Lost & Found EP Vol 4Kaoz Theory
Evergreen house master Kerri Chandler digs back into the vault for 'Lost & Found Vol. 4', the latest instalment in his archive series on Kaoz Theory. A genuine house pioneer, he continues to shape the genre while staying mighty true to the scene's roots. And it's fair to say there aren't many out there making more authentic house music than this veteran US producer. Vol. 4 unearths more hidden gems, including 'Since I Met You' featuring the late Michael Watford, the piano-laced joyride of 'Grandiose Garden' by Alopeke, and the brooding soul of 'Circles' featuring Natalia. Closing things out is 'The Dark One', a deep and driving cut built for the floor, with its dramatic string stabs and searing synths.

Alligator Bites Never HealInterscope
On Alligator Bites Never Heal, Doechii blends her Tampa roots with her current Los Angeles life, embodying the past, present, and future of music in under an hour. A verbal banjaxer of countless genres, she delivers an eclectic mix of sounds, striking a pose on the cover as a stone-faced albino alligator queen. The mixtape follows the success of her Eurodance-ish hit 'Alter Ego', which was praised by SZA and remixed with a verse from JT. Doechii now finesses her streak, with such energetic tracks as 'MPH' and 'ROCKET' making for remarkable, cutting summer anthems.

The Loneliest Punk (reissue)ORG Music US
The Loneliest Punk was Fatlip's debut solo album and was originally released in 2005. It now returns on vinyl as it has remained a cult classic that captures the Pharcyde MC at his most raw and introspective. Produced by J-Swift of Bizarre Ride II and Squeak E. Clean, the album fuses quirky hip-hop drum patterns with sharp lyricism and features standout collaborations with Chali 2na from Jurassic 5 and the late Shock G aka Humpty Hump. Long out of print, this latest reissue revives a hidden gem of underground hip-hop that deserves as much spotlight as it gets.

Vegyn / Air - Blue Moon Safari
CD
Blue Moon SafariWarner
British producer Joe Thornalley aka Vegyn brings forward-facing, abrupt and clippy stylishness to Air's 1998 debut album Moon Safari, in a daring reimagining crossing both audio and English Channels. Vegyn's desultory dynamics prove a toothy match for Air's comparatively amniotic French downtempo pop sound, though we *can* hear the ways in which Vegyn might've always somewhat taken after Air's production, his dream-rap sound lent well John Glacier's album released not long ago. Of course, 'Sexy Boy', 'All I Need', and 'La Femme d'Argent' are synonymous with the vibe of an era, and Vegyn's LP-remix (an increasingly popular format in 2015) honours Air's e-steamed essence, reconditioning their turn-of-the-digital vibe in jerkier retrospective tones.

Lavery - Touch Me EP
12"
Touch Me EPSub Code
UK artist Tom Lavery has been making some brilliant jungle under this alias on labels like Smooth Operator and mostly Sub Code, where he returns now. 'Some Likkle Fool' brings raga influences to tumbling bass drills and sleek breakbeats. 'Dream Of This Love' is a high-speed and raved-up workout with pitched-up vocals and maniac bass energy and 'Touch Me' is another blend of old school madness with new school production, thanks to the piano chords, euphoric pads and vocals and blistering amens. 'Batmobile' shuts down with a raw stepper.

This remarkable collection of mid-70s reggae captures legendary deejay U Roy at his most intimate and authentic, toasting exclusively for the King Attorney Hi-Fi sound system.
