Review: Here's something to get excited about: a first missive from the My Love Is Underground camp for three long years. In an attempt to make up for lost time, boss Jeremy Underground has gathered together seven fresh tracks, and stretched them across two weighty slabs of wax. As usual, the featured deep house cuts tend towards the classic and U.S-inspired, variously doffing a cap to New Jersey, New York and Chicago, via ear-pleasing organ riffs (see DJ Steaw's excellent "East Orange"), soulful vocal snippets (Teflon Dons), clear boompty influences (Tristan Da Cunha's Salt 'n' Pepa-sampling "Hit Up On This"), and breezy disco (Ebony Cuts). Franck Roger's contribution, "For Me", is also one of his sleaziest, basement-friendly tracks to date.

Review: Veteran of the Parisian scene Franck Roger is back at it on his Home Invasion imprint, delivering some bold and stylistic house music. On the A side of the label's 20th release we've got the tough and rolling Windy City influence of "Do What You Gotta Do" (feat Mandel Turner) with its infectious vocal hooks and hands in the air stabs - that the label best described themselves as reminscinent of old Prescription Records or Derrick Carter. On the flip, Roger goes deep with the sexy, emotive and fittingly titled "The Deep" bringing you back to the good old days of the French deep house scene which was run back in the day by DJ Deep, Julien Jabre and Playin' 4 the City.

"Love Is What We Need" is a dreamy strutter with a plucked synth bass, crisp beats and rippling chords that rise with Chanderesque charm while "Do It My Way" slips into something more comfortable with its sultry subtly filtered loop and insistent-yet-unhurried fluid sense of movement. Review: The French deep house master, Franck Roger, continues the string of outstanding releases on his Earthrumental series with this double a-sided bomb. "Circles" has a deep techy and soulful edge that fans of Karizma, Ferrer and Chandler will undoubtedly fawn over. "The Hills", on the flip, is another rocking deep instrumental with hypnotic key grooves, trippy effects and that soulful edge that Franck does so well. This tune is getting serious attention from Henrik Schwarz, Ame and Dixon.

Review: Chugging upbeat percussive intro with a touch of acid, sirens and dark laughter that slides into a big bass-driven funk-edged affair. Quite a change from his recent Seasons releases. The middle smoothes out a bit with some fine synth work and then moves back into a funky acid thing for the finish. B-side opens with a deep, jazzy grinder with a broken beat feel. Killer keys, slick vibes and infectious rhythm. Final track is a stripped down percussion and beats take on the A-side.

Review: Having previously used the Body 'N' Deep label as a vehicle for his own productions, main man Jovonn has decided to mix things up a little. "BND Projects Volume 1" gathers together a white-hot selection of deep and soulful jams from some of the long-serving American producer's friends and contemporaries. French legend Franck Roger steps up first with the warehouse-ready stabs, bumping drums, foreboding synth-bass and spaced-out vocal samples of "Get Ready", before Good Vibrations Music founder Sean McCabe wraps New Jersey style organ riffs around chunky drums, sparkling solos and rich chords on "Freak It". Over on side B heavyweight Delano Smith delivers some superb, string-laden Motor City deep house, while Monocue delivers the wonderfully deep, hypnotic and driving "Borrowed Days".

It is Santos who serves up the originals starting with 'Where Is The Clubbing?' which has depth but also drive - rich pads swirl about over the supple kicks and clipped vocals bring the soulful little hooks. French maestro Franck Roger remixes with a little more swing and a stripped-back, late-night feel that is sprinkled with cosmic dust. On the flip, 'Smooth Jazz' is just that over cuddly beats as star-gazing piano tinkles and sombre sax notes bring real class.
