Recorded live at Camden Roundhouse during last year's Short Circuit presents Mute festival, Transverse sees Throbbing Gristle members Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti join forces with Factory Floor's Nik Void for a series of texture-laden, experimental grooves. For those with a love of industrial music, this is almost a dream line-up. The fusion of Tutti and Void's effect-laden guitars with Carter's electronic figures and synth noises - all underpinned by a thunderous 4/4 pulse - veers from the hypnotic to the mesmerizing. Throughout, it's moody, intense and unsurprisingly far-sighted.
