect that alternately sends the Slicer sound to Output A or Output B.
Auto-A stereo effect that smoothly pans the Slicer sound between Output A and Output B.
3D Cross-Advanced spatial processing moves the Slicer sound in left/right and forward/back patterns in 3D space.
3D Rotation-Advanced spatial processing rotates the Slicer sound in 3D space.

Expand Your Creative Flow

With its generous external control options, the SL-2 flows with your creative needs. Plug in an external footswitch to instantly tap in the tempo or engage the effect with momentary presses. Or connect an expression pedal to control knob parameters or the overall level as you perform. With the TRS MIDI input, you can sync your SL-2 grooves to a drum machine, DAW, or any other device that sends MIDI clock. It's also possible to control expression, tempo, and bypass functions via MIDI CC messages.

BOSS CP-1X Compressor Effects Pedal
BOSS CP-1X Compressor Effects Pedal (dynamics effects pedal)
Cat: 996672 Rel: 16 Feb 24

Compressor effects pedal
Notes: Next-Generation Guitar Compressor for Expressive Players

Powered by BOSS's MDP technology, the CP-1X is a new type of multiband compressor for guitar that preserves the character of your instrument and technique for unlimited musical expression. Intelligent processing analyses your signal in multiple dimensions as you play, providing advanced dynamics control that never colours or muddies your tone like typical stompbox compressors can. The simple, four-knob interface makes it easy to dial in sophisticated results, while the handy gain reduction indicator always shows you how much compression is being applied. Optimized for all types of guitars, the CP-1X offers next-generation performance for every style of music.

Intelligent Processing for Natural Sound

When you first plug into the CP-1X, you're in for a totally new guitar compressor experience. Typical stompbox compressors colour and restrict your sound, and are hard to dial in for various playing styles. The innovative CP-1X eliminates these drawbacks and more, opening up a world of expressive potential. The powerful MDP engine analyses your guitar's many different tonal elements in real time, providing natural compression that intelligently follows and adapts to your playing. With this high-tech approach, your true tone and technique always comes through, even when using aggressive settings for that effected "squish."

Tap Into New Levels of Musical Expression

No matter what kind of guitar or style you play, the CP-1X always delivers rich, musical tone. From mellow phrases and arpeggios to heavy rhythms, fast solos, and beyond, every playing nuance remains detailed and defined. The pedal also provides superior performance for chicken pickin' country licks, funky rhythm grooves, and other standard guitar compressor applications, and works great as a booster thanks to its punchy, transparent sound. On seven- and eight-string guitars, the CP-1X easily controls upper-range dynamics without compromising your powerful low-end tone. And when used with acoustic-electric guitar, the natural, lush overtones are fully preserved as you go from gentle fingerpicking to full-chord strums.

Studio-Level Results with Simple Controls

With the knobs on most pedal compressors, what you see is what you get. Not so with the CP-1X, as the pedal's controls interact with each other at a highly detailed level. When you turn a knob, numerous interlocked parameters are adjusted under the hood at once. This gives you dynamics control and tone shaping ability that far exceeds standard compressor pedals, providing results previously attainable only with high-end studio processing. The good news is that you don't need to be a sound engineer to use the CP-1X-its sophisticated MDP processing has been meticulously fine-tuned by the BOSS engineers to let you dial in ultra-polished tone with familiar stompbox controls.

High-End Features for Pro Performance

The CP-1X features pro-level 18-volt input circuitry that provides ample headroom for the hottest guitar pickups, ensuring exceptional clarity with any instrument. A 16-segment gain reduction indicator clearly displays the compression amount, making it easy to see what the pedal's doing. The CP-1X's noise performance is also extremely low in comparison with other compressors, another huge benefit brought by BOSS technology.

MDP: Advanced Tech, Superior Tone

Leveraging decades of research and development, BOSS's proprietary Multi-Dimensional Processing (MDP) technology offers a fresh approach to achieving exceptional guitar tones. In real time, MDP analyses the various elements that make up the sound, including frequency, overtones, dynamics, pickup response, and more. Various playing characteristics are analysed as well, such as note register, single notes vs. chords, bends, vibrato amount, and others. Each individual element is then processed in unique ways to produce optimized tones as you play. With its ultra-detailed, high-tech approach, MDP delivers tone quality and playability that reaches far beyond the limits of traditional effects processing.

BOSS RC-5 Loop Station Effects Pedal
Cat: 996020 Rel: 15 Feb 24

Loop station effects pedal
Notes: Step up to the RC-5 and prime your pedalboard with maximum looping range. Capture sound with premium 32-bit quality, navigate parameters and monitor loop status with the backlit LCD, and tap into expanded operation via the control jack and TRS MIDI I/O. And with over 50 rhythms, 13 hours of stereo recording, 99 phrase memories, and more, the compact RC-5 puts a deep well of musical power at your feet.

Featuring best-in-class 32-bit AD/DA and 32-bit floating-point processing, the RC-5 captures your personal sound with full fidelity and keeps loops crystal clear, even with multiple overdubs. And with 13 hours of stereo recording time, there's plenty of space for extended creative journeys.

The RC-5 features the most advanced interface available in any compact looper pedal. The LCD lets you keep an eye on loop status as you perform, with a backlight that changes colour to indicate recording, overdub, and playback states. And coupled with the multi-function parameter knob, it's quick and easy to navigate rhythms, kits, system settings, and more in the heat of the moment.

The RC-5's versatile pedal switch controls all looping functions-record, overdub, play, stop, and undo/redo. But deeper control is also supported if you need it. Connect up to two external footswitches for direct control of many assignable functions, or an expression pedal for continuous adjustments. Players with advanced systems will love the TRS MIDI I/O, which saves space and enables remote operation from MIDI switchers and foot controllers, plus MIDI sync with drum machines and DAWs.

With 57 preset rhythms and seven different drum kits, the RC-5 is ready to elevate loop and practice sessions with inspiring grooves for any style. For each rhythm, A/B variations can be selected from the panel or controlled via MIDI while performing. The RC-5's looper engine also includes a cool reverse function that's great for infusing your music with fresh sonic colours.

