You can download any of the many existing libraries of Prophet '08 sounds and they will not only sound identical, but can be enhanced with new features.
The Prophet REV2 gets its bold, punchy sound from its 2/4 pole, low-pass, resonant Curtis filters per voice. These are the same filters used not only in the Prophet '08, but in many classic instruments of the 70's and 80's. A separate Audio Mod control adds additional harmonic complexity and movement.
A powerful new feature unique to the Prophet REV2 is waveshape modulation. You can now vary the pulse width of any of the four waveforms (sawtooth, saw+tri, triangle, square). Using the Shape Mod control, you can manually dial in a desired waveshape width or use an LFO or other mod source for continuously shifting timbre. Even single-oscillator sounds take on new depth and dimension. The tonal possibilities are vast.
The effects section provides reverb, delays (standard and BBD), chorus, phase shifter, ring modulation, and distortion. In stacked or split voice mode, you can apply a different effect to each layer. Effects parameters can be modulated through the easy-to-assign Mod Matrix, now twice as big, with 8 individual slots and many more sources/destinations. It's a veritable sound designer's playground.
The polyphonic step sequencer allows up to 64 steps and up to 6 notes per step. You can create a different sequence for each layer when you are working in stacked or split voice mode, making it a powerful tool for composition or performance. The sequencer also functions as a modulation source in gated mode, allowing you to create up to 4 different 16-step sequences for complex modulation. Sequences allow ties and rests, and can sync to an external MIDI clock. The arpeggiator features note repeats, re-latching, and can be synced to external MIDI clock, as well.
The knob-per-function front panel offers instant access to Prophet REV2 functions. Included are 512 permanent factory programs and 512 rewritable user programs. All of this polyphonic power is packed into a five-octave, premium-quality, semi-weighted keyboard with velocity and channel aftertouch. Other road-worthy features include an integrated power supply, USB support, and a crisp OLED display, making the Prophet REV2 an ideal instrument for gigging or recording, and an analog powerhouse like no other.
Everything about the DR-05 is designed to get the best quality recordings of your music. A new pair of built-in microphones withstands up to 125dB SPL - the volume of a jet plane from 200 feet away - yet still have the sensitivity to capture every detail of a performance. You can add your own microphone or line-level source through the 1/8" stereo input, including plug-in power for microphones that need it.
Internally, the DR-05's digital and analog circuit boards are built separately to increase noise performance, with a low-impedance design to further decrease hiss. A separate power supply is sent to the A/D and D/A converter for even better audio performance. The result is clean sound quality - over 92dB signal to noise ratio, under 0.05% total harmonic distortion and 20Hz to 40kHz response (-1/+3dB) at 96kHz/24-bit resolution.
The layout of the DR-05 has been revamped to be quick and easy to work with one thumb. Operations like recording, adjusting levels, deleting bad takes and adding markers are just a button press away. Dig deeper to find features like limiting, low cut filtering, a built-in chromatic tuner and more.
One new feature that makes the DR-05 easy to operate is the new Peak Reduction feature. This setting automatically sets your recording level by listening to the input and adjusting for the best level. Unlike Auto Gain settings, this one only goes down to prevent accidental distortion after a period of low level like a break. Peak Recording works in rehearsal mode or in record, so if the performance is louder than the soundcheck you're still safe. Used with the built-in limiter, it's unlikely you'll distort your career-making live recording.
Other classic TASCAM features are included, like Variable Speed Audition to loop and slow down music without changing the pitch - perfect for transcribing or learning new music. A Level Align function can be switched on for playback, to smooth out any sudden volume jumps, and a built-in speaker is also provided. The two AA batteries are enough to power the recorder for 17 1/2 hours, even while recording at CD quality.
For musicians and recordists at any stage of their career, there's no easier way to get great-sounding recordings than Tascam's DR-05.
The "DR-05" is equipped with omnidirectional stereo condenser microphones that can not only record sounds directly in front of the microphones but also record ambient sound from all directions. This is great for capturing the excitement from the audience such as at live events, producing realistic recordings. The recording format is compatible with 24bit/96kHz, which is higher than CD quality.
Proven high sound pressure design that is perfect for loud recordings such as bands or passing trains. It can be used for recoding quiet sound sources such as lectures or for loud sound sources such as rock bands.
