The PEG has full CV control of envelope shape, skew, and ping (clock) division/multiplication, as well as a plethora of triggering and cycling options (AD, AR, quantization, cycle), and a tap tempo button for each channel.

Scaling/shifting:
- Scale knob is an attenuating inverter for main envelope output (Maximum 0V to +10V non-inverted, and Minimum -10V to 0V inverted).
- Bi-polar button centers main envelope output around 0V (-5V to +5V output)
- "+5V ENV" jack is a non-scaling output that always produces a 0V to +5V envelope, regardless of Scale and Bi-polar settings
- "OR" jack outputs an analog OR of the two scaled envelope curves. This outputs the highest value from either envelope at any given moment, taking into account the Scale and Bi-polar controls.

Gate outputs:
- End-of-Rise (EOR) gate output goes high when envelope finishes a rise portion, and goes low when envelope begins a rise portion
- End-of-Fall (EOF) gate output goes high when envelope finishes a fall portion, and goes low when envelope begins a fall portion
- Jumper for each channel changes EOR output to a Half-Rise gate output. The Half-Rise jack goes high when 50% of the time of the rise portion has elapsed, and goes low after 50% of the time of the fall portion. Using the Skew parameter, this jack provides a variable phase gate output useful for quadrature effects and clock phase shifting and trigger delay effects. Factory setting is EOR for red channel, Half-Rise for blue channel.

Triggering/cycling:
- Cycle button for each channel forces envelope to self-cycle in sync with the ping clock (LFO mode). Button lights up when in cycle mode.
- "T" jack toggles the state of both channels' Cycle button when a gate is applied
- "QNT" jack for each channel triggers an envelope to start at the next quantized beat, with respect to the divided/multiplied ping clock. Holding a gate high on this jack causes the envelope to repeat.
- "Async" jack for each channel causes an envelope to output immediately (asynchronously). Holding a gate high results in an AR envelope (rise-sustain-fall). If cycle mode is enabled, the envelope will continue to cycle at this new phase with respect to the ping clock. Phase can be reset to being in sync with the ping clock by pressing the cycle button or applying a pulse to the QNT jack.

CV input jacks:
- CV control of Ping Div/Mult, Skew, and Curve using the CV jacks. Respective knobs set the center offset for the applied CV
- CV of 0-10V will modulate the parameter's full range However, a 0-5V CV will modulate the parameter within a very useful range.

A plethora of red and blue LEDs (14) show exactly what each channel and output jack is doing: red = negative voltage, blue = positive.

Each channel is independent and has an input jack, output jack, a knob for attenuating/inverting (Scale), and a knob for applying positive or negative DC offset (Shift).

Four jacks on the bottom combine the four channels in different ways. Mix is a straight mix of all four shifted inputs, Switched Mix is a mix of all channels that have nothing plugged into the OUT jack, Positive Slice is the sum of all output voltages greater than zero volts, and Negative Slice is the sum of all negative voltages.

By Shifting some channels positive and some negative, the + Slice and - Slice jacks can be used as sub-mix outputs. Also, by running a slow triangle wave into one channel, the remaining channels can be made to "dirty pan" between the Slice jacks: the signals are half-wave rectified as they span between both outputs.

Channels 1+2 and 3+4 are normalized together on the input jacks, which is handy for splitting a signal into two or more altered forms. Jumpers on the back allow you to disable this normalization.

Each channel also has a jumper to make the Scale knob unipolar (no inverting, attenuate only). This is useful for mixing audio instead of CV. A breakout header allows for padding of the signal (useful for fine-tuning a precise voltage such as 1V/oct).

Input and Output headers for connecting to QCD, QPLFO, VCA Matrix, or other manufacturer's modules such as Toppobrillo Mixiplexer or Circuit Abbey Intermix.

A gorgeous ring of colored lights displays the frequency of each filter, as well as the levels and current scale selection(s).