The RC-5 provides 99 phrase memories, letting you store loops as fast as you create them. In addition to audio, a phrase memory includes the selected rhythm and kit, so it's ready to go when you call it up. Loop audio can be backed up to a computer via USB. And with WAV import via BOSS Tone Studio, the RC-5 becomes a pedalboard playback hub for lesson material, jam tracks, or backing music for your next gig.

BOSS DD-3T Digital Delay Effects Pedal
Cat: 996027 Rel: 16 Feb 24

Digital delay effects pedal
Notes: BOSS's iconic DD-3 Digital Delay has been a pedalboard staple since 1986, loved everywhere for its great sound and simple operation. With the DD-3T, we've updated the classic stomp with enhanced functionality while fully retaining the original's sound and control layout. It's now possible to tap in delay tempos using the onboard switch or an external one, with your choice of three beat subdivisions. And the direct output jack has been moved next to the main output, providing easier connectivity for wet/dry setups.

In continuous production for over three decades, the DD-3 has been the go-to delay stomp for countless players. Based on the DD-2-the world's first digital delay pedal from 1983-the DD-3 is revered for its warm, round delay tone and simple controls that let you dial in sounds fast. The DD-3T's sound circuitry and controls are identical to the DD-3, delivering every drop of that classic vibe you know and love.

A key addition the DD-3T brings is tap tempo, an essential feature for creating the rhythmic delay effects at the heart of many guitar styles. In delay mode, hold the pedal switch for two seconds to toggle between bypass and tap operation. And for on-demand tap control, simply connect an external footswitch. When the DD-3T receives tap input, up to 800 ms of delay time is available, and the Mode knob sets the tap subdivision (quarter-note triplet, dotted-eighth note, or quarter note).

The DD-3T features a direct output jack like the DD-3, but it's been moved next to the main output jack to make connections easier. Plugging a cable into the direct out converts the main out to delay only, allowing you to send wet and dry signals to different amps for wide, immersive sounds. And if your amp or switcher has a parallel effects loop, just connect a dummy plug to the direct out to mute the dry sound for effect-only blending.

The original DD-3 (and DD-2 before) included a forward-thinking Hold function, which allowed you to capture a sound up to 800 ms long, play it continuously, and jam over the top. Many years later, BOSS further developed this creative concept with the successful Loop Station products, which helped spawn the new musical style of live looping. The DD-3T includes the same Hold function as the DD-3, but it's been renamed "Short Loop" to reflect today's common usage.

Boss DD-8 Digital Delay Effects Pedal
Cat: 996038 Rel: 29 Feb 24

Digital delay effects pedal
Notes: Introducing the DD-8, the most wide-ranging and feature-rich BOSS compact series delay ever. This loaded pedal delivers more of everything-more great sounds, more delay time, more control options, and more connectivity. And it does it all in a standard BOSS pedal that slides easily into any mono or stereo setup. Eleven modes provide delay colours from basic to exotic, plus a looper with unlimited overdub capability and external control support. For maximum versatility in a minimum amount of space, there's no better delay stomp than the DD-8.

Equipped with a diverse selection of delays, the DD-8 packs impressive sonic range into one small pedal. Clean digital delays, vintage analogue and tape types, and modulation echo are available, plus specialty delays like shimmer and reverse. There's a new Warm type for softer echo tones, and a +RV type that blends delay and reverb together. Warp is perfect for dynamic ambient textures, while the new GLT type is great for glitchy rhythmic effects.

Everything sounds bigger and better in stereo, and the DD-8 delivers with full stereo I/O support and your choice of three output modes. The default independent mode provides linked parallel delays on the left and right channels, allowing you to maintain the true balance of stereo input sources in the effect sound. There's also a panning mode for ping-pong delay effects, and a wide stereo mode for enhanced spatial depth.

The DD-8's extensive real-time delay options help bring your music to life. You can tap in tempos with the onboard pedal switch, and control the Warp and GLT modes for unique expressive effects. Adding one or two footswitches unlocks more creative possibilities, like on-demand tap tempo, extended looper control, and a cool Twist effect for soaring echo sounds. Alternately, an expression pedal can be used for continuous control of level, feedback, or delay time-or all of them at once.

Having a looper on your pedalboard is a handy thing-it's great for practice, checking sounds at gigs, and creating on-the-fly backing while performing. The DD-8's looper mode has you covered, so you don't have to take up precious space with a dedicated pedal. All looper functions can be controlled with the onboard switch, providing all-in-one operation. But if you prefer to work with extended controls, just connect one or two footswitches to operate the looper's stop and clear functions externally.

The DD-8's inputs and outputs have smart functionality, allowing you to set the pedal for any application simply by connecting cables in different ways. A variety of mono and stereo connections are supported, including discrete dry and effect outputs for wet/dry setups. It's even possible to defeat the dry signal entirely, perfect for delay-only blending in a parallel effects loop.

Analog-Classic analogue BBD delay sound.
Standard-Clear digital delay.
Tape-Vintage tape-based delay sound.
Warm-Digital delay with a softer sound.
Reverse-Backwards delay for cool psychedelic effects and other unique tones.
+RV-Digital delay with reverb added.
Shimmer-Pitch-shifted delay for lush, shimmering textures.
Mod-Digital delay with modulation added on the repeats.
Warp-Unique delay with expressive pedal control. Holding the pedal switch increases feedback and level, allowing you to create ambient swell effects.
GLT-Newly developed delay mode that creates glitchy machine-gun effects when the pedal switch is pressed. Adjust the Feedback and Time knobs for a wide variety of sounds.
Loop-Loop recorder with overdub capability and up to 40 seconds of recording time with mono input (20 seconds with stereo input).

Boss RE-2 Space Echo Effects Pedal
Cat: 996050 Rel: 19 Feb 24

Space echo effects pedal
Notes: Introduced in 1974 and produced for over 14 years, the Roland RE-201 Space Echo stands among the most legendary and sought-after effect units in music history. Known for its distinctive rhythmic echo sounds, warm character, and highly playable sonic quirks, this tape-based classic continues to inspire musicians, producers, and audio mixers over four decades on.

