Alexander Polzin - "Fruchtchen" |
Having initiated a return to action in fine style with Iron Curtis' debut album Soft Wide Waist Band, the Mirau label comes correct with this split release from Erobique and Alexander Polzin. "Warmer Bruder" signals a welcome return to the Hamburg imprint for Erobique, with the local lad having released on Mirau back in its early days and this new production is wonderful, all rich instrumental touches and glorious melodic flourishes that burst with a certain incandescence - a fine example of European deep house. To begin with, Polzin's "Fruchtchen" seems to exist in a darker realm, though it's gradually drawn towards the light in undeniably epic fashion.