At a glance, the SMR works like a normal six-band graphic EQ: six frequency band-pass filters are mixed together using sliders. Resonance/Q is variable, which changes the "ringy-ness" or width of the bands.

But here's where comparison stops. The frequency of each channel is treated like a note in a scale, and the six bands form a chord. Spin the Rotate knob and the "notes" circle around the scale, rotating back to the bottom once they've reached the top. Adjust Spread and the distance (interval) between each note changes. Triggers for up/down motion, CV inputs for sequencing and scale selection allow for flexible control with external modules. Morph, which automatically cross-fades between frequencies, together with variable Slew allows rhythmic clocks drive the SMR as a variable-speed evolving resonant filter.

At maximum Resonance/Q, the SMR can be struck like a gong or marimba by inputting clocks or triggers. The frequency of each channel is quantized to a scale: beautiful chords, ethereal tones and eerie ambiance flows easily. With lower resonance, the SMR can pull out particular frequency bands, and sweep these across the spectrum.

Two 1V/octave Frequency jacks allow for tracking even and/or odd bands and creating floating melodies over evolving chord bases, or complex percussive membrane sounds.

Save your settings into one of six storage banks, and recall on the fly. On startup, the SMR instantly jumps to the last saved settings. The color scheme of the lights can be adjusted, so if you prefer all white lights on your modular, you can have that (or all red, or rainbows, pastels, etc..)!

Advanced features:
- Program your own scale. The frequency of each of the 20 notes can be assigned by setting the octave, the semi-tone, and coarse and fine micro-tone. Up to 11 scales can be saved permanently in the user bank
- Adjust color scheme of the LEDs. Pick a pre-programmed color scheme or create your own using the sliders to set Red/Green/Blue values. Custom color schemes can be saved permanently
- Save your settings in one of six parameter banks. Note position, scale and bank selection, Q value, Lock settings and color scheme can be saved and recalled on the fly. On startup, the SMR loads settings from the last saved bank.
- Optional alternative filter type for a more exponential decay when plucked and different timbral qualities. Freq jacks no longer track 1V/oct in this mode.
- Slider LEDs can be assigned to display level for each channel (combination of slider position and CV on the jack), or clipping for each channel.

Two channel echo effect module based on the popular Princeton PT-2399 chip
Notes: The recently popular Princeton delay chip PT2399 is the heart of this delay as well yet this module houses two individual delay units with their own, open feedback loops, low- and high frequency cut in the feedback and voltage control of delay time.

Things get interesting by normalizations of delay A to B and the simple and intuitive routing of the delays and feedbacks.

The delay time is set with the Rate potentiometer and with a control voltage. The modulation input IN CV has a bi-polar attenuator (Rate CV). The sensitivity of the modulation input can be multiplied by ten with the NORM / x10 switch.

Feedback: In the, usually closed, feedback loop of each delay two filters are integrated for dampening the highs and lows of the echo. These LO CUT and HI CUT filters a have a slope of 6dB and do not feature voltage control.

The feedback path can be opened when desired, for that task two outputs and one input are available: FLT FB OUT emits the filtered feedback signal while FB OUT carries the non-filtered signal. The feedback signal can now be processed and injected back to the delay via the FB IN socket. The feedback amount and polarity are set with the according bi-polar attenuator i.e. positive and negative feedbacks are possible.

Routing of the delays and feedback paths is altered in the ROUTE section. The delays can be routed either in parallel (as two totally independent delays) or in series. The feedback paths are routed either in usual parallel fashion or crosswise, which in combination with the positive / negative feedbacks can lead to really interesting results like strange modulated reverberated space.

The audio inputs and CV inputs of A unit are normalized to the B unit.

Because the module is not intended to be a usual delay but more an experimental tool, e.g. for adding a short reverb tail to sounds, there is no dry/wet control. The OUT socket always emits 100% wet material.

Notes: The ADSR envelope from the Japanese 100m system is well-known for its percussivity and the enormous punch. ACL gives us three of them in one single Eurorack module, the Envelope X3.