With the RE-2, the authentic sound and behaviour of the Space Echo is now available in the famous BOSS compact series for the first time. Backed by intensive R&D and our latest innovations, the RE-2 delivers the coveted magic of the RE-201 in a pedalboard-friendly footprint-realized in flawless detail by the company that designed the original.

When tape-based echoes were standard in the music world, the RE-201 was a leader in its class. Equipped with three evenly spaced tape heads and a spring reverb tank, it could produce everything from clean, single delays to dense, rhythmic echoes and ambient washes. The RE-201's appealing sound was influenced by many factors, from the warm compression of magnetic tape saturation to the evolving modulation produced by motor speed fluctuations, friction, and other elements. Last but not least, analogue preamp circuitry was a key ingredient in the Space Echo's rich sonic recipe.

In developing the RE-2 and its big brother, the RE-202, BOSS engineers have fully reproduced all the complex, non-linear behaviours that contribute to the RE-201's immortal character. We carefully analysed several vintage RE-201s, including a pristine original unit from the BOSS and Roland factory archive. Everything that influences the sound has been recreated with all-new algorithms, including the tape path, record/playback mechanism, motor variations, preamp coloration, spring reverb character, and more.

The RE-2 squeezes the complete sonic character of the RE-201 into the classic BOSS compact pedal format. The 11-position mode selector lets you dial in different virtual tape heads with or without spring reverb, and you can balance the echo/reverb blend with independent level knobs. Every behaviour is accurately replicated, such as the gradual pitch change that occurs with Repeat Rate tweaks and the runaway feedback that happens when maxing the Intensity knob. And with the expressive Wow & Flutter control, you can conjure all the natural modulation characteristics that are essential to the Space Echo sound.

The RE-2 takes the Space Echo experience further with versatile features for today's music. Delay time has been doubled and tap tempo control is supported, and there's a cool Twist function for creating evocative special effects as you perform. For the dry sound, you can choose between the warm and fat RE-201 preamp tone or a clean signal with zero processing. Full stereo I/O is available, and it's possible to mute the dry signal for parallel effect setups and studio use. The RE-2 also supports expanded control via external footswitches or an expression pedal, including continuous pedal control of multiple panel functions at once.

Boss RV-6 Reverb Effects Pedal
Boss RV-6 Reverb Effects Pedal (time effects pedal)
Cat: 996376 Rel: 19 Feb 24

Reverb effects pedal
Notes: Infinite inspiration, ready to play

Combining high-end sound and wide-ranging versatility, the RV-6 takes pedal-based reverb to the next level. Reaching beyond the capabilities of previous generations, this powerful stomp employs the latest tech and legendary BOSS know-how to make it easy to get amazing reverb tones instantly. From subtle rooms to modern shimmer effects to long, evocative reverbs, the RV-6 envelops your tone in lush ambient spaces that endlessly inspire.

Simply Great-Sounding Reverbs

Packing the latest BOSS DSP and updated algorithms, the RV-6 gives you eight highly musical reverb effects in one compact pedal. Add body and depth to your core tone with standards like Room, Hall, and Plate, dial up swirling richness with the Modulate setting, or surf it up with a vintage-style Spring reverb. Dynamic mode automatically adjusts the effect depth to your playing touch, providing deep, immersive reverb that won't turn your tone to mud. And modern players will love the new Shimmer and Reverb + Delay modes.

Dialled-In Sounds at Your Command

The RV-6 makes getting high-quality reverb sounds with your guitar quick and easy- just select a sound mode, tweak the knobs to taste, and play. But while its operation is simple, the RV-6's sound is rich and sophisticated. Under the hood, each mode includes a huge array of detailed reverb parameters, all perfectly tuned for guitar by the BOSS engineers with direct input from many pro players and sound engineers. Even as you adjust the selected mode with the Time and Tone knobs, many parameters are simultaneously adjusted inside to create the ideal voicing for every setting.

Analogue Dry Tone and Versatile I/O

While the RV-6's reverb effects are high-tech digital, you can rest assured that your straight guitar tone always remains pure analogue as the effect is blended in. Convenient auto-switching jacks let you integrate with any pedal chain, with support for mono, mono-to-stereo, and stereo-to-stereo operation. And by plugging into the B input only, the RV-6 outputs a 100-percent wet sound, great for working with more complex rigs that employ parallel processing chains and mixers. There's also a jack for connecting an optional expression pedal, allowing you to control the effect level in real time as you play.

Reverb Modes

+DELAY - This is reverb combined with delay. The synergistic effect provides rich reverberation.
SHIMMER- This reverb is distinctive for its sparkling high-frequency range. It produces fantasy-like reverberation wrapped in spacious overtones.
DYNAMIC- This reverb automatically sets the depth of the effect according to your performance. It produces deep reverberation without blurring the overall shape of your playing.
ROOM- This reverb simulates the reverberation of a room. It produces warm reverberation.
HALL- This reverb simulates the reverberation of a hall. It produces clear and spacious reverberation.
PLATE- This simulates a plate reverb (a reverb unit that uses the vibration of a metal plate). It produces metallic-sounding reverberation with an extended high-frequency range.
SPRING- This simulates a spring reverb built into a guitar amp.
MODULATE- This reverb adds modulation to hall reverb, producing extremely good-feeling reverberation.

This amazingly expressive tool is filled with 121 ultra-responsive sounds, all distilled down into a BOSS compact pedal that slides easily into any setup. Best of all, it's as simple to use as a standard stompbox, so you don't need any background in synth programming to bring a new world of sonic textures to your music.

SY-1 SYNTHESIZER Sound Tryout

Get interactive with Boss' custom TonePedia player and explore hundreds of sound variations. Select your instrument, tweak and choose pedal settings.

