    Review

Singer Sandy Barber was just 22 when she recorded her one and only album, The Best Is Yet To Come, in 1977. At the time, it was largely ignored by most people within New York's dance music community, despite being packed with impeccable dewy-eyed soul moments and grandiose disco jams. Since then, it's become something of a must-have for disco collectors. Here the original album gets the BBE reissue treatment, allowing a new generation of disco heads to revel in its heartfelt simplicity. This deluxe, expanded edition includes a slew of unreleased and lesser-known Barber tracks recorded in the same period, plus alternative takes and remixes from John Morales and Al Kent.
