Review: Jay Glass Dubs' Resurgence marks a bold step into experimental dub, filled with atmospheric depth and hypnotic rhythms. Released on Sundial, the six-track LP showcases his unique approach, blending dub with hints of post-rock, ambient and dreampop influences. Tracks like 'Hyperacousis (for Miles)' and 'Laguna' dive deep into expansive soundscapes, where echoing basslines and swirling effects create an otherworldly experience. Review: First released as a six-track, digital-only EP in the summer of 2023, Jay Glass Dubs' DJ Humble makes its bow on CD in freshly expanded form. The release was considered quite unusual on its initial release, moving away from the fractured electronica and opaque experimental dub recordings of his earlier years towards a more intense and energetic sound inspired by the formative years of breakbeat hardcore and jungle. Of course, the sometime Berceuse Heroique artist's experimental instincts still hold sway, leading to such dystopian - but admittedly thrilling moments as 'Seconds Away', where hectic beats are smothered in layers of melodic electronics and weird noises, the fiendishly avant-garde d&b insanity of 'Packing Someone Else's Fire', and the hallucinatory jungle-IDM fusion of 'Wing It'.

Review: DFA Records and Bokeh Versions have teamed up for a joint release here that offers up some mad reworking of "Guerilla Toss" by Greece-based producer Dimitris Papadatos, aka Jay Glass Dubs. Up first, the "Skull Dub" is a dark, echoing affair filled with dread and ominous drum rolls. The "String Dub" is much more fulsome, with vast caverns of bass, water droplets and spooky reverb expanding all around you before the TV Do Dub is a little more playful and airy, but still with a subtle sense of tension running through the muted harmonica and drifting vocal sounds. "Can I Get The Real Dub" closes out in fat bottomed fashion.