Expressive Synth Sounds, No Programming Needed

The SY-1 transforms any guitar or bass into a versatile synthesizer that's fun, inspiring, and ready to play. Backed by advanced tech first developed for the SY-300, this super-cool pedal delivers a huge selection of analogue-style synth sounds while occupying minimal space on your board. What's more, all the sounds are polyphonic, allowing you to play both single notes and chords.

Plug-and-Play and Latency-Free

The SY-1 can be used with any guitar or bass via a standard 1/4-inch cable, providing an easy, plug-and-play experience. Thanks to custom DSP and the latest BOSS innovations, the SY-1 offers latency-free performance that's a natural extension of your instrument, letting you to play freely and organically without altering your normal technique in any way.

A Universe of Synth Sounds Inside

With its 11 categories and 121 total sounds, the SY-1 puts an enormous array of synth colours at your fingertips. Expressive leads, sweeping pads, layered organs, fat basses, and more are all on tap, plus a variety of rhythmic synth patterns that are a blast to jam with. And with the grab-and-go Tone/Rate and Depth knobs, you're able to adjust any synth voice just how you like, including changing the pitch on some sounds.

At Home in Any Rig
As a standard BOSS compact, the SY-1 drops into a serial pedal chain like any other stomp. But with the send/return loop and dedicated mix controls, it's also possible to blend one or more pedals in parallel with the SY-1's synth voices. For example, you can patch drive pedals in the loop, and then send the combined output to mod, delay, and reverb pedals for overall processing. The send can be used as a direct out as well, enabling you to route synth and guitar sounds to separate destinations.

Enhance Performances with Real-Time Control
The SY-1 offers a numbers of ways to make your synth performances even more dynamic and expressive. Pressing and holding the pedal switch sustains the last-played synth sound, allowing you to jam with regular guitar over the top. Reverb effects pedal
Notes: Part of the new Boss 200 series, the RV-200 is a seriously classy reverb. With a choice of 12 algorithms, things quickly move from classic ambience to the pitch-shifted arpeggiated madness of the new Arpverb program.

Supplier's Notes:
Ambient Bliss

The RV-200 delivers inspiring reverbs and premium sound in the streamlined BOSS 200 series design. Twelve versatile reverb types-including the newly developed Arpverb-provide everything from subtle spatial colour to complex, dreamy textures for ambient explorations. Quickly dial in sounds with the fast-access interface. Save favourites in 127 memories. And take performances to the next level with flexible onboard footswitches, deep external control support, and head-turning creative tools like Warp, Twist, and more.

Studio-Grade Processing

The RV-200 features a powerful reverberation engine with class-leading sound quality, backed by custom BOSS DSP, 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit floating point processing, and a 96 kHz sampling rate. Every algorithm offers true studio-grade performance, with exceptional detail and definition from the shortest early reflections to long, floating tails spanning multiple seconds.

Twelve Distinctive Reverbs

From essentials like Room and Hall to deeply immersive reverbs like Shimmer, Slowverb, and the cool new Arpverb, the RV-200 gives you the ambient colours you need for every song and style.

Room

Simulates the reverberation characteristics of a small room. Select from four room sizes with the Param knob.

Hall

Simulates the reverberation characteristics of a concert hall. Select from three hall sizes with the Param knob.

Plate

Simulates the reverberation characteristics of a studio plate reverb. Balance the high and low damping of the reverb with the Param knob.

Spring

Simulates the distinctive sound of the hardware spring reverb effect found in guitar amplifiers. Select the number of springs with the Param knob.

Shimmer

Creates long, dreamlike reverberations rich in harmonic content. Adjust the harmonic character and diffusion with the Param knob.

Arpverb

A newly developed BOSS reverb that creates an arpeggio type of sound with evocative pitch-shifted tails. Use the Param knob to adjust the attack of the arpeggio sound.

Slowverb

A sweet ambient reverb with gentle attack and soft harmonics. Param adjusts the amount of direct sound blended with the reverb, allowing you to create deep, immersive tones.

Modulate

Adds a modulation effect to a rich hall reverb sound. Adjust the modulation depth with the Param knob.

+Delay

Combines a delay with reverb, with the length of both effects controlled with the Time knob. Use the Param knob to adjust the delay level.

Lo-Fi

A specialty reverb with limited bandwidth and added distortion. Adjust the distortion amount with the Param knob.

Gate

A distinctive reverb effect that abruptly cuts off the reverb tail. Use the Param knob to control the timing of the gate effect.

Reverse

Plays the reverb sound in reverse. Adjust the high-frequency character with the Param knob.

Instant Sound Creation

Like all 200 series pedals, the RV-200 offers a powerful yet intuitive panel that lets you realize great sounds with minimal effort. Along with core parameters such as reverb time, effect level, and pre-delay, there are variable high and low filters to perfectly balance the verb for your application. You also have a density control to adjust the weight of the sound, plus a parameter knob with access to multiple sound-shaping tools that are unique to each type.

Expressive Performance Control

The RV-200 includes memories for storing 127 reverb sounds, so your favourite setups are always ready to go. Two onboard footswitches pack a lot of performance versatility, with numerous options to reassign their targets to suit your needs. For example, you can bypass the effect, scroll through memories, and activate a Hold function to carry on the reverb effect for as long as the switch is pressed. It's also possible to assign powerful performance effects such as Warp, Twist, and Fade.

Boss DD-200 Digital Delay Effects Pedal
Cat: 996860 Rel: 19 Mar 24

Digital delay effects pedal
Notes: Simply sophisticated

With the 200 series, BOSS introduces a new generation of pedals that pack advanced sound and versatility into a streamlined size that saves space on your board. Grab-and-go controls and multi-function switches make operation easy and intuitive, while onboard memories allow you to store multiple setups for instant recall. All 200 series pedals feature premium audio quality with 32-bit internal processing and offer support for external control via footswitches, an expression pedal, or MIDI.

The DD-200 Digital Delay brings together sounds and features inherited from the flagship DD-500 into an even smaller footprint. Twelve different modes offer an inspiring variety of delay colours from modern digital to classic analogue, letting you dial up everything from basic echoes to rich ambient pads and everything in-between. There's also a looper that's always ready to use, plus a selectable carryover function for seamless transitions between memories.

