Review: Barcelona-based artist Cardopusher makes his bow on Bloody Mary's Dame-Music, serving up "'Conformity Kills' - an ode to all those who go against the norm" with the label head. In cahoots they are double trouble; psychedelic 303 workouts, ragged rhythms, frazzled synths and bowel-bothering bass are constant throughout. If you're looking for unrelenting workouts that will turbocharge your set, look no further. This is an EP full of hard-hitting, acidic EBM weapons.

The Melting Point EP Vol 3
  1. Bloody Mary - "Acetic" (6:28)
  2. Splice - "Tactile" (6:40)
  3. Thomas P Heckmann - "The Space Between" (9:50)
Review: Following up appearances by veterans such as Josh Wink, Hardfloor and Acid Rain (Milton Bradley), Dame Music takes no prisoners on the third installment of The Melting Pot, delivering another series of unrepentant 303 ultraviolence. Label chief Bloody Mary steps up to deliver the punishing and disorienting psychedelia of "Acetic" awash in gliding resonance from that little silver box plus clattering 909 mayhem. Splice then lunges straight for the jugular on "Tactile", a frantic session where the abrasive overdrive of the kick will have you begging for mercy. Finally, the legend Thomas P. Heckmann returns since his appearance on the series' first episode - he delivers the seething restrained fury of "The Space Between".

The Melting Point EP Vol 2
  1. Hardfloor - "Thisishowwedo" (6:45)
  2. Josh Wink - "Dame Deep" (6:30)
  3. Alien Rain - "Contact" (5:24)
  4. Bloody Mary - "Mono" (5:35)
Review: Bloody Mary's Dame Music imprint has long been a reliable source of forthright peak-time fare. There's naturally more to be found on The Melting Point Volume 2, a belated follow-up to a mini-compilation released at the tail end of 2017. Remarkably, the A-side boasts cuts from two heavy-hitters of the 1990s. Hardfloor kick things off with a typically boisterous, mind-altering acid workout in their inimitable style ("Thisishowwedo"), while Josh Wink wraps undulating TB-303 lines around beautiful melodies and dreamy pads on the luscious "Dame Deep". Over on the flipside Alien Rain slams down a ridiculously heavy chunk of foreboding acid techno ("Contact"), before Bloody Mary fittingly rounds things off via the classic Chicago acid-jack of "Mono".
