Belgrade duo The Kompleks step up to Plimsoll - the eminently danceable offshoot of Shoes - demonstrating something of a preference for the legend that is Lynn Collins. The Kompleks go at two classics from the soul singer's back cat, with their opening take on "Put It On The Line" a real showcase of their talent that wouldn't look out of place on an Editainment twelve inch (you're gonna have to resist the temptation to start busting out your best LL Cool J impression though). Their take on Collins' "Wheels Of Life" retains the funked essence of the source but adds a nice sonic ripple to proceedings. Sandwiched in between these are an elongated version of Asha Puthli's "Space Talk" straight from the school of Terje and a bumping 4/4 take on Linton Kwesi Johnson, perfect for the afternoon hours on Petrcane.
