Review: Here's something to get excited about: a first missive from the My Love Is Underground camp for three long years. In an attempt to make up for lost time, boss Jeremy Underground has gathered together seven fresh tracks, and stretched them across two weighty slabs of wax. As usual, the featured deep house cuts tend towards the classic and U.S-inspired, variously doffing a cap to New Jersey, New York and Chicago, via ear-pleasing organ riffs (see DJ Steaw's excellent "East Orange"), soulful vocal snippets (Teflon Dons), clear boompty influences (Tristan Da Cunha's Salt 'n' Pepa-sampling "Hit Up On This"), and breezy disco (Ebony Cuts). Franck Roger's contribution, "For Me", is also one of his sleaziest, basement-friendly tracks to date.

Review: The Politics of Dancing crew are launching a brand new venture here, instigating some choice collaborative action with their nearest and dearest, jammed out and cut to wax for your listening and spinning pleasure. Of course it figures that they'd start this project close to home, bringing in some of their Parisian brethren for two assured cuts of heads down, straight up house music. Djebali lends a hand on the A side, with a spread of swirling pad tones drifting around the sturdy drums, while Franck Roger brings a more flirtatious sound to the B side with playful diva samples and crafty synth lines played out in his inimitable style.

Review: Parisian producer Franck Roger lands on Nu Groove with 'Cosmic Tree' EP, a four-track outing of deep house perfectly at home on the legendary NYC label. Still going strong almost 35 years after its inception, it's nice to see the label is still welcoming fresh talent: Roger delivers a sultry, sauna-dunked steam on 'Part Of My Soul', one of the most contented-sounding house tracks we've heard in a while, thanks in part to the vocal stylings of Rimarkable; then there's the more repetitious ardour of 'Radik'Hall', 'Cosmic Funk' and 'The Music', all of which revel in the purely seductive potentialities of deep house production. Review: Esteemed French producer Franck Roger lands on the Duck It label for the first time here. It is an imprint dear to him because of his Algerian originals and he cooks up a nice warm house vibe as a result. 'Pumpkin' is all balmy pads and trippy synth leads with a hint of Pepe Bradock. The tune is chunky and deep, with nice deft vocal sounds up top to bring the soul. RSlane remixes with a more contemporary and bumping tech house sound but still keeps plenty of the stylish cosmic melody in place. A tidy two tracker for sure.

Review: Veteran of the Parisian scene Franck Roger is back at it on his Home Invasion imprint, delivering some bold and stylistic house music. On the A side of the label's 20th release we've got the tough and rolling Windy City influence of "Do What You Gotta Do" (feat Mandel Turner) with its infectious vocal hooks and hands in the air stabs - that the label best described themselves as reminscinent of old Prescription Records or Derrick Carter. On the flip, Roger goes deep with the sexy, emotive and fittingly titled "The Deep" bringing you back to the good old days of the French deep house scene which was run back in the day by DJ Deep, Julien Jabre and Playin' 4 the City.

"Love Is What We Need" is a dreamy strutter with a plucked synth bass, crisp beats and rippling chords that rise with Chanderesque charm while "Do It My Way" slips into something more comfortable with its sultry subtly filtered loop and insistent-yet-unhurried fluid sense of movement. Review: French legend Franck Roger is back at it again on his own Home Invasion imprint for its fourteenth edition. It's the kind of timeless and emotive deep house again that you'd expect of the man as always, starting out with the brooding and dubby late night jam "Floating" while "No Rush" is more pumping and aimed squarely at the peak hour of a Parisian dancefloor with it's tough rhythms and buzzing/hypnotic synths. On the flip, the EP dives a lot deeper, like on the very stylish "Walking Papers" which features some wonderful vocals courtesy of Mandel Turner and finally "7 Sins" where some broken beats get introduced to the mix over yet more lush and hypnotic synth chords: it calls to mind his earlier works back in the day on Straight Up Recordings.

Review: Franck Roger, the undisputed king of the Paris house scene, returns on his Home Invasion label for a solo appearance aimed at the dancefloor. "In The Clouds", as the name suggests, is a docile deep house tune with a gorgeous backdrop of dreamy synth waves, while "Yabba" is a little more mechanical and minimal-edged. "To Discover" wraps up this tidy EP with a shuffling beat twist, Zelda-like harmonics, and an altogether uplifting groove.

Review: Much credit should be given to deep house veteran Franck Roger, who continues to hit the heights fourteen years after making his debut. The Drift is the Frenchman's latest workout on the Home Invasion label he launched in 2013, and neatly touches on a variety of styles. There's a sweaty, bumpin', late night feel about opener "The Drift", which sits somewhere between Inner City era warehouse fare, the energetic darkness of Sound Factory era Vasquez, and Roger's own hazy deep house. "Why" is an altogether dustier, tracky affair, but retains the retro-futurist feel of the more forthright A-side, while "Bankal" sounds like a cross between vintage Chez Damier and Roger's frequently explored aquatic deep house sound.

Review: New Franck Roger productions on Home Invasion! You know the drill! Choice deep house action from the Paris producer arriving with a handstamped print! Four tracks this time, and is Franck paying homage to Todd Terry on lead track "Toddify"? The samples would suggest so. "Take Me Home" meanwhile is a slinky number with no small amount of sass to its groove and some killer key swerves and both "Freeze" and "Don't" demonstrate that Roger can lay down a tough house groove when the mood takes him. One of those 12"s you'll put in the box and find plenty of reasons to keep it there week after week.

Review: France's deep house maestro Franck Roger drops another bunch of choice cuts on his very own Home Invasion outlet! Three tracks, as per usual, and each of them murderous on the dancefloor. Title track "Vibrayshun" is swinging and clap-driven, funky and effective; "Immersion" is deeper and dustier; while "Intruders" might well be the hidden gem of the treasure, where intricate percussion patters sway and percolate around swells of low-end and delay. Deadly floor weapons from the Mr. Roger!

Review: Over the years, Franck Roger has provided DJs with a lot of expansive, soul-flecked material. He made his name with a brand of deep house that made extensive use of live instrumentation, warm chords and heady melodies. His Home Invasion series, of which is the fourth installment, offers something entirely different: hypnotic and occasionally robust DJ tools designed with late night dancefloors in mind. Of course, there's still plenty of toasty warmth to be found - see the rolling "Deep Theory" and dubby, organ-flecked "Rebound" - but the most striking cuts are those which go tougher and deeper in search of locked-in, groove-heavy thrills (see "Nebula" and "Balance").

Review: Deep house's most prolific producer returns - not that he ever went away, mind - with another subterranean excursion on his own Real Tone imprint. It's pretty much what you'd expect from Roger; sumptuous grooves, busy percussion, nagging vocal hooks and some choice chord progressions. Alongside the epic original version of "Let's Get Down", you get a beatsy dub and an excellent, ultra hypnotic DJ tool - superb for those who like to get busy in the mix. There's also a rather tasty Sascha Dive remix, which benefits from snappy snares, a relentless synth bassline and even more spun-out vocal tweakery.
