Originally released in 2006, Basement Freaks' full-length album finally gets a download release for the first time. A sophisticated mix of styles - afro jazz, bossa, funk and Latin grooves - all get given a chilled, slightly dubby treatment as songs like "Duru People", "Belezza Makonia" and "Nova Monkeys" mix live playing and studio beats. A nice side to a producer more used to rocking dancefloors, Urban Jungle ties together very well indeed and is an album worth coming back to again and again.
