Review: Los Angeles duo Introverted Funk comprises multi-instrumentalist Daniel Valle and vocalist Veronica Rosa, and this is their superb debut on wax. On the A-side, 'Tell You' delivers warm vintage disco-funk that was recorded to analogue tape with lush gear from mainstays like Juno, KORG, ARP and Rhodes, and in doing so, they evoke the likes of Rod Temperton. It's a heartfelt groove about finding connection and embracing love. Flip it over and 'Fan Out' bursts with mad catchy energy, funky basslines and crystal clear vocals with plenty of classic dancefloor vibes reminiscent of Heatwave and Chic. Both tracks are ageless gems for loved-up sessions.