For optimal performance, stay up to date with the current DD-200 system software

Twelve Modes, Unlimited Sounds

With 12 different modes to choose from, the DD-200 provides nearly any flavour of delay in an amazingly compact size. At your command are super-clean digital delays, gritty analogue echoes, and spot-on retro sounds from the Roland RE-201 Space Echo and Binson Echorec 2. There's also a variety of options for creating reverse effects, lo-fi tones, and pulsing rhythmic sounds with layered delays. And with the Tera Echo, Shimmer, and Pad Echo modes, immersive ambient colours are just a knob twist away.

Dial in Sounds Fast

The DD-200 features a no-nonsense interface, making it easy to craft inspiring sounds in the heat of the moment. Essential delay parameters are provided on dedicated controls for direct, hands-on access. And in each mode, the function of the PARAM knob changes to parameters tailored for the selected type, delivering extended control with no need to menu dive.

Save and Recall Your Favourite Setups

The DD-200 features 127 user memories plus a real-time panel setting, giving you 128 total setups to choose from. Any range of consecutive memories and the panel setting can be assigned for scrolling access from a footswitch. It's also possible to limit the scrolling range or assign memories directly for even faster recall. If you crave deeper control, setups can be directly recalled via program change messages from an external MIDI device. And by enabling the carryover function, delay repeats will keep sounding as you change memories for smooth, free-flowing transitions.

Deep Real-Time Control

By default, the DD-200's multi-function footswitches provide access to basic functions like bypass, memory scrolling, tap tempo, and looper control. But you can easily reassign them to hold, warp, and many other functions. External control is also possible via footswitches or an expression pedal, and MIDI I/O is even provided on space-saving mini TRS jacks. Via MIDI, you're able to chain multiple 200 series pedals and select memories on all of them at once, and also control a wide range of functions from MIDI devices like the ES-8 and ES-5 effects switchers.

Ready-to-Go Looper

Any time you're ready, pressing the DD-200's two footswitches together puts you into looper mode. Up to 60 seconds of mono recording time is available, and operation is simple and direct with the onboard switches. And since the looper engine functions independently, you're able to develop expressive loops with any of the DD-200's rich delay sounds.

DD-200 Delay Modes

Standard-Clear digital delay. PARAM adjusts the delay attack.
Analog-Emulates classic analogue "BBD" delays like the BOSS DM series. PARAM controls character and distortion amount.

Boss MD-200 Modulation Effects Pedal
Boss MD-200 Modulation Effects Pedal (modulation effects pedal)
Cat: 996868 Rel: 18 Mar 24

Modulation effects pedal
Notes: Simply sophisticated

With the 200 series, BOSS introduces a new generation of pedals that pack advanced sound and versatility into a streamlined size that saves space on your board. Grab-and-go controls and multi-function switches make operation easy and intuitive, while onboard memories allow you to store multiple setups for instant recall. All 200 series pedals feature premium audio quality with 32-bit internal processing and offer support for external control via footswitches, an expression pedal, or MIDI.

Outfitted with algorithms from the flagship MD-500, the MD-200 Modulation delivers an array of world-class effects in one small, convenient pedal. Twelve different modes provide every mod sound you need and more, and each includes customized controls that unlock deep tone shaping right from the panel. And with the powerful insert function, it's simple to patch in drive pedals and other effects for selectable pre or post processing.

For optimal performance, stay up to date with the current MD-200 system software.

Twelve Mod Essentials in One Pedal

Compact and mighty, the MD-200 gives you every key mod effect in a minimal footprint. Modern and vintage BOSS chorus effects are included, plus phaser, flanger, rotary, vibrato, and tremolo. Classic vibe and '70s phaser effects are also available, complete with selectable distortion for added versatility. BOSS's famous Slicer delivers lots of cool rhythmic grooves, while the rich Overtone effect dishes up fat octave tones and unique sonic colours. There's a highly adjustable auto wah as well, which can double as a foot wah when an expression pedal is connected.

Dial in Sounds Fast

With the MD-200's simple and direct interface, it's easy to craft inspiring sounds in the heat of the moment. Using dedicated controls, you can quickly dial in rate, depth, and level for any selected mode. You can also tap in the rate with a footswitch while playing, and visually set note subdivisions right from the panel. Going further, three additional parameter knobs dynamically change functions with each mode, providing extended tone shaping with no need to menu dive.

Save and Recall Your Favourite Setups

The MD-200 features 127 user memories plus a real-time panel setting, giving you 128 total setups to choose from. Any range of consecutive memories and the panel setting can be assigned for scrolling access from a footswitch. It's also possible to limit the scrolling range or assign memories directly for even faster recall. And if you crave deeper control, setups can be directly recalled via program change messages from an external MIDI device.

Instantly Change Effect Order for Optimum Tone

Using the MD-200's insert loop function, you're able to patch external pedals, set the ideal effect order, and save the setting to an onboard memory. For example, you can place a phaser or classic vibe before an external pedal in one memory, a chorus or flanger after in the next, and then switch between them. This is particularly useful with drive pedals, where the signal order can have a dramatic effect on the selected mod sound.

Deep Real-Time Control

By default, the MD-200's multi-function footswitches control bypass, memory scrolling, and tap tempo, but you can easily reassign them to alternate functions as needed. External control is also possible via footswitches or an expression pedal, and MIDI I/O is even provided on space-saving mini TRS jacks. Via MIDI, you're able to chain multiple 200 series pedals and select memories on all of them at once, and also control various functions from MIDI devices like the ES-8 and ES-5 effects.

A history of BOSS processing is at your fingers, from classics such as the OD-1 Overdrive to modern effects powered by innovative MDP technology. There's a huge selection of COSM amp tones on tap too, including vintage legends and BOSS original amps optimized for ideal tone and response. Specialized effects like Acoustic Simulator, Guitar Simulator, and others provide numerous tonal options, and there's even a looper to enhance your practice sessions and stage performances.

