The long awaited debut album from London's leading electro producers and DJs John Taylor (ex-The Droyds), together with his partner Arif Salih (ex-Natural Born Chillers). Bringing together an exciting list of legendary and fresh guest collaborations, the album features tracks with artists such as Boy George, Steve Strange (Visage), Marc Almond, Avenue D, Gene Serene and Princess Julia. As a duo the Punx have done remixes for Dead or Alive (Sony), Atomizer (Gigolo), Neonman (Pale Music), Ping Pong Bitches (Umami), Visage (Sony), Soho Dolls, S Express (BMG), Jetlag (We rock like crazy) and also original tracks on Pale Music, Delta B and Beautycase Records. Now Pale Music (Berlin) releases the Punx first LP as a double album. The title 'When Machines Ruled The World' refers to the time when music was made with old analogue machines, as Punx Soundcheck use only analogue equipment. While CD1 of the album is geared for home listening, the tracks on CD2 are much more club oriented.