The peak reduction function automatically lowers the level when a peak sound is detected and continues recording. The level can be set automatically according to the sound source, so it is easy for anyone to set the optimal level.
The "DR-05" has a total of three different input signal level adjustment functions including a peak reduction function.
The overdubbing function allows for overdub recording while playing a recorded file. This can allow you to record other parts of a musical production such as a guitar solo over a recording made at a rehearsal studio later at home. Overdubbing creates a new file, leaving the original file unaffected, making it easy to rerecord.
Reverb can be added for music demo recordings and overdub recordings to add a more natural resonance. Reverb can also be used during playback, making it possible to express the 'live' feeling at a hall by adding reverb to created music.
Records and pauses automatically. If the input signal level falls below the nominal level for more than 5 seconds during recording, it automatically switches to standby. If the input sound level rises above the nominal level again, recording restarts as a new file. This is useful when you do not want to record unnecessary portions such as lecture intermissions.
If the input signal level falls below the nominal level for more than 5 seconds during recording, it sets a mark when it rises above the nominal level again. This is useful when you want to search for a song position after a recording such as for live recordings. Marks can be used by BWF compatible software.
Peaks is a dual-channel module - making it very useful for duophonic patches or for controlling/synthesizing the kick/snare rhythmic backbone of a patch.
Peaks' first function is a no-frills ADSR envelope with segment times going from 0.2ms to 8s. Carefully tuned envelope shapes (quartic attack, exponential decay and release) provide a smooth but nervous response.
LFO and tap LFO:
Peaks' can work as a free-running, resettable LFO, or as a tempo synchronized LFO.
5 waveforms are available, each of them with a shape/morphing parameter: wavefolded sine, variable slope triangle, PWM square, stepped triangle and sampled/interpolated noise.
A unique feature of Peaks is its ability to lock onto irregular sequence of taps: the module can detect the periodicity of the incoming trigger pattern, and adjust the duration of the LFO cycles accordingly.
Peaks can synthesize bass-drum, snare-drum and hi-hat sounds using a digital model of the TR-808 circuits. An alternate drum generation mode synthesizes more aggressive FM-style drum sounds.
Unlike granular sample players, Clouds is focused on the realtime granularization of incoming audio signals, and the acquisition of textures from them.
Classic controls such as grain position, size, and pitch are provided. Clouds can superimpose many grains simultaneously (at least 40, depending on the CPU used by its other features) and thus create thick textures. Control over texture density, independently of grain size, is thus provided. An external trigger input allows grains to be seeded in sync with LFOs or rhythmic generators.
To provide a richer variety of timbres, Clouds allows the shape of the grain's envelope to be morphed - from sharp rectangular edges to a smooth bell curve. In addition, a diffusion network can further dissolve the edges of grains into blurry textures.
Finally, to cover various applications of granular synthesis without the need for additional modules, Clouds' comes with four "blending" settings for mixing and re-routing its output signal: dry/wet balance, random panning amount, feedback amount, and reverberation amount. Voltage control over one of those four parameters is possible.
Clouds' delay memory ranges from 1s to 8s depending on audio quality settings.
Other surprises have been packed in Clouds, including alternative looping delay and pitch-shift/time-stretch modes... and a very strange spectral buffer freeze/glitch.

The ATH-M50x features the same coveted sonic signature, now with refined earpads and detachable cables.
From large-aperture drivers to sound isolating earcups and robust construction, the M50x provides an unmatched experience for the most critical audio professionals.
This product includes interchangeable coiled and straight cables, a carry pouch and a 1/4" jack adapter for universal compatibility.
The DR-10CL & CS recorders have both inputs and outputs, so they can either be used stand-alone or with a wireless transmitter. When used with a transmitter, the DR-10C acts as a backup to protect against wireless dropouts during recording. For lectures or worship services, the DR-10C can record the entire program before it gets to the front of house system. And for events like weddings and reality TV production, the DR-10C is a compact recording system for body mics.
The lightweight DR-10C runs for hours on a single AAA battery. It records to standard microSD media. Recording features include auto-gain and a low-cut filter for simple setup. Its dual recording feature records a safety track of your audio at a lower level, so in case of distortion you have a non-clipped backup. When multiple units are used, an infrared signal can synchronize settings between recorders.
Whether using it as a backup or as a primary recording system, there's nothing else like the Tascam DR-10CL and CS.
