With a starkly original sound, Chicago Damn returns on his own fledgling imprint to drop some delightfully spannered science, not least on "Circuit Breakers". Working around a rough techno template and feeding in loop after loop of strangeness on top of the groove is a devastatingly simple trick that works remarkably well in this instance. "Say Aaahh!" is a sweeter track with a more discernible melodic feel, but still the oddball samples prevail to inject some spice into the mix. "RAW" piles the rough drums and flowing arrangement on heavy with a fantastic, electro-flecked jam that holds back as much as it gives away.
