  2. Transcendental Access Point (6:17)
  3. So Much Love To Give (5:52)
Review: There's much to enjoy on Eris Drew's first EP of 2020, not least the infectious cheekiness and retro-futurist flavour of title track "Fluids Of Emotion". Underpinned by a scratch-happy, hip-house style breakbeat, the cut sees the Chicago-based DJ/producer make great use of fizzing, sunrise-ready electronic motifs, quirky spoken word snippets, and an analogue bassline so fat and sizable it probably has its own postcode. Elsewhere, "Transcendental Access Point" is a warm, loose and undeniably sun-kissed chunk of rush-inducing dancefloor pyschedelia and "So Much Love To Give" is another weighty, funky and crunchy breakbeat excursion.

Review: The ever-charitable Needs project continues apace with another stunning cast of characters offering up their dancefloor creations to help a good cause - the environmentally-focused Cool Earth NGO. On this 12", Eris Drew delivers the uplifting breakbeat celebration of "See You In Snow", while Edward takes things deeper with the tripped out minimal house groove of "Mind Loop". D. Tiffany brings a particularly crafty approach to her own drum funk science on "Sun Trip" and Henry Hyde cools things down with the mellow, new age 2 step stylings of "Every Day's A Good Day For A Swim."

  5. Octo Octa - "Beam Me Up" (Please take Me Away mix) (6:25)
Review: Before heading out on tour together earlier in the year, Eris Drew and Octo Octa dreamt up the idea of a joint release. Happily, Naive was only too happy to oblige. Drew handles the A-side, serving up two versions of bustling, Clavinet-sporting, breakbeat-driven joy "Hold Me" (the effervescent "T4T Embrace Mix" and a jaunty DJ tool style "Synth-a-pella") and the organ-laced deep breakbeat shuffle of "Trans Love Vibration". Over on Side B, HNYTRX and 100% Silk alumnus Octo Octa takes over, joining the dots between rave-era UK house and saucer-eyed early '90s U.S garage dubs on "Beam Me Up (To The Goddess Mix)", before re-imagining the track as a twinkling fusion of dream house bliss and bustling breakbeats on the arguably superior "Please Take Me Away Mix".