Not only does this handheld recorder meet the demand for recording high-quality audio with ease, it also has advanced Wi-Fi functions for full remote control, streaming playback and file transfer.
Two unidirectional mic units are utilized together for stereo recording in an X-Y format. They are arranged so that their diaphragms overlap in the same axis. X-Y format recording can capture sound with a good stereo image and no sense of emptiness at the center. Since the mic units will not distort even at high volumes, recording with a great sense of nearness is possible even in high-volume situations.
In addition, a shock mount structure is used to hold the mic capsules. This absorbs vibrations effectively even when mounted on a digital SLR camera.
The scene dial has eight preset scenes with different settings. This function automatically makes adjustments according to the situation so all the user needs to do for optimal recording is press the record button. Of course, when "M" (manual) is selected, settings can be adjusted manually. When set to ">", the user can use the play function to adjust the speed of playback, change the pitch and use other features that are perfect for practice.
The bottom of the large 128 x 128 LCD shows the next operations that are necessary according to the current conditions. The 4 function keys can be used to make selections for easy operation. This is a handheld recorder that can be easily mastered.
TASCAM has once again revolutionized handheld recording! The DR-22WL creates its own Wi-Fi network, and a free dedicated app can be used for remote operation without touching the unit. Not only does the app allow recording to be started and stopped, it can also be used to check and adjust input levels from an iOS or Android device. Everything related to recording can be done by Wi-Fi.
Since the Wi-Fi transmission range is about 20m/65 feet, this feature can be used with the recorder in places that are normally out of reach. In addition, audio can be checked by Wi-Fi after recording. The audio quality can be checked through headphones connected to a smartphone. With operation capabilities and flexibility that exceeds infrared remotes - and reliability that approaches that of wired remotes - this handheld recorder allows freedom of placement that far surpasses that of previous models.
The benefits of Wi-Fi are not limited to recording. Audio files can be transmitted via Wi-Fi to smartphones and computers. They can also be uploaded to SoundCloud using a dedicated application. SoundCloud is tightly linked with other social networking services. For example, if a recording is shared to Facebook, it will appear on the user's timeline. By uploading a live recording immediately after performance, audience members could listen to the concert again on their way home.
Even though the DR-22WL is a professional recording device, it also has numerous automatic functions that make capturing high-quality recordings easy for anyone. In addition to automatic recording functions, the unit also has functions that simplify file management. Users can create high-quality recordings without complicated operations.
In addition to recording, this unit also has functions that can be used for music creation. The overdubbing function allows new sounds to be layered over existing recordings. This can be used to add solo parts to karaoke and to create harmonies by recording the same instrument multiple times.
By using the reverb effect, users can create sounds that are even more appealing using just the DR-22WL.
1:3 is a 3-output buffered multiple, with an offset error < 0.1%. It is useful for distributing the voltage from a CV output with a large protection resistor to several modules - particularly VCOs.
2:2 is a 2-input summer with unity gains. The sum of the two input channels is distributed to 2 outputs.
3:1 is a 3-input mixer with a gain of 1/3 for each channel (averager). It is particularly suitable for rapidly mixing audio sources such as oscillators, for which a unity gain mixer would have caused clipping.
A 2-color output monitoring LED is available for each of these functions.
What about four more?
Veils provides four VCAs with an adjustable response curve. Veils' outputs are daisy-chained, allowing adjacent groups of 2, 3, or all 4 channels, to be mixed together.
While the 0-COAST utilizes classic modular synthesis techniques, it's designed to operate with or without the use of patch cables. The necessary connections have been made from circuit to circuit so it operates as an expressive, musical MonoSynth. Using only the MIDI controller of your choice you could apply new timbres to your existing musical forms!
Using the included Patch Cables you could get more scientific, experimenting with new ways to wire up the circuits. You might even forgo MIDI altogether, disappearing into a cloud of analog FM induced Sidebands and harmonics scattered around a single fundamental drone that has nothing to do with any form of music you've ever known.

The iLok is a special USB device that holds your licenses for iLok-enabled software. Software publishers use the iLok to provide secure protection for their software. When you run their iLok-enabled software, it looks for the software license on your attached iLok.
