Review: Vuo returns with another entry into his ongoing Ruutana City Mood Series, with this one being on eco black wax but a green vinyl version is also available. Ohm & Kvadrant open with a smoky, textured roller driven by icy drums. Armin Bender follows with 'All Or Nothing' which offers a lighter, more optimistic vibe with airy pads. Tm Shuffle strips things back on 'Efficient Answers' to deliver a gritty, minimalist basement groove. Closing the EP, Gonzalo Villarreal presents 'Curanto', a raw, percussive cut bathed in rich echo and reverb for a captivating close.

Review: Finnish label Vuo kicks off its year with a second instalment in the Ruutana City Mood Series. Once again it brings four vital dubbed out grooves to a lovely green marbled vinyl starting with Ohm & Kvadrant's 'Borsen' which is a smoky, grainy roller with icy drums. Armin Bender's 'All Or Nothing' brings a little extra light and optimism in the airy pads and Tm Shuffle pairs things right back for 'Efficient Answers' which is a gritty basement jam. Gonzalo Villarreal's 'Curanto' shits down with tons of lovely echo and reverb on a raw percussive cut.

Review: This installment presents a trio of deep and dubby techno cuts, each one meticulously crafted to transport the listener to a realm of spaciousness and hypnotic grooves. Nicolas Barnes' 'Limited Value' sets the stage, its subtle melodies and echoing textures creating a sense of vastness and introspection, much like a journey into the depths of a cavernous cathedral. Poro's 'Moysiys Strip' builds upon this foundation, its dubby atmospherics and mesmerising rhythms enveloping the listener in a hypnotic soundscape, reminiscent of a late-night drive through a desolate cityscape. Tm Shuffle & Monoder's 'Tammottos' adds a touch of energy to the mix with a pulsating bassline and intricate percussion interlocking to create a captivating groove that's both hypnotic and propulsive, like a heartbeat pulsing through the darkness. With its focus on atmosphere and sonic depth, this 12" is a must-have for those who appreciate the more introspective and evocative side of techno.

Review: The second Soulful Dubs outing is full of a load more of just that. It's a various artists affair with Tm Shuffle, Monoder & Tapani Rinne hooking up for the opener which comes dubbed out by Tm Shuffle. It is gorgeously evocative and subtle with organic, wooden hits and synths floating up top while steamy sax adds the romance. The original is a minimal and slow-motion dub cut that rides a nice broken beat. Aleksi Myllykoski steps up on flip for 'Slowburn' (feat Tapani Rinne) which is more paced but no less deep. Last of all comes the Tm Shuffle Distant dub for more heady and zoned-out vibes.
