Baalsaal Records are always on point when it comes to their output, with the likes of Chris Lattner, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Aeromaschine having release on the imprint. This time it's Rockford Inc who takes the spotlight, an artist we have to admit we don't know too much about, his identity being rather ambiguous upon research to say the least! "This Is Not My Underwear" begins with "Please Stay (Who Is 121 Mix)" and whilst Rockford Inc may be unknown to us, his sound fits Baalsaal like a glove. Deep chugging basslines and cleverly off beat claps weave throughout the A-Side's cutting hi-hats and soothing synths to create a classy and well produced piece. On remix duty for "Please Stay" is American Jay Haze. Twisting the track upside down, Haze strips back the original's soothing appeal and by dropping the elements in one by one creates a tense and dramatic remix. Lastly, "Midnite Soul" gets deep and groovy with a gloriously deep bassline and sensual male vocal.