The Third Generation iLok:
Smaller, faster, and with even greater capacity, the new iLok is here! The Third Generation iLok is fully compatible with software created for the second generation iLok. With its smaller form factor and metal body, it is more robust and less prone to casual damage.
- It's portable - you can authorize your software anywhere it is installed. At home, work, or at a remote location, you can keep your software licenses with you, not on your computer.
- It's convenient and cross-platform - Store your Mac and Windows iLok-enabled software licenses all on a single iLok. A Third Generation iLok can hold over 1500 licenses.
- Worry Free - Your licenses are on the safest, most secure solution: the iLok. With Zero Downtime protection available, you've got 24/7 peace of mind.
Managing your licenses has never been so easy. Using the iLok License Manager application, you can:
- View what is on your iLok(s)
- Download new licenses from participating software publishers
- Manage your licenses, including moving them between iLoks within your account and from your iLoks back to your account
- Transfer licenses to other iLok.com accounts
What do I need in order to use my iLok?
In order to use an iLok, you'll need at least 3 things:
- Your iLok
- A license for the iLok-protected software you want to run (you'll need to have the publisher place this license in your account or send you an Activation code)
- The software that is iLok protected (usually a download from the Publisher's or retailer's website, we do not host those on this site)
Your iLok will need special License Support software in order to talk to the protected software. Your protected software most likely installed this special software, but you can always get the latest version of this software by installing the iLok License Manager.
Push is a hardware instrument designed and engineered entirely by Ableton for a music-making experience that is as hands-on, expressive and closely integrated with Live as possible. Push and Live work together seamlessly to let you make beats, play notes and chords, work with samples and develop song structure - all without needing to look at a computer.
Browse, preview and load your own sounds for making beats, or access Live's vast library of drums. Then play beats live with the 64 velocity-sensitive pads and adjust sounds and kits while you play, using eight touch-sensitive endless encoders. Or switch to a 16-pad mode that allows you to play in real time, step sequence beats, and adjust the length of your loop, all at the same time.
You can also tweak timing, velocity, and parameter values individually for each pad. And the free Live 9.7 update has brought the 16 Velocities drum layout, an alternative way of making dynamic beats, with 16 set velocity levels for playing or programming patterns.
Play notes and chords:
Push's pads correspond to pitches, and offer a condensed layout that encourages a fresh approach to melody and harmony: large intervals can be reached easily, and patterns can be played with the same fingerings in all keys. You can select a key and scale with the touch of a button, and Push's touch slider can be used for pitch bend or modulation.
Push also lets you step sequence notes and chords: use the pads to enter notes, then make precise timing changes, create variations or adjust note length and velocity. You can even step sequence automation: record a parameter's value for each step to create rhythmic, quantized parameter changes that are locked to specific notes in your loop.
Work with samples:
Three separate workflows offer fast and flexible ways to get creative with your samples. Classic mode lets you turn melodic samples into playable pitched instruments. In One Shot mode, samples playback monophonically and all the way through, no matter how long you hold the pad - perfect for playing drums. You can also transpose a playing sample without retriggering it, allowing you to transform musical phrases into whole new melodies.
Slicing mode is designed for chopping up longer samples. With the Live 9.7 update you can now slice by beat division and region, or manually set slices, and instantly play each slice on a different pad. It's perfect for rearranging loops on the fly or for creating drum kits from recorded grooves. Plus you can now select and record audio and MIDI ins and outs directly from Push, so you can sample your external gear and more, without disrupting your flow.
Beautiful and playable:
Everything about Push has been carefully considered to provide a quality playing experience. The multi-colour display adapts to show you exactly what you need to help you stay in the creative flow without adding distraction. Push's pads have been designed to feel soft, smooth and responsive - perfect for creating expressive beats and melodies.
Push is equally at home in the studio or on stage. You can keep your performances in-the-moment by switching between improvising with loops and playing drums, notes, and chords - all from the same playing surface.
Seamless with Live:
Using Push, you can launch clips and scenes, tweak device parameters and control mixer levels and sends - Live can capture every movement. When you're ready, switch from Push to your computer to find your music already laid out in Live - the software that was powering your work the whole time.
The ETC comes with numerous pattern generators called modes. Navigate the modes using buttons, and then tweak their visual appearance using four knobs. The modes respond to audio input in various ways; from smooth undulating patterns to rapid fire animations. There is a global control for background colour and a setting that allows the graphics to pile up in vibrant collages.
