London based label Uzuri have a sterling - and well deserved - reputation for their pure approach to releasing quality deep music, be it house, techno or anything in between. With their 14 releases to date the label have barely put a step wrong and this time they welcome a trio of newcomers who go by the name Pittsburgh Track Authority. A-Side "Duskshaped" bathes in lush analogue drums, gentle basslines and vintage synths, effortlessly showcasing the very reasons they've been signed to Uzuri. Next up "Vertical Impact" changes direction as a lightly syncopated driver, fed along by squelchy chords and the hollow drop of a wooden mallet adding a dramatic tint. "Bloodlands" and "77B" share a low slung and forever simmering feel, as reverbed percussion, dubby chord stabs and looped chanting lull us blissfully through the B-Side.
