Review: Arriving just a year after the sprawling 20-track shotgun sonics of their aptly titled yet absurd return to form Concept Album, Chicago's hate-to-love punk iconoclasts Dwarves decide to Keep It Reel with a slab of wax complete with 7 brand new cuts of offensive, head caving, tongue-firmly-in-cheek, yet more catchy than you care to admit fuck-punk, while also offering up two remixes as well as the standout track 'Parasite' from last year's full-length. Seemingly making up for lost time after the half-decade gap between Concept Album and it's 2018 predecessor Take Back The Night, we're more than happy to have Dwarves spraying more ignorant prolific punk n' roll all over our eager faces.

Review: Returning with their first full-length since 2018's Take Back The Night, Chicago punk provocateurs Dwarves are back and brimming to unleash another overwhelmingly absurd, lyrically transgressive, purposefully envelope-pushing batch of "fuck you" music. Aptly titled Concept Album, and reliably featuring a naked woman on the front cover, the 20-track stomper moves with the pace of a highlight reel, careening through every sonic avenue the band has stumbled down across their multiple decades-spanning tenure, from sugar rush pop-punk to fuzzed-out garage rock to "bite the curb" hardcore, and that's without even touching the elements of hip-hop and thrash metal thrown in for shits and giggles. On their eleventh LP of original material, the concept of Concept Album is simple: Dwarves have still got it where it counts, and that's everywhere.