When you happen upon a setting that you like, press the scene save button to save it. Now this scene can be recalled at a future time. The screenshot button saves the current frame as a JPEG to the USB drive on the side of the device.
The ETC features MIDI inputs so you can automate it with other devices or your favourite computer performance software. Program change messages recall saved scenes and CC messages control the visual parameters. You can easily create visuals in sync with the rest of your tracks!
If you really want to go deep, you can also program your own modes for the ETC. Modes are written in Python. Attaching a USB WiFi adapter (sold separately) turns the ETC into a WiFi hotspot so you can edit and create modes right from a web browser.

The typical spring reverb sound is generated by a Belton/Accutronics type 4 spring tank with 3 individual springs. It can be placed pre or post the VCF/VCA section and equalized by the Tone parameter.
The Crash function generates the popular thunder effect that occurs when kicking an amplifier with spring tank. You don't have to kick Retroverb Lancet you simply can achieve this effect by pressing the Crash button. It also can be triggered by a Gate voltage.
The multimode filter works as lowpass or highpass with a slope of 24 dB per octave or as bandpass with 12 dB per octave. It is followed by a voltage controlled amplifier. The filter and amplifier can be modulated individually by different sources.
The Retroverb Lancet offers 3 internal modulation sources:
Envelope follower: the envelope follower converts the amplitude characteristic of the audio input signal into a control voltage.
Envelope generator: the envelope generator can be triggered by the input signal itself, a second audio signal or a gate voltage. Depending on the trigger source it works as Attack-Decay or as Attack-Sustain-Release envelope.
LFO: the LFO offers saw up and saw down, square, sine as well as sample&hold. Additionally it can use the envelope generators settings as waveform. It can oscillate freely or reset by different trigger sources.
The Retroverb Lancet also offers a CV/Pedal input which can be feed by external control voltages or can be used with expression pedals.
The Disting is also a sample (WAV) file and MIDI file player, with a variety of options for sample triggering, playback speed etc.
The Disting Mk4 was introduced in January 2017. The main differences compared to the Disting Mk3 are:
- Dot matrix screen, capable of showing text and numeric values
- Micro SD card slot accessible on the front panel
- Compatibility with the Select Bus protocol
- An internal precision clock allowing new algorithms such as a tuner, and pitch and frequency references
The Disting Mk4's specifications are as follows:
- Panel width: 4HP
- Module depth: 42mm
- X & Y inputs, A & B outputs / Sample rate: 75kHz / ADC: 24 bit, THD+N -93dB, Dynamic range 99dB, SNR 99dB / DAC: 24 bit, THD+N -94dB, Dynamic range 105dB, SNR 104dB
- Z input sample rate: 75kHz
- CPU: Microchip PIC32MX at up to 50MHz
- Current draw: 51mA on the +12V rail, 19mA on the -12V rail
The front panel is drilled for both Doepfer and Analogue Systems mounting holes (using a 'slot' rather than a single round hole). The power connector is a Doepfer standard 16 way IDC, with -12V furthest from the top of the board.

Comfort, even during prolonged listening:
Focal's idea with Sphear? To prove that in-ear headphones could provide high-fidelity acoustics worthy of the best of standard headphones, while avoiding any discomfort during prolonged listening.
Since 2 years, the engineers at Focal worked with our designer to change people's vision of in-ear headphones.
Its innovative concept when it comes to shape, Sphear has redefined the approach towards the ear canal which dominated the in-ear market: memory foam tips on the front adapt naturally to the ear; an extended housing at the back shifts the weight of the headphones to the inferior auricle of the ear.
This relieves the ear canal from excessive volume and weight which generally resulted in temporary discomfort.
Multi-function remote control:
Connect the headphones to the audio source using the 3.5mm mini-jack. The multi-function remote control enables you to control all your devices connected to your In-Ear headphones: smartphone, tablets, MP3 player, computers.
Equipped with an omnidirectional microphone, the remote control enables you to control telephone calls (answer call, end call) and play functions (play, stop, next track, previous track).
Ergonomic tips for optimal comfort:
Sphear is supplied with 3 pairs of memory foam tips and 3 pairs of silicone tips so you can use those which suit your ear canal best to optimise noise isolation and audio quality.
