Review: 12 months on from his last disco-fired edit outing, Route 8 once again dons the DJ Ciderman alias to lay down some more party-starting, peak-time workouts. He begins with "You're Losing Me", a chunky, housed-up version of an old funk-soul killer, before charging off on a solo-heavy disco-funk revision trip via the rising horns, swirling strings and heavy house grooves of "Club For Lonely Heart". The peak-time pressure continues on the flipside, first via the rubbery bass guitar-heavy brilliance of "Get Loose", before rounding off a fine EP of heavyweight reworks via the synth-laden Afro-disco breeziness of killer closer "Good Friend G". As the old saying goes, this is all killer and no filler.
