Firmly ensconsed in the house music axis, the NYC based label Let's Play House first dabbled in the art of various artists EPs last year with celebrated results, drawing on the talents of The Dead Rose Music Company and Bicep amongst others. Clearly emboldened by their success, a second V/A EP arrives sporting a similarly high profile cast of international contributors in Montel (McWilliams), Portuguese duo The Johnwaynes, Belgian Mugwump and Newcastle pairing Last Waltz. UK talent Montel has been on some form this year and the chord heavy "Can't Go Wrong" maintains his sleek streak while The Johnwaynes offer an undeniably tech house drum track in "Alexandria". Mugwump pulls out his power synths for some throbbing and brooding psychedelia, while Last Waltz remain rocksteady in "Sorry Ronnie" which features flutters of tropicana underpinned by a electrified synths and forward driving beats.
Montel, Jacques Renault, Osmose, Leri Ahel, The Legendary 1979 Orchestra, Goldsmith (Rebel Disco/Push Push)