Carrying case to protect your headphones:
To protect your headphones when you travel, wind them up and place them in the appropriate compartment in the carrying case. The thickness of the cables helps to reduce tangling.
Aircraft adapter for better compatibility:
Take full advantage of in-flight films and music in stereo sound. This double 3.5mm jack ensures compatibility in aeroplanes.

The Lightpad Block is the center of the BLOCKS system. You make music through natural movements on the Block's smooth, glowing, pressure-responsive surface. Drop beats and shape melodies by striking, sliding, and pressing your fingers on the surface. Illuminated grids help you find your notes. Light Trails guide you to learn musical gestures quickly. To get started on BLOCKS, all you need is a Lightpad Block and NOISE, the iOS app.
Shape any kind of music on one powerful surface:
Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, the Lightpad Block packs more power than a roomful of instruments. When it's paired with the NOISE app you can make any kind of music - drum beats, guitar leads, orchestral melodies - on its versatile surface. It's totally approachable and easy to learn. So you can express the music inside of you - whether you play an instrument or not.
Touch Sound. It Glows:
Making music on the Lightpad Block is a delightful interaction of touch, sound, and light. Its silicone surface is pressure-responsive, and you shape sound by striking the surface, pressing into it, and moving your fingers around it. Not only do you touch sound. You also see it. The LED-illuminated surface glows, and each touch leaves a trace of light. Colourful grids guide you to make different kinds of music.
Strike, Glide, Slide, Press, Lift:
The Lightpad Block gives you five ways to shape sound through touch. Strike the surface to sound a note, as you would on a piano key or a drum. Glide your fingers from side to side to bend the pitch, as violinists do. Slide up and down to modulate the sound. Press into the surface to deepen sounds, like a saxophone player does by breathing more. Lift off the surface at different speeds to change a sound's resonance.
Learn to play:
The easiest way to learn music is to see it right in front of you. In Learn Mode, Light Trails appear on the surface that guide you to make beats and melodies. Follow a few zigzags and end with a strike. You might not know it until you finish, but that's a cool riff. Learn Mode teaches you the gestures for making music, so you can move more quickly to performing.
Drop some beats:
The Lightpad Block is a beat-making machine. Choose a drum kit in NOISE. Tap the surface with your finger at different speeds and on different pads of the illuminated grid. You make beats just like you would on live drums. Choose a Groove Kit and drop some grooves simply by moving your fingers around the surface.
Take your beats to the next level:
As you learn more you can do more with your beats. The NOISE app puts within reach techniques that electronic musicians use all the time. Record loops of your favourite beats - a bass drum here, a snare drum there - and build your loops into a track. You don't need to be a DJ. But you might sound like one sooner than you think.
Play a melody:
The Lightpad Block is also an amazing instrument for playing melodies. Glide your fingers from side to side to create an expressive flute solo. Slide a finger upward to add some growl to your bass guitar. You can play all kinds of tunes. Start by choosing a scale. The notes of the scale appear on the pads of the illuminated grid. Turn on Hide Mode and you'll always be in tune, because you'll only see the notes for that scale.
Play in harmony:
Add depth and texture to your melodies through special features on NOISE. You can play chords and arpeggios by pressing a single note. With so many sounds available, you can record melodic sequences from a range of instruments. Then - like an orchestra conductor or film score producer - layer them to create beautiful harmonies.
Make a song:
Anyone can arrange a musical composition with the Lightpad Block and NOISE. Just record your favourite beats and melodies as loops, and layer those loops on top of each other to make a song. Keep building your song as your skills and interests grow. Perform one part of it live for your friends, and the riff you improvise may be the best thing you've come up with yet.
A piece of work, a work of art:
Breakthroughs in engineering, sound, and design make the Block a truly revolutionary instrument. The surface is made of special tactile silicone that's dotted with hundreds of light wells. BLOCKS DNA connectors not only magnetically connect the Blocks. They also send data, so each Block knows how it's configured with other Blocks. As much as the gestures you make on its surface, the Lightpad Block is the new shape of music.
The SM57 has an extremely effective cardioid pickup pattern that isolates the main sound source while minimizing background noise. In the studio, it is excellent for recording drums, guitar, and woodwinds.
Outstanding performance, reliability, and application diversity make this workhorse the choice of performers, producers, and sound engineers worldwide.
