Seattle producers Zepp001 return to Delusions Of Grandeur for their first release since 2009's warmly received Don't Sleep. Here, they offer up two more originals in their distinctive, melodic style, plus a flipside remix from DJ Nature. Lead cut "The Warm" is a sprightly, other-worldly effort full of alien melodies and nagging, high register chords (think Deep Space Orchestra), while "Dearly Beloved" twists warped chords and far out nu-disco synths around a bubbling low-end groove. The real killer, though, is DJ Nature's rub of "Dearly Beloved", which brilliantly re-casts the original as a dubbed out, jazz-flecked deep houser.
