Tu Sei Il Maestro Dell'Eterno Ritorno
Review: After first teaming up with Uzuri back in 2016, Italian producer Giorgio Luceri finally makes a return with a second part of his Space Fire Truth series. There seems to be a concept lingering in the presentation of the music, but let's focus on the sounds themselves. "Collinder 69 Funk" is an effervescent burst of uplifting energy with a groove that feels housey underneath plush Detroit techno synths. "The Early Morning Ouroboros" switches things up with a pacey, chopped up broken beat trip peppered with soulful vocals and instrumentation. "Kepler 16b" is a moodier affair that lets the techno side of Luceri's sound bleed through, and then "Tu Sei Il Maestro Dell'Eterno Ritorno" finishes the record off on a stirring, romantic tip with swooning strings aplenty.

Silence Of The Sunset (balearic mix)
Review: Given his association with Jamal Moss's Mathematics Recordings imprint, you'd expect this EP from Italian producer Giorgio Luceri to be packed full of robust, acid-tinged fare and picturesque electronic mood-scapes. That's exactly what he delivers. The "Balearic Mix" of "Silence of the Sunset" is particularly striking, with sun-kissed synths and dreamy melodies riding a skittish drum machine groove. It's almost rush inducing in its's intense beauty and effortless positivity. The beatless "Aurrora" is similarly beautiful. Elsewhere, there's some murky rave revivalism in the shape of the out-there, acid-flecked "Cheetah", while "Panther" impresses with its heavtweight analogue electronics, hoover bass and drifting chords.

Your Eyes & The Sea
Liger (Gene Hunt 326 US remix)
Review: If it's soaring, soulful analogue house you're after, then look no further than the latest missive from Mathematics devotee Giorgio Luceri. Heading over to the Saft stable for more of that ever-loving Larry Heard style, Luceri is on stellar form as he coos out a message of spirituality and electronic escapism. "Liger" is a slow-release affair that lets the strings creep in gently behind a steady tick of the drum machine and a steadfast bassline, while "Your Eyes & The Sea" heads into a blissful vat of mellow chords and spaced out claps. Gene Hunt isn't afraid to rough things up a little with his remix of "Liger" though, deploying a tougher beat through which he weaves the melodic content of the original.

Voices In My Head
Review: Having forged a name for himself with appearances on On The Prowl and Seven Music, Italian artist Giorgio Luceri makes the leap to the big bad album for none other than Jamal Moss' revered Mathematics, and it's a glorious statement of intent that champions all the principles the label holds dear in magnificent form, from cosmically aligned synth patterns to rigid box beats of the highest calibre. "Meditation" sports a fine square wave undercarriage while the drums stand back in deference, while "Anemone" lilts lasciviously in a Balearic-cum-Bedouin beatdown. "Twin Ears 6D22" meanwhile delivers a more immediate kind of house music satisfaction, whereas "Sconosciuto" heads into more emotive territory with illustrious piano work taking precedence over everything else. With a rich spread of ideas and magnificent production values, Luceri has completely nailed the challenge of tackling your first album and done the label proud in the process.

Blame It EP

Blame It (Dream vocal)
Blame It (6D22 Beats)
Blame It (Dubbyman remix)
Review: Italian producer Giorgio Luceri has released a reliable stream of records since 2011, developing relationships with labels like Seven Music and Hieroglyphic Being's Mathematics. For this Blame It EP he points the finger at Spanish label Bucketround and provides a three-track single featuring a remix from Dubbyman. Vocals crossed between Romanthony and George Michael dominate the title-track, while all chords and atmospheres are stripped from the 6D22 Beats version, offering a beefy tool for the adventurous DJ. After two previous releases for the label Dubbyman appears in remix form supplying a sultry remix best listened to in the accompaniment of summer a cool summer breeze.