Portable Tone Partner

The GT-1 was designed for musicians on the move. It's surprisingly lightweight and compact, yet still delivers the rugged durability that BOSS is famous for. The modern design is easy to slip in and out of a guitar bag's accessory compartment, with no worries of hard edges causing damage to your axe. AC or battery power provides flexibility for any performing situation, and up to seven hours of battery life is available for street performing and other mobile gigs.

Easy Patch Selection and Sound Creation

With the GT-1, it's simple to find fantastic tones for your style, and just as simple to customize them to taste. Beginners can get great sounds right away, while more experienced players will appreciate how quick and intuitive it is to adjust sounds. The Easy Select function allows you to choose patches by genre, distortion, or effect type, while Easy Edit lets you tweak drive, modulation, and echo tones to perfection with little effort. Dedicated panel buttons provide quick on/off switches for effect groups, and also unlock deep-dive parameters for microscopic fine-tuning.

BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio

At BOSS Tone Central, you'll find tons of free patch collections for playing all types of music with the GT-1. Created by pro guitarists, these patches are dialled-in and ready to use, and make great starting points for advanced players who like to create their own custom sounds. The free BOSS Tone Studio software provides a full-featured editor/librarian for the GT-1, as well as integrated access to all the patch collections at BOSS Tone Central.

Maximum Control in a Small Space

The GT-1's three footswitches are smartly designed to provide patch selection, tuner access, looper control, and more in a minimal footprint. The dedicated CTL1 switch is freely assignable to functions like tap tempo, effects on/off, and numerous others, while the expression pedal and toe switch are assignable to volume, wah, and various effects parameters. If you crave more control, there's even a jack for connecting up to two external footswitches or an expression pedal. And in addition to providing access to BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio, the GT-1's USB jack lets you record tones with your favourite DAW.

BOSS GT-100 COSM Amp Multi-Effects Processor Pedal
Cat: 997471 Rel: 17 Apr 24

COSM amp multi-effects processor pedal
Notes: High-end amps and effects from vintage to modern with advanced flexibility

With the new GT-100 Version 2.0 update, BOSS' high-end multi-effects processor is now even more powerful than before, adding a host of great new features to its already formidable arsenal. Two new amp types are included, along with cutting-edge MDP effects, an acoustic guitar simulator, and an improved rotary effect. A convenient Guitar-to-MIDI function is on board as well, letting you connect to a computer to play soft synths and input MIDI note using your normal guitar. The GT-100's USB audio capabilities have been expanded too, providing greater flexibility for re-amping applications. And with the BOSS TONE STUDIO software, you can now edit GT-100 patches from a friendly graphical interface on your computer.

Advanced COSM Amps: Beyond Vintage

With its next-generation COSM processor, the GT-100 ushers in a new era of expression and sonic capabilities. Recreating the meticulous details of vintage amps and how they behave, the GT-100 excels in not only cloning classic amps, but in creating a new world of unimagined tones as well. The Amp Customize function lets you mutate classic amps beyond reality to construct completely new, unimagined sounds!

Simple and Intuitive User Interface

The GT-100's unique dual-LCD and eight-knob user interface provides fast access and intuitive control. There are no menus to navigate; every function is instantly available. The tone-customizing functionality has been improved as well-all patches, amps, and overdrives/distortions can be created from scratch and/or customized with the friendly graphical Tone Grid.

New Tonal Possibilities with the Accel Pedal

A new dimension of expression is available with the Accel pedal, which enables control of multiple parameters simultaneously, as well as time-variant effects such as Feedbacker, S-Bend, Twist, and more. Experiment with creative combinations of parameters and bring dynamic new sounds to your performances by interacting in real time with this cool pedal.

A/B Channel Divider Function

Another notable feature in the GT-100 is the versatile A/B Channel Divider. This lets you assign different amps and effects to each channel, either for blending together or switching between them with a footswitch. Going even further, you also have the ability to switch channels by playing strength or frequency range. With each channel capable of driving its own effects and amps settings, the range of tones gets wider and wilder! You can assign smooth, mild lead tones to the mid-to-high pitches, for example, and heavy, cutting tones to the lower notes-the tonal possibilities are endless.

Edit and Organize Sounds with BOSS TONE STUDIO

Available as a free download for Mac or Windows, BOSS TONE STUDIO gives you an intuitive graphical interface for creating and editing GT-100* effects patches from your computer via USB. The software also makes it easy to organize and archive patches, and to load them as needed for different gigs and recording sessions. If your computer has Internet access, BOSS TONE STUDIO provides an integrated connection to the BOSS TONE CENTRAL website, where you can preview and download free gig-ready patches created by top guitar pros directly into the GT-100.

*GT-100 Version 2.0 software is required for compatibility with BOSS TONE STUDIO.

Dedicated comp/limiter and drive sections provide core processing, while FX1 and FX2 offer a treasure trove of options from the BOSS bass effects library, from standards like chorus and flanger to octave, bass synth, and more. The FX2 section also includes delay and reverb, and over 60 total effect types are available for loading via the BOSS Tone Studio editor.

Precision Sound-Crafting Tools

With the intuitive panel controls on the Katana-110 Bass, you can quickly refine your tone in detail. The studio-inspired Blend section lets you mix in some dry signal, which you can pre-shape from the panel with three customizable settings for the optimum tonal fusion. A comprehensive four-band EQ is also on hand, complete with three selectable frequency centres in the low-mid and high-mid bands.

Rich Performance Versatility

The flexible Katana-110 Bass is your perfect partner for any live gig. Six Tone Setting memories are available for storing and recalling the sounds you create, including preamp type, EQ, Blend, and effect settings. You can switch memories from the panel and go even further with optional footswitches, an expression pedal, and the GA-FC Foot Controller. There's also a balanced XLR output for connecting to a house PA, along with a switch to select between direct, pre, or post signals.

Recording And Practice Powerhouse

The Katana-110 Bass is equally suited for studio recording and home playing. The compact footprint takes up minimal space, and the variable Power Control lets you dial up cranked-amp tones at family-friendly volume levels. A headphones/recording jack provides a direct output with effects and mic'd cab emulation with three Air Feel settings, while USB lets you interface with computer production software and track with great tone.

