  1. Vortex (11:13)
  2. Pyramid (6:29)
  3. Sphere (6:34)
Review: The Sol Asylum label continues its minimalistic outlook on house and techno with a return from the Odd duo, Damian Daley and Danny Dixon. The pair have been brought in a reggae tradition thanks to their fathers and they both share a passion for percussion, something which can be clearly heard on both the pulsating push of "Vortex" and "Pyramid", two lciks which are sure to fill the floors at peak time hour. The deeper and more hypnotic "Sphere" tune ties thing s off in sci-fi tradition, where loose and airy synths glide above bric-a-brac percussion shots. Majestic

  1. Little Drum (7:01)
  2. Little Drum (Kamran Sadeghi remix) (7:37)
  3. The Reload (7:01)
  4. The Reload (Malin Genie remix) (7:37)
Review: You'll normally find OdD lurking round their own self-titled label, but on this occasion they're moonlighting on SPORTS with more of that shuffling, jazzy minimal house they've made their calling card. "Little Drum" is a perfect percussive trip-out of a track, all dense layers of rhythm locking into a dreamy house swell, while "The Reload" offers a distinctly different prospect powered by driving machine beats and techy synth threads. Kamran Sadeghi turns "Little Drum" into a dynamic, dark-edged tech-house workout, and Malin Genie drops some freaky electro stylings all over "The Reload", making this a 12" with something for everyone (who likes quality house, techno and electro at least).

Minimal/Tech House
  1. Tidal Wave
  2. Zero Gravity
  3. Lunar Blueprint
Review: "This release is pure sundown pressure from the start. Just like the Waxing Gibbous moonrise the namesake EP transforms you ready for the descent into the dark night. A1 'Zero Gravity' launches into takeoff with a trajectory course aimed straight for the dancefloor. Sub bass and crisp percs put this track firmly in driving seat. A.2 'Tidal Wave' is flooded with 'Dub' influence. With a tape delay in full effect the low end modulates warm and easy from edge to edge. B1 'Lunar Blueprint' shifts gears and closed the EP in the Dub Techno arena. The hollow melody haunts the track and progresses through each section while spooky samples laced with reverb orbit a tepid bassline produced especially for those dark hours.

Minimal/Tech House
  1. Forty Five (7:45)
  2. Thirty Three & A Third (6:25)
  3. Nine (6:27)
Review: The OdD Music crew are back with more of that off-kilter, subtly freaked up house music shuffle to make your bones shake. This sixth release on the label has everything any minimal head craves, not least on opening jam "Forty Five" with its nervy piano licking away underneath a heavy filter while the groove rolls on incessantly. "Thirty Three & A Third" takes a different approach, dropping some deft broken beats into the mix and letting some spaced out synth wobbles ping the track into a curious new orbit. "Nine" finishes the EP off with some immersive percussive tones that call to mind ritualistic dancing and transcendental experience, just like all good party music should.

  1. Oops
  2. Abhorrent
  3. I'm Complete
Review: Fresh out of the OdD archives Tapes of Old 3 is enveloped an air of antiquity. Cut straight from the tape reel, A1 'Oops' is charged with reams of static percussion and low frequency oscillation. B1 'Abhorrent SNIP' captures a galactic essence where waves of bass meet synth in a beckoning symphony of creation. B2 'I'm Complete' marches in to close the EP with tight snares cutting into the undulating it's flow and grounded with smooth session of kicks. This postmodern production is pure energy in motion, constructed with an otherworldly soundscape and a purpose for mindful mysticism. "
