Review: Some two years on from the release of his last EP of all original music, 2019's Nanny in Leningrad, MixCult records founder Kirill Matveev finally returns to action. He eases us in gently via the hypnotic, dubbed-out early morning tech-house warmth of 'Yes You Can (Take a Picture With Me)', before staring towards space on the sci-fi techno haziness of 'Slam Program 1995 Tribute' (accurately titled in some ways, as it sounds a little like a very early British tech-house record). Over on the flip he wraps gaseous, ambient-esque pads and gentle melodies around a chunky beat on 'Sakura Tree (Vox Mix)', while 'Facade Lands' is an ultra-deep, early morning workout rich in bleeping electronics, sustained chords and hushed tech-house beats.