Boss Katana-50 MKII 50W Guitar Amplifier
Cat: 997589 Rel: 14 Feb 24

50W guitar amplifier
Notes: Katana MkII takes the acclaimed Katana guitar amp series to the next level, turbocharging the core platform with more sounds, more effects, and more features. Newly voiced variations are now available for all five amp characters, doubling the tonal options. And the onboard effects categories have been expanded from three to five, providing even more real-time processing to choose from. The usability has been ramped up too, with a power amp input for modelers and multi-FX, updated editor software, and many other enhancements.

More Sounds, More Versatility

The stage-class Katana MkII lineup picks up where the first generation left off, building on the same core tones and features that have made the series such a worldwide smash. If you loved the original Katana amps, you'll love Katana MkII even more. And if you're new to the party, get ready for sound, feel, and versatility that soars far beyond its price class.

Five Amp Characters, Ten Overall Tones
Katana MkII's five primary amp characters offer everything from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain sounds, plus a dedicated voice optimized for acoustic-electric guitar. The characters have now been extended with newly voiced variations, providing a wider palette of tone options to craft your personal sound.

Five Effects At Once

Katana MkII now includes five simultaneous effects categories, putting the tone-shaping power of a massive pedalboard right inside your amp. Independent Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections come loaded from the factory with three variations in each, providing 15 ready-to-play effects to choose from. Connecting to BOSS Tone Studio lets you dive much deeper if you want-customize the sections with over 60 different effect types, change the order with four different chains, and much more.

Full-Throttle Sound Every Time You Plug In

Backed by BOSS's Tube Logic approach, Katana MkII delivers the authentic output distortion characteristics of genuine tube amplifiers, with the sound and feel becoming richer and more responsive as you turn up the volume. But unlike that classic tube amp, Katana MkII's variable Power Control makes it easy to fly in the sweet spot without getting fired from the gig or kicked out of the house. Just throttle back the overall volume as needed to enjoy inspiring, cranked-amp sound anywhere you play, from bedroom to stage.

Amplify Your External Gear

The Katana-50 MkII rocks as a standalone amp, but it also excels as a powered cabinet for a favourite preamp, modeler, or multi-effects unit. Connecting to the rear-panel Power Amp In jack bypasses Katana MkII's preamp and effects, letting you tap straight into the Tube Logic power section, complete with grab-and-go Power Control. And with BOSS Tone Studio, the input can be easily optimized for your particular gear with a high-pass filter and adjustable gain.

One-Touch Recall Of Custom Setups

One of the Katana-50 MkII's most powerful features is the ability to store favourite amp character and effects setups in Tone Setting memories for instant recall. After you've dialled in a sound with the panel controls, simply save it to the desired memory with a quick button hold. Four Tone Settings (two banks of two) are available, with fast selection right from the panel. It's also possible to connect external footswitches for hands-free control on the gig.

Boss Katana-Mini 7W Guitar Amplifier
Cat: 997592 Rel: 15 Feb 24

7W guitar amplifier
Notes: Serious Rock DNA forged into a compact, battery-powered amp

BOSS Katana amps have received accolades from guitarists everywhere for their fantastic sound and feel, onboard effects, and great value. Now, the Katana-Mini makes serious Katana tone accessible in a small, go-anywhere amp that runs on batteries. Offering sound quality that far exceeds other amps in its class, this miniature powerhouse features an authentic multi-stage analogue gain circuit for big, expressive sound, plus a traditional analogue EQ and an onboard tape-style delay. Ultra-compact and travel-ready, the Katana-Mini delivers inspiring Katana tone anywhere you want to play.

Unlike typical small, battery-powered guitar amps that offer so-so sound quality, the Katana-Mini produces big, full tone that inspires you to plug in and play for hours at a time. BOSS's comprehensive design approach includes a custom speaker, advanced hardware, refined circuitry, and special component selection, which all work together to produce maximum sound quality in a minimum footprint. The amp also incorporates BOSS's decades of research in energy efficient design, providing class-defying power and punch from only six AA-size batteries.

Inspiring Tones, Ready to Rock

The Katana-Mini's all-analogue input circuitry includes multiple gain stages that drive three classic sound settings, offering the same cascaded gain approach found in high-end amp designs. This is what gives the Katana-Mini its satisfying tone and quick, interactive feel, with distortion that's easily controlled with input volume and picking strength. Inspired by BOSS's flagship Waza amp, the Katana-Mini's Brown setting delivers expressive, high-gain tones rich with harmonics, perfect for heavy riffs and soaring solos. Crunch provides overdrive that's ideal for rock rhythms and bluesy leads, while Clean offers up crisp, sparkling tones with punchy dynamic response.

Analogue Tone Stack and Onboard Delay

In contrast to the limited EQs found in other small amps, the Katana-Mini comes equipped with a genuine three-band analog tone stack. This provides natural sound shaping via familiar bass, mid, and treble controls, just like the tone stack in a full-size stage amp. In addition, you can enhance your sound further with the Katana-Mini's cool tape-style delay. Using the dedicated time and level knobs, it's simple to dial in everything from subtle reverb-like ambience to long, warm delay repeats.

Jam at Home or Grab and Go

Thanks to the Katana-Mini's advanced-yet-compact design, you can plug into serious guitar tone any time and any place. Weighing just under three pounds, it sits easily on a tabletop or shelf at home. And with the integrated handle and battery operation, it's easy and convenient to grab the amp and play anywhere you want, indoors or out. With the aux input, you can even plug in your smartphone and jam along with your personal music library or tracks streamed from the web. And for private practice and recording situations, you'll want to take advantage of the phones/recording output, which features special cabinet voicing for real mic'd amp tone.

Second-generation version of Boss's excellent looper gives you five stereo tracks, four simultaneous effects, hands-on control and full MIDI support.

