The second of three highly collectible 10" samplers from Mokira's upcoming album for Kontra Music arrives replete with a remix from Echospace, the deep and dubby collab between Rod Modell and Steven Hitchell. The original version of "Axis Audio" is a dark, dubby, clunking slice of ambient techno. The beatless track lurches forward through a darkened forest of mechanical creaks and eerie, bubbling atmospherics. Ehcospace endow the track with a rhythmic pulse as a 4/4 drum pattern enters the soundscape, yet manage to retain the original's underlying sense of menace.
