On this second, more expansive sampler for his forthcoming album Spaces & Places, Kerri Chandler treats us to tracks inspired by - and by the wonders of mobile recording technology, produced inside - clubs including Dublin's District 8, Glasgow institution Sub Club, Lux of Lisbon and NYC's Output. Of course, the standard is uniformly high throughout - it's classic Chandler from start to finish - but our picks of a very fine bunch include the soulful piano house shimmer of 'Change Your Mind', the thrusting, bass-heavy pump of 'Subbie (Rattle The Subbie Mix)', the effortlessly slick and soulful 'Tenacity (Full Vocal Mix)' and the ludicrously sub-heavy snap of 'See The Light (Dub)'. To borrow an old cliche, this is very much, 'all killer, no filler'.

Souleance - Guili Guili
Fulgeance and Soulist continue their beautiful collaborative work together with a record that will tickle you pink. Literally... 'Guili' means tickle in French. Paying homage to acts like Azymuth, 'Guili' is a full adventure that never sits still as the synths and drums lead us into a carnivalesque groove laced with plenty of acid and a delicious slap bass section. 'Toro' continues this organic, live groove feeling with even bigger keys and loose limbed drums driving us to an almighty and chaotic breakdown. For added magic Art Of Tones is on side with a crucial remix. What a session.

Fff - Part Of The Order Volume 2
FFF - so F'ing good they named him thrice! Following the first part of his album last month comes this equally fiery and forthright second part. As always, the focus is on the authenticity as the Dutchman twists, turns and subverts the classic foundation motifs into something brand new. Highlights include the Detroitian keys and kicks of 'Paragon Of Reason', the slow-mo stomps and swampiness of 'Time Is Eternal' and the total hardcore abandon of the jungle techno bash-about 'Only You'. Order order!
Kloke - The Cosmik Connection Vol 2
Unknown To The Unknown continue putting their stamp on the new jungle evolution with these beautiful workouts from Aussie artist Kloke. Aligning stars left, right and centre with his second volume of his 'The Cosmik Connection' series, there's a strong sense of euphoria running throughout... 'Crystal Caves' hits hard with Soul In Motion-era Krust style beats and a beautiful dreamy vocal sample, 'All Around' brings the jazz with a nod to the likes of Justice or Blame while 'Dreams' puts the breaks right at the back of the mix so those big pads and bulbous sub swallow you whole. Last but not least we have the drum heavy 'Rhythm Equation' where it's all about those delicate splashes of keys and trippy swirls. Far out.

Ova Doce - Ovalode EP
More old newness / new oldness from the Amen Brother crew as original rave veteran Ova Doce hits hard with this four track hardcore attack. Both 'Follow For Now' and 'Alright' capture that transition from hardcore to jungle with big vocal samples, dubby bass and rattling breakbeats. 'It's A Burn' takes us even deeper into the darker transition with a bleepy build then a thundering drop into total breakbeat carnage before we climax with a brand new twist on an old school Ova Doce classic as 'Coolin On The Corner' is boosted to the max 2022 style. Ova and out!

Kayenne - Rain Fall Down (Anthony Nicholson, Marc Cotterell mixes)
NDATL continues with the return of Kayenne, Rain Fall Down originally produced by Chris Brann is the first single from Kayenne's forthcoming full length, produced by various Atlanta based producers, Kai Alce, Stefan Ringer, DJ Kemit, Salah Ananse & Chris Brann. This first offering bring forth Kayenne's sweet melody over atmospheric rhythms & pads over driving drums brought together on Anthony Nicholson's rewerk. Next an unexpected late night groover from Plastik Recordings, Marc Cotterell where his deep chords transport you deep into the dancefloor. This last mix comes from Groove Victim aka Jay Brown (whom we unfortunately lost late 2021) simple but elegantly effective very reminiscent of the early 90' MAW dubs! Once again NDATL blazes forward!

Kennedy - Dream 2
Dutch DJ/producer Kennedy returns with another installment in the Dream series, on his Dream Machine imprint no less. This second musical manifestation is the latest in a unique series of thoughts, sensations and sounds occurring from his mind, translated by machines. On the A side we have some serious hi-tech jazz in the form of 'Lifeforms' strongly taking its cues from the Underground Resistance style of Detroit techno. Over on the flip, the interstellar journey into hi-tech soul continues with the evocative 'Orbit' where a rich tapestry of visceral pads play centre stage, underpinned by syncopated 313 style rhythms. Tip!
