Limited Whites Vol 1
Limited Whites Vol 1 (hand-numbered limited 12")
Cat: MEANTLW 001. Rel: 28 May 13
Minimal/Tech House
  1. Remain - "Ralph" (Ewan Peasron remix)
  2. Rework - "Wanted A Talk"
  3. Remote - "Conex" (Kiki remix)
  4. Monoblok & PSLKTR - "Damage Done" (Crackboy mix)
Review: Remain's MEANT Records has proved a worthy outlet for techy fare since its establishment in 2008 and here they expand operations with the commencement of a new vinyl only series dedicated to issuing previously unreleased or rare material from the label's core roster. As debut releases go, Limited Whites Vol 1 is pretty impressive with exclusive remixes from Ewan Pearson, Crackboy and Kiki complemented by an original production from iconic Playhouse trio Rework. Pearson's remix of Remain's "Ralph" (try saying that five times in a row) is lifted from the 2011 EP of the same name for a welcome second airing, whilst Rework display their penchant for deep throbbing acid cuts with the excellent "Wanted A Talk". However it's the suitably unhinged rework of Monoblok & PSLKTR's "Damage Done" from Tigersushi's Crackboy that makes this 12" truly worthy of your attention.
