  2. Man On Wire (reconstruction) (6:25)
  3. Hidden Track (9:01)
Review: After a smashing debut EP by Joey Anderson back in 2013, the Avenue 66 label returns with a follow-up from Lowtec, Workshop Records frontman and Leipzig's finest alongside Kassem Mosse and Mix Mup. As expected from the man, "Man On Wire" is a mechanical beast, a downtempo jam whose groove is barely held together by mild pads and wavey melodies, while the "reconstruction" version throws in a pseudo four-to-the-floor kick to throw that ambience into shape. On the flip, "Hidden Track" is a shady, percussion-driven house masterpiece filled with the right sort of minimalism and plenty of gorgeous instrumentation. This is Lowtec doing what he does best, don't miss it.

Review: German artist Lowtec operates in the shadows, on the fringes of traditional genres where everything becomes weird, wonky and wonderful. Since 2016 he has been doing so for Swedish label Blundar, and after putting out their first EP he now returns for another that is just as unusual and otherworldly. It is made from busted drum loops, distant church bell sounds, deconstructed percussion and off grid rhythm. All four of the untiled cuts here are dark but beautiful, subtle but profound. The opener is the most intense, "Track 2" is filled with mystery and the flip takes in haunting house and rhythmic noise. This EP proves that few are more adventurous or inventive than Lowtec.

Review: Marvin Dash is the mysterious Ronald Reuter, the man behind several seminal early noughties classics, mainly released on United States of Mars, Force Inc. and of course Out To Lunch which reissue this 2005 release. Dash's contribution "MD" is the very subterranean and dubby style of deepness that you expect from the man, while label boss Jens Kuhn aka Lowtec takes over the B side on "LOW" which sees the Worksop boss work his typical magic on this dusted down and loopy disco infused groove geared for mellower summertime moments.