Boss DS-1 Distortion Effects Pedal
Boss DS-1 Distortion Effects Pedal (distortion effects pedal)
Cat: 996884 Rel: 15 Feb 24

Distortion effects pedal
Notes: The Benchmark in Guitar Distortion

The DS-1 Distortion is a true icon in the world of guitar effects. Introduced in 1978, BOSS's first distortion pedal defined a bold new sound, delivering hard-edged attack and smooth sustain that's been a staple of players for generations. The DS-1 is the top-selling BOSS compact pedal ever, and its original, unchanged design continues to inspire the creation of great music everywhere. The classic DS-1 tone is behind the signature sounds of numerous rock legends, and is ready to fuel your own signature sound today.

Genre-Defining Distortion

Before the DS-1, most distortion pedals produced harsh, buzzy tones and muddy sound at high gain settings. In 1978, BOSS engineers changed all that by developing a unique distortion circuit for the DS-1 that produces tight, hard-edged gain with rich harmonics while retaining the unique characteristics of different guitars and playing techniques. Hard rock, metal, and punk styles began to flourish in the '70s and '80s, and the DS-1's tone had a defining influence on these genres. That trend has endured through multiple generations, and players around the world continue to seek out the classic DS-1 sound.

Gain from Mild to Heavy

From its modest three-knob interface, many different sound colours can be coaxed from the DS-1. Its pioneering two-stage circuit incorporates both transistor and op-amp gain stages. This approach is critical to the DS-1's characteristic low-frequency fullness, which is loved by guitarists that play heavy music genres. The distortion knob offers an extremely wide range, from a mild boost for driving amps and pedals to full-throttle gain for monster rock riffs.

Powerful Tone Shaping

Unlike typical tone controls that only cut highs, the DS-1's tone circuit features an innovative design that offers far more range. Turning the knob clockwise increases highs and decreases lows, while going counter-clockwise has the opposite effect. This lets you dial in everything from tight, cutting rhythm sounds to smooth, fat lead voices. The tone control is particularly effective for maintaining low-end definition when using the DS-1 as a booster with vintage-style amps, which often sound muddy when driven with other distortion pedals.

Boss Cube Street 2 10W Battery-Powered Stereo Amplifier
Cat: 1000185 Rel: 14 Feb 24

10W battery-powered stereo amplifier
Notes: Be Heard Anywhere

Wherever you perform, high-quality sound with great projection is essential to capture listeners and stand out from the pack. With the portable CUBE Street II by your side, you have the tools you need to deliver your message with confidence in any mobile setting, from musical performances on the street to public speaking events.

Evolved from the best-selling Roland CUBE Street-and newly rebranded with the BOSS name-this battery-driven powerhouse provides rich stereo sound for busking and other mobile gigs. Dual channels allow you to plug in mics and instruments and sound great immediately, with no extra gear to carry around. A vocal harmony function, looper, and effects are also on hand to lift your performances and impress the crowd. And with the optional Bluetoothr Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL), you can wirelessly stream backing tracks and control CUBE Street II functions from your phone or tablet.

Travel Light with Powerful Sound

Compared with its popular predecessor, CUBE Street II is even lighter and more durable thanks to its modern ABS injection-moulded design. The output power has been doubled too, giving you 10 total watts of crisp and clean stereo sound to cut through street traffic, train arrivals, and other noise challenges on the gig. In quieter situations where you don't need as much headroom, kicking in Eco mode reduces the power to extend battery life.

All the Connectivity You Need

With two ultra-versatile input channels, CUBE Street II supports all types of musicians and performers. The Mic/Instrument channel features a combo jack for either an XLR balanced mic or an instrument such as a keyboard or Roland's Aerophone. Equipped with a standard 14-inch jack, the Guitar/Mic channel provides plug-and-play sound for guitarists with seven acoustic and electric amp types, as well as settings for a line-level instrument or unbalanced mic. And if you ever need to expand your sonic reach, dedicated outputs are available for connecting to a house PA or another CUBE Street II.

Make Your Performances Shine

CUBE Street II is packed with features to enhance your sound and bring fresh energy to shows. Each channel provides dedicated three-band EQ and reverb, and there's a chorus/delay effect on the Guitar/Mic channel. The harmony function on the Mic/Instrument channel creates impressive vocal harmonies that will make audiences wonder where the background singers are hiding. Harmonies are produced as you sing based on the guitar chords you play or a key you set, and you can bring them in and out as needed with an optional footswitch. There's a built-in looper too, providing a powerful and fun way to create backing tracks on the spot.

From the Street to the World

CUBE Street II helps you reach both in-person and global audiences at the same time. Via i-CUBE Link and USB, you can send the amp's audio output to video, livestreaming, or music production apps for on-the-spot capture. The i-CUBE Link jack provides a mono output and connects to most phones and tablets with the included cable, while USB supports a stereo digital connection to a computer or an iOS device.*

*An Apple adaptor may be required to connect an iOS device to the CUBE Street II via i-CUBE Link or USB.

A Grab-and-Go PA for Everyone

While designed with performing musicians in mind, CUBE Street II excels in any situation that requires high-quality sound. It's easy to move and sets up anywhere, making it perfect for speaking in presentations, workshops, and school events. And with the ability to play music as well-either wired through the aux input or wirelessly with the optional Bluetoothr Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL) -CUBE Street II is ideal for background entertainment and impromptu karaoke performances.

Phase shifter effects module
Notes: Modern phasing with tap tempo sync

The BOSS PH-3 Phase Shifter pedal provides a wealth of vintage and modern phasing effects, including new "Rise" and "Fall" modes for unique, unidirectional phasing. Syncing these phasing effects is as simple as tapping the pedal to the desired tempo, while an optional expression pedal provides realtime control of the PH-3's Rate, Filter and Tempo.

"Rise" and "Fall" Effects

In addition to standard up and down cycles, the new PH-3 Infinite Phaser can produce entirely upward or downward moving sounds through its new Rise and Fall effects. There's also 4-, 8-, 10-, and 12-stage phasers, plus a Step effect.

Total Control

Syncing the PH-3's phasing effects can be achieved by simply tapping the pedal to the tempo desired. Or, for maximum control, connect an optional expression pedal to control both rate and filter in real time as you play.
