Not holding back on the chance to rip up a perennial boogie floor-filler, Thomas Zander gets busy on Popcorn with "Purple People", creating a very useful contemporary house mix of a universally loved jam without diluting the weighty funk of the original. Creative Swing Alliance then turns in a remix of "Purple People" that creates a more shuffled and airy atmosphere that teases as much as it delivers. On the flipside S3A remixes "Flying Piano" with lashings of weighty on-the-one production, working in plenty of slick live bass and filter build-ups to complement the chunky groove, and then "By All Means" finds Zander back at the controls flying in some easy-rolling funky house.
