Etta Is On FireBeats House
Djar One sets our ears on 'Fire' with a bombastic barrage of brushy big beat, flipping two incendiary, palmitic r&b cuts. 'Etta Is On Fire' reworks James' classic 'On Fire' to dusty, pyrotechnic effect, with flash powders of big beat and sass encouraging sweet talk and affective buzz. Then there's a version of 'Hit The Road Jack', which lends to an unusual tempo for battle music, with Djar One rounding out the syncopated backbeat to a clipped limit.
A Great ChaosEMI
Ken Carson's A Great Chaos marks a creative breakthrough for the Opium affiliate, showcasing a departure from his previous work and establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in Atlanta rap. Collaborating with producers like Starboy, Outtatown, F1LTHY, and Lucian, Carson delivers a thrilling album filled with outrageous beats and vibrant vocal performances. The album's calculated sequencing and diverse production create a brisk and electrifying listening experience. Carson's vocals are upfront and raw, conveying a sense of urgency and vitality that permeates each track. From the icy duet with Destroy Lonely on 'Singapore' to the bludgeoning intensity of 'Hardcore,' Carson explores new sonic territory while staying true to his roots. Carson's audacious approach and undeniable charisma elevate the album to new heights.

Service RenderedItez Music Stylee
The revitalised singer Constantine Weir, who you may know from work with Galliano, makes a welcome return with some incredibly powerful soul. It comes on his own already interesting young label Itez and opens with the yawning and sun-kissed sounds of 'Dried Tears' with aching vocals and glistening melodies. 'Father' is an imitated song with the deep lyrics allowed plenty of room to make their mark as gentle bongos and strings company a soothing rhythm. Aspirated, smoky vocals again take centre stage on 'Lovely Lovely' which is a reminisce of a romantic tryst and 'Contradictions' then has a more breezy feel and sunny disposition. 'Seeweeyah' shuts down with a powerful monologue.

Waiting For YouBosom Ltd Portugal
Kirik is a much-loved Ukrainian house producer, and he recorded something of a career highlight last year when he collaborated with Alia Palant on the Dance For You EP on Kherson-based label Memory Remains. The partnership between producer and vocalist has extended to the High EP for PhonicHouse1 earlier this year, and now they're on Portuguese label Bosom Ltd, offering up two original tracks and two remixes from kindred spirits. 'Day Or Night' is a smouldering, shimmering slice of dance pop which should appeal to fans of Kylie as much as minimal heads who enjoy strong vocals. 'Waiting For You' comes in a variety of versions, from Armando PT's nervy club workout to the softer, sweeter attack of the original and through to the techy, metallic Irv.in remix, all of which complement each other beautifully.

Who's In Town?Running Man Norway
Running Man Records, the brainchild of DJ Benny Ben aka Ben Sims kicks off with a rare gem from the depths of 90s hip-hop. This debut release unearths a cassette demo from Tricky Tee and The White Shadow of Norway, recorded in NYC in 1991 and never before released. 'Who's In Town?' is a raw and energetic slice of classic hip-hop, showcasing Tricky Tee's signature style - rhythmic beats and socially conscious lyrics that hark back to the genre's formative years. While Tricky Tee may not be a household name, this release offers a glimpse into the vibrant underground scene of early 90s hip-hop, sure to be high up the shopping list of any dedicated head or collector seeking to delve deeper into the genre's history.

Cabin Luv Affair - Palmeiras 93 EP
12"
Palmeiras 93 EPB2 Recordings
B2 Recordings does house music deeper than most and for its 16th outing, it is Cabin Luv Affair that steps up with a fresh four-tracker. 'Behind Red Curtains' kicks off and is a nice percussive number that is loose and seductive. 'Palmeiras 93' brings some sunshine, as you might expect from a tune with such a name, and the grovers flow freely and with a happy spirit. 'Look I Told You' heads back indoors for some early evening shapeshifting with nice dusty drums and jazzy chords and 'Not Afraid About This' is a nice vocal number with some hooky pads and a classy sense of soul.

The Mingers / Timmy S - Wake Up/A Trip To London
10"
Wake Up/A Trip To LondonEndell Street
Endell Street returns with a strictly limited 10" that features some rare gems that were originally produced back in the early 00s by Timmy S. Plenty of heads will know these have been expensive to cop on the second-hand market but now they have been restored and remastered by Yossi Amoyal in collaboration with Eukahouse's Nils Hess. Deep tech house doesn't get more authentic than this with the slick, driving drums and nocturnal pads of 'Wake Up' and the more percussive darkness of 'A Trip To London' both sounding superb.
Dj Bogdan - Freakshow Parallax EP

Freakshow Parallax EPTrails
The Trails label, as is often the way in so many cases in electronic music, is the natural next step for the party crew of the same name. Having established a sound and a community, they now branch out with music from associated producers all keen to offer up their shared musical visions. First up, the label introduces friend and graphic designer Bogdan N?stase aka DJ Bogdan. Setting a fine tone from the off. the EP explores melancholy, introspection, mystery and hope, all infused with a nostalgic nod to 2000s electro-techno and synth-pop. The A-side opens with 'Shade Detector,' an energetic peak-hour anthem which is followed by the melancholic 'Freakshow Parallax' for after hours. The B-side features 'Videofreex,' a versatile party gem before closer 'Fantana Cartezian?' is a twisted minimal techno homage to Bucharest's lost history.
