Minimal/Tech House
  1. Playdem (7:13)
  2. Shimmering (vinyl Only) (7:55)
Review: With such a heavyweight trio of tech-house talents involved, you'd expect this surprise studio hook-up between Enzo Siragusa, Archie Hamilton and Subb-An to be rather good. Predictably, both tracks hit the spot. A-side "Playdem" hits all the right notes, with the experienced threesome wrapping creepy chords, jaunty piano motifs and carefully chosen spoken word snippets around a fireside-warm bassline and snappy, handclap-heavy machine drums. The fun continues on flipside "Shimmering", a ludicrously loose and bass-heavy roller blessed with deep and trippy electronics and just the right of late night funk. Really, though, it's the weightiness of the sub-bass that hits home hardest.

Techno
  1. Dangerman (8:13)
  2. Lifted Spirits (6:21)
  3. Apache (8:04)
Review: Enzo Siragusa is no stranger to collaboration, having previously released studio hook-ups with the likes of Alexkid, Subb-An, Nima Gorji, Archie Hamilton and Seb Zito. Here German veteran Martin Buttrich joins the London-based FUSE regular for a tasty three-track hoedown. They hit the ground running on A-side "Dangerman", a formidably funk-fuelled chunk of bouncy tech-house rich in trippy minimalist vocal samples and undulating TB-303 bass. Flip the record and you're greeted with "Lifted Spirits", where meandering choral style vocals and razor-sharp acid lines dance across a foreboding groove, before Siragusa and Buttrich round off proceedings with the heavy, feverish Afro-house/tech-house fusion of fine EP closer "Apache". Get on it (the record, we mean).

Minimal/Tech House
  1. Shades Of Riddim (7:10)
  2. Lil Ley (5:54)
  3. Blue Notes (7:16)
Review: Rawax turn their attention to Fuse London head honcho Enzo Siragusa and his right hand man Seb Zito for some finely tuned minimal tech house on offer here. On the A side we have got "Shades Of Riddim" which is the usual rolling, swing fuelled and hypnotic business you can expect from the pair and is highly reliable dancefloor fodder. On the flip "Lil Ley" adds more power into the groove plus those cheery and hypnotic keys add a nice touch: this is in the same vein as iO Mulen or Zendid. Finally things take a deeper turn on "Blue Notes" but there are still some emotive, futuristic and bumpy elements present, as much as the previous tracks.