Sometimes an envelope generator doesn't have to be function-ladden, but just reliable, solid and good. This is what ACL achieves with the Envelope X3 module. The technical quality originates in precision components, as used in measuring instruments for instance, in order to keep the parameters exact, always the same and to keep you happy.

Three identical, classic Attack-Decay-Sustain-Release envelopes are integrated; function-wise rather simple with a gate input and one positive and one inverted envelope output each. The gate inputs are normalized (1 -> 2 -and 1 -> 3; with input 1 as master) which minimizes the amount of patch cords. Normalizations can be disrupted by patching a cable.

Notes: The ACL Gate Mixer is a 4 channel Audio signal mixer, consisting two 2-in-1 mixers (1+2 & 3+4), whose outputs are summed together to the master output. All 4 channels can be switched ON/OFF via switches and/or gate or even CV signals.

Furthermore there is an AUX-input, which is routed unity gain (no attenuator) to the SUM. The logic of switching the signals on and off can be negated (inverted), meaning a high control signal could switch the signal on (gate=on) - or the opposite behaviour; a high control signal could switch the signal off (gate=mute).

So you can always switch the channels on and off using the switch, by just flipping the channel's state (on or off). No disturbing clicks or glitches should be heard when switching an audio input signal on and off due to a fast "slew ramping" takes place in the circuit, controlling the amplitude of the signal when switched on and off.

Each Channel has a LED which is lighting up, when the channel is switched on.

Synth module for converting stereo material into M/S format - 10HP
Notes: The ACL M/S Matrix module is able to deconstruct a conventional stereo signal, consisting of a left and a right channel, into its mid and side signals. The other way round it can convert a M/S stereo signal to L/R stereo.

For that reason the module has four bi-directional sockets which carry the left, right, mid and side signals and are either inputs or outputs, depending on the mode of conversion.

When you play with the individual levels of left and right, classic panning happens. Something different happens with M/S: A change of the Side signal's level will change the stereo width while changing the Mid signal's amplitude will make the centre more or less present but the side signal will remain unchanged!

For instance turning up the S signal from zero to max will continuously convert a centre mono signal into a wide stereo signal.

The module offers individual level control for each stereo channel which can be controlled with potentiometers and voltages

Besides the aforementioned different compression of mid and side you might as well process stereophonic reverb and change the stereo width of the reverb tail.

Notes: The QLFO is a quadrature sinewave LFO featuring voltage control of frequency. Due to a wider range of frequency and a 1V/octave input it can be used as a sinewave oscillator as well.

The AQA Elektrix Qudrature LFO's rate is determined by the Rate potentiometer and the three position switch (slow, mid, fast). Two CV inputs allow for external control - one has a fixed characteristic of one volt per octave and the other is equipped with a polarizer for setting modulation intensity and polarity.

Four sine waves are available simultaneously, each is 90 degree phase shifted. To be correct you have to say a sine, a cosine and their inverted counterparts are generated.

Analog oscillator with ramp-core design, featuring rising/falling sawtooth, pulse, triangle & sine waveshape outputs
Notes: The ACL Variable Sync VCO consists of one ramp core oscillator with several wave shaper sub-circuits, all having that classical vintage tone, loved by a lot of musicians and sound-synthesists.

The VCO is capable of delivering that without sacrificing tracking precision and low temperature drift.

Available waveshapes are saw, inverted saw, triangle, sine and PW rectangle, which uses the saw wave from the waveshaper as a carrier for the PWM. It can be varied by CV and manually within a range from 0 percent to almost 100 percent.

The possibility to play VCO in low, middle and high modes, together with the 10 turn precision Tune pot results in a very convenient "on the fly" way of tuning the module. Its core can be frequency modulated exponentially from two inputs, both CV controlled. When fully open the input attenuators are calibrated for 1 V/Oct. There is one more input - for linear modulation with manual amount control, AC coupled and configured like differentiator. In this way it is sure no detuning caused by DC, will take place when modulation signal is presented at the FM Input, but only frequency modulation, centred around the already played tone.

