Venerable French duo Cassius dust off 2000 classic "The Sound Of Violence" and enlist a motley crew of remixers to give the Steve Edwards-featuring track a contemporary sheen. Firstly Cassius drop their own 'reggae rock dub', which strips everything back to the vocals and an addictive tearing synth bassline, while Franco Cinelli goes for a sparse, minimal (there we said it) composition. Flip over for two more tweaks from two contrasting figures on the DJ circuit - Luciano and Aeroplane. The former gets clap-happy on an anthemic stomper while the latter's version has 'peak time' indeliably stamped on its forehead.