Syncing the core to outside source makes a whole lot of difference, when there is the additional option to vary continuously by CV and manually the threshold of synchronization from no sync, soft sync and hard sync. This input is configured as attenuverter for even more flexibility. Note when the Threshold pot is fully CW there will be no sound output anymore. The reference wave source for the soft sync is the saw from the oscillator. Sync input itself reacts to every repeatable waveform with amplitude higher than 1.2 Vpp.

Notes: The ACL VC Panning Amplifier is specially designed to process audio signals, dynamically positioning them in a stereo field. In case one processes mono signals, but still needs low distortion, low CV feed-trough, low noise voltage controlled attenuation and amplification, the unit can be also operated as two standalone VCAs.

The module has two exponential response VCAs with voltage and manually controlled gains, input level attenuators and overload indicators.

When no jack is connected to IN 2 and CV 2 inputs, they are normalized to IN 1 and CV 1 inputs respectively. Some of the possible configurations with this arrangement allow the gain of both channels to be controlled together with one CV, while processing different audio signals, or both channels to be operated individually, if needed. The gain balance between both VCAs and hence the panorama position of a stereo signal is manually and voltage controllable. The common gain of the two channels is also manually adjustable with a single pot.

Notes: AJH Synth have had quite a few customers asking if we can make the gain jumpers on the MiniMod VCF and VCA modules accessible from the front panel, so this 2HP module aims to address this.

The Gain Switch Multi has two switches which connect to the gain jumpers on the VCA and VCF. Switch "up" is the same as having the gain jumper in place, switch "down" is the same as removing the jumper, and gives higher gain.

Using these switches gives a similar effect to the old "headphone out to external input" trick on the original Model D but with a much wider overdrive range, particularly from the VCA.

Notes: The MiniMod CVMix-Offset-VCA is a compact 10hp wide Eurorack format module. It has been developed to offer a range of useful utilities for the MiniMod system and of course other Eurorack synthesisers.

Notes: AJH Synth have had quite a few requests for a variant of MiniMod contour generator with Release added to the envelope so that it is full ADSR but still with the characteristics of the Model D - so this is what they have done!

The DH-ADSR is exactly the same circuit as the original Model D envelope and therefore features the same contour shape and retrigger behaviour, but with the addition of a release control. However, they have also added a pulse delay and pulse stretch circuit, along with a re-trigger facility (both of these can be switched out of circuit so that the envelope is a simple ADSR unit).

The addition of pulse stretching and retrigger makes it into an LFO module and it can perform in a similar way to the EMS Synthi A and VCS3 Trapezoid generator, with a variable delay between each trigger and a variable "on" time - however it can also have full ADSR envelope on each retrigger too!

Notable Features:

- PREDELAY - This control determines how long (up to 10 seconds) the start of the envelope is held off, after a gate is received. This ability to delay the onset of the envelope is especially useful when used in conjunction with a standard ADSR: With both envelopes receiving the gate simultaneously complex envelopes can be produced as the DH-ADSR only starts running through its stages after the standard ADSR has completed. Once their outputs are mixed together in a mixer a single evolving envelope with multiple stages is produced!

- Use of the bipolar mixer found in the MINIMOD CV MIX-OFFSET-VCA module can enhance this technique even further, with more precise control over the polarity/offset of the envelope mix possible. Using the VCA of this module could allow for external modulation over either/both of the signals. It goes on...

- HOLD - When in Del-Hold mode (switch down) the HOLD control determines the gate length applied to the envelope, and thus controlling its length/overall shape. When the switch is up, normal ADSR action is produced.

- RETRIG - In this mode the DH-ADSR becomes an LFO, which can mimic the "Trapezoid" function of the vintage EMS designs. HOLD controls the length of the trapezoid shape, and PREDELAY allows for adjustable gaps between each repeat of the shape produced.
